There was no SC thread on the catalog at the time of writing. I'll start. Pls try to comment on at least one other persons post before posting because then we all become better and then we have competition which forces us to be better.
>future bass. Kinda. Like the bubbly kind? But not as bubbly as you think.
Competition doesn't have to be the only thing that makes you wanna get better. Just wanting success in general should be enough motivation. You don't wanna be stuck making bad versions of your medium, either. Improvements are always lovely
I think I've stumbled upon this cut few days ago. Not my cup of tea, but I can see people within the future-bass (or whatever this is) community liking it. It doesn't sound on the laptop speakers, it probably sounds better on regular speakers too, so good job on the mix/master.

Tru tru. I'm a big proponent of just making what you wanna make but it also helps to know what steps you can take to get there. Which is why feedback is super duper important. Lol tyty~ this is actually an updated version, I EQd and compd the high mids to make it not so harsh, so now people can listen to T at high volumes or whatever.
way too random to be enjoyable. some nice sound there and could be something if made more simple/have derection.

what a drop. this is professional quality. never give this up
you lost the jokey quality you had in pee break. i miss it. this is too serious. nothing special, way too into yourself in that uncomfortable way, and not that good uncomfortable way. My main thought here is 'who cares'
I like the structure of everything but it's a little bit too noisy I think
jesus
cool. would love to see this sipping a latte with an over produced foam design
at first i was like no way, but then i kept it on for a few more seconds and I think this is my favorite so far
nope, this is my favorite so far. need a cigarette now. love needing a cigarette. hate cigarettes. love love.
doom style voice and flow. write more. develop your style. this could go somewhere. ideas could use some work. you point at them too directly for the message you're trying to reach. try humor.
>hip hop / alt rock >song like the gif >bouncey 808s interesting funk beat >psychedelic sounds >beat go off >fast delivery >good production well mixed >lots of variety >boing

soundcloud.com/big-jilm-555610333 >vaporwave >depression >fake nostalgia stuff i've been making during my extended unemployment/while i've been learning how to use logic pro recs real sick stuff. love your flow and the general vibes this beat is fucking hard a+ stuff this really solid you just gotta be confident and put yourself out there in the track b/c you've got some good bars
This is nice. Kinda Lone sounding i would say without the lyrics. those sound like jonwayne lite.
while it hits all the checkmarks for a song of such a nature, it does feel very empty. Maybe a good vocalist would do the trick but that would have to be something put into practice to see. fine job either way.
you got a interesting tone to your vocals with a noticeable flow but im personally not fond of the production.

Too annoyed with going full review ham on the wrong SC thread, lol, so here's a link to something I made in which I pretend I can rap. soundcloud.com/soundsgote/the-last-great-cat-re Give a fuck to review or not, but I just wasted a lot of tongue in cheek constructive criticism on a dead thread, so at this point I just want med00sa to laugh at my bars
sorry for the late reply, i use parallel compression on the drums with the fabfilter compressor. then i use the freeware FerricTDS to give it that extra saturation. thanks for the positive feedback btw :)

and also no its not 100% samples. but i'll leave you to decide what is and what isn't ;)
Album is finishing up tracking. Hopefully I'll have out the single. Very Yes/Consider the Source inspired, Very excited about the new direction it's taken. Very psychedelic
All instruments I played except the drums which I used an Ableton Push for. I'm not a lead guitarist either so the solo isn't that great.
I feel like the drums were a little inconsistent in volume, but if that was the intent I noticed it for sure. I'm getting a lot of Pink Floyd vibes from the vocal melodies. Pretty good track overall, but it probably could have built up to a larger climax.
