Music nobody listens in private

Music nobody listens in private.

>Music nobody listens

If somebody put it in here, they likely listen to it in public to show off how much of a snowflake they are.

Somebody help me filter this infographic. I already am into deathconsciousness and everything Dan Barret related.

Listen to the albums on wristcutting, fall from tall structure and electrocution.

Thanks.

...

I've listened to this at regular volume multiple times. It's an effective alternative to wrist cutting, and also a good album if you give it a chance

>Music

??? who the fuck listens to harsh noise in any where but a private or headphone environment

I think he's talking about showing it to people or listening to it as a joke. I get that music can be funny like that but I actually despise people that think harsh noise/harsh noise rock "isn't music"

As somebody who has throughly researched and listened to noise music for years I can easily say that's a pretty shitty album especially compared to some of Merzbow's other albums.

Any recommendations?

>marijuana overdose

not the guy you're replying to but Innocence by I am a lake of burning orchids is the best noise album I've heard.

As far as Merzbow goes, Flare Gun or Dharma might be his best works.

what do you listen?

This is a meme opinion by someone who wants to look more knowledgeable than they actually are. It's not my favorite Merzbow album either, but it's by no means a bad noise album

Thanks, I've heard Flare Gun, but not Dharma or Innocence. I'll give them a listen.

Hybrid Noisebloom and Rock Dream are Merzbow's best

Actually it's merzbeat and merzbuddha

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand harsh noise. The dissonance is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of music theory most of the notes will go over a typical listener's ears. There’s also Merzbow's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his macbook- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these songs, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Merzbow truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the sounds of Masami's existential theme song “Woodpecker No. 1” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Merzbow's genius unfolds itself on their phone screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

Whitehouse - Quality Time (My favorite noise/power electronics album ever, has some actually really intriguing textures I haven't seen in any other noise album, gets significantly harsher on the second side)
Dakota Hogback - Vicarious Sadism
C.C.C.C. - Cosmic Coincidence Control Center
James Ferraro - Hacker Track (not sure if this really counts, it's kinda noise-ish)
Alvin Lucier - Bird and Person Dyning
Ramleh - The Hand of Glory
David Rosenboom - Roundup: A Live Electro-Acoustic Retrospective (1968-1984)
Tombstone - A Cascade of Tears
Grim - Folk Music
Whitehouse - Never Forget Death

I hope you enjoy at least some of my recommendations.

Thanks, I'll give those a shot.

I think venearology is better than hybrid noisebloom and the only reason i compare the two is because merzbow famously reuses a lot of samples for venearology in hybrid noisebloom. There are a lot of other albums he does this but i havent listened to a lot of merzbow for awhile.

good read

oh man i love merzbuddha. the cover art always puts me in the perfect frame of mind for the album itself, great pairing.

*raises spork*

This is retarded, only people who don't listen to harsh noise think of it as some avant garde intellectual exercise (well, maybe some people treat it that way, but they're dipshits). It's just deeply satisfying, especially when you listen to music obsessively to cope with social anxiety. It's more like pornography, physical gratification, than an artistic experience.

And yes, by the way, i DO have tinnitus from listening to pulse demon for hours on end. And no, you cannot hear it. It's for the ladies' ears only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

Are you recommending that row?

>implying that marijuana overdoes are not a serious threat to modern society

kek

why would you listen to it in public?

This. Unless Merzbow plays your city every weekend why would you play this in a social environment?

It's literally impossible. It's like trying to hold your breath to death. You'd just pass out before you managed to pull it off.

>not playing harsh noise through a boombox at max volume in public

are you the guy from that virgin walk meme

>listening to merzbow in public
nigga what the fuck are you doing
