Happy Birthday.
Stop drinking

Make a plan for your life when you become the old guy because it will happen. I hung on to drinking and smoking and fucking around way into my 30s but then when I hit 40 no one wanted to do it anymore and I had no idea what to do with my adulthood. Think of something you want from life that is still available when you're 40+.

Always have a plan. figure out where you want to be in 10 years, and ask, "What do I have to accomplish to get there in that time." That includes school, personal life, and work experience. Then do the 5 year plan... to get to 10 years, where do I have to be in 5 years to be on course? Same evaluations. Then break the 5 years into year groups. What do I need to do this year and next to get to the 5 year goal. Always build in a parallel plan b or c that follows the same goal outline. "If I want to be in cyber security, but can't get there, what makes use of the remanants of my plan?" Forensic IT would fit the bill. Set up 6 month goals or yearly goals and track progress, "What have I done to accomplish the goal? What do I need to do next to stay on track with my plan?" Ask people who ARE ALREADY where you are planning to be. "What did you do and how did you do it to get where you are?" Sometimes you will not only get advice, but help or networking.

1. Make sure you are contrributing to your retirement plan now. Be aggressive in investing so that you earn a good percentage.
2. Work out now, and get into a habit. It is a lot harder to start at 40, and even more so at 50.
Sit less infront of the pc/tv
Read self help books and actively try to better yourself, don't wait for shit to happen.
Yeah this, or if you don't have extra kilos get a gym routine going.
Oldfag here. Stop Fucking around. Give up weed, the last thing you need is a demotivator. Stop buying tattoos and useless shit for your cars - rims, big bore mufflers etc. Take that money and start a retirement fund, because the only thing you’ve got going for you is the miracle of compound interest.
