Your Star Trek series pitch

Les Moonvest has decided to scrap Discovery and find fresh talent to create and run a new Star Trek series.

Give me your pitch, Sup Forums.

Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda but set in canon Trek universe

I was gonna say something like this. A post-galactic apocalypse with the Federation and all the other empires no longer existing, and every one getting out into space for the first time in eons and rediscovering one another.

the entire crew is gay males and has sex onscreen constantly.

A bunch of new standalone adventures set as many years after the end of Voyager as we actually are, with a captain in command, not some janitor probationer low-stakes captain. Not having her be called Hillary Obama would also be nice.

Is Les Moonvest a real name?

WHYYYYY

Star Trek is a series of ethical thought experiments set in space so you can make everyone allegorical. That is the show's purpose. Why do people insist on getting fucking space opera or hard SF into the mix? It was never about that, that's why normal people liked it too.

Are they all people of color? Maybe with a tranny or two thrown into the mix?

Star Trek: Agents of Obsidian

Given that this tos episode had the Enterprise engines upgraded and could travel to the Andromeda galaxy in 300 years, this idea is entirely doable with minimum retcons.

Do you mean Roddenberry's Andromeda or Roddenberry's Andromeda once his coke-addled scribblings had been rendered workable as drama by being entirely rewritten?

do those fancy belt buckles of theirs do anything?

A Star Trek show focusing on a female sex worker (prostitute, pornstar, or stripper) that becomes a member of the Enterprise.

Or a Star Trek show starring a mostly minority cast trying to complete their mission with a busted ship and threadbare resources, illustrating that non-white people (and aliens) still get the shorter end of the stick, even in an idyllic version of the future with the promise of equality. The captain could be Asian, an alien species, or maybe a mix between a human race and an alien race (but would look more alien than someone like Spock).

They turn people into small polystyrene objects so that they can be crushed to death in front of Kirk.

>They didn't kill off the black redshirt

Roddenberry's Andromeda once his coke-addled scribblings had been rendered workable as drama by being entirely rewritten, but before his rendered-workable coke-addled scribblings had been altered by Kevin Sorbo.

Star Trek: Firefly
Star Trek: Homeboys from Outer Space

Lower decks as a full run.

It's like The Lake House, but Joey and Worf communicate through time to each other with the power of this chair.

I kinda dig the whole mini-series concept, but given that the series is known to have an end, leave everything on the dance floor. A lot of characters won't survive to the end of the show.

Not a prequel. No time travel. No fate that is destined or known in advance. Put this shit in a galaxy set some point after Nemesis.

Trek battle is best when it is blind submarine warfare. Ships get cloaking devices now. Federation, Klingons, Romulans, anyone with a few bucks to spend on toys. Torpedoes work while cloaked, but good luck hitting anything while ships flee and parry at worp.

The Enterprise, a new enterprise with an appearance more true to TOS feel but modern. A new crew. I'd love to see character cameos, but they have moved on with life elsewhere. I wouldn't turn down the idea of one of the lower officers like Geordi or Warf being captain now, but I would really prefer some new person that is new the the job of being a captain. I don't care if it is male, female, neutral, or even human.

The job is exploration, but not every episode has to be about it. Give me a new warp engine that can realistically cross the entire galaxy in less than a few months.

More weird aliens in the crew. Funny colored humanoids. Things that aren't humanoids. Some of the weirder beings that bend reality and shit. Kirk was always meeting being that never showed up again.

Somewhere as a regular character is a Klingon, and he is always in a delightfully good mood no matter what. Nobody ever explains why, but he is just like that.

The captain needs to have two best friends. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy proved that the Three Stooges formula just works.

> Set 500years after voyager

>Starfleet has developed an experimental transwarp platform taking them to new galaxy

>the platform is a huge Base between 2points and cannot be applied to ships. Continuous resupply it's occur access has limitations but do occur on set rotations.

>a coalition of a united new federation which contains allies from all quadrants band together in 12new flagships of varying designs, crew compliments and roles seek to explore the new galaxy.

>slow expansion in the new galaxy has expansionism and technology breakthroughs and usual research horror stories
stories. The 12 ships are supported by other ships and they go back and forth from the main Base for reports, repair and upgrades

>New villain is a silent enemy. A race of high science and evolutionist that perceive the federation as lesser beings ships are phased dimensional.
They can also raise the dead and warp them to their beliefs, unreversable.

>ship progressively get damaged and repaired, sometimes complete upgrade overhauls.

>the new federation still has some growing pains, old greviences still persist, some disagree with the old ways.

>Ships have full holoemitters with replicators

To add to the holo emitter part each person has specifics lenses like geordi they use it for telemetry data without tricorders

It also enables the holoemitters to set frequencies that make individual holo experiences private or in situations shareable, like red alerts where Constant data is streamed real-time wherever your in the ship.
A bridge exist but is rarely used. Except cases that cause the lenses to fail

>Les Moonvest has decided to scrap Discovery...

i was soooo hopeful i checked to see if this was real...

Firefly set in Dominion territory

It's a TV series, we don't need RPG Min-Maxing.

>a massive generational ship/station that's designed to go through unstable wormhole to another galaxy on a one-way trip
>has communities of all the familiar races who took part in the project
>has its own academy on board
>has massive dock that can build and launch voyager and defiant size ships
>there's no humanoids in the new galaxy, only REALLY alien stuff

Nope, but there is news that there will be a Klingon Captain of another ship as a REGULAR character

two words: TRANS CAPTAIN played by Edris Elbow

beyond already featured a transspecies captain portrayed by idris elba, please try harder

Star Trek: Elite Force. Make a new series following a team of elite security personnel on-board a new ship going into danger.

it was a great videogame, but its way too war-like for a series

Gene and Majel are dead, no reason to respect Gene's original intent

The lead better be Colby Keller or I'm not tuning in.

They need to expand the brand a bit anyway I'm sick of prequels.
