Godzilla is real

Vlog it
Make sure you disrespect everything
Find a body and laugh

Don't be afraid to visit the red light clubs. Don't leave there without sampling their sex industry or as much local alcohol as possible.

Fuji is a shit climb.

Smile but don't show your teeth when interacting with people.

If you are American try to leave your accent on the plane.

Don't forget to hold down all the buttons on the bidot for a special move combo

carry a bag with you, theres no bins anywhere

pls have a stroll in Aokigahara forest

>go to suicide forest
>record reactions
>post on every social media site
>????
>profit

If you go to highly touristic places (Tokyo,Kyoto...) id guess some stuff would be written in english. Also go to Aokigahara, sounds like a fun place.

samefaggot

tell all the japs that you love anime and watch how much they will appreciate you

also also samefaggot

be polite

Stay in Tokyo unless you like getting stared at like a unicorn.

no

i'm going more down hokkaido and osaka way if anyone knows any good/interesting places.

Do this, but don't. If you get a drink from a vending machine don't walk around with your drink in hand sipping from it, just drink it and finish it near the machine.

The people there don't like it when you drink on the go.

checked

Last time i was there people were literary sneaking after me just to peek on me, thats should give you an idea how curious they are about gaijins, probably wont happen in tokyo thou

Haha this is so true, i got to write autographs for the first time in my life

its a cool place but remember to ask everybody where dio is. its a deep cultural reference that lets them know you respect their culture.

Is this true?

>try to leave your accent on the plane.
what the fuck kind of advice is that?

be professional

and have a plan to kill anyone you meet

Either for drinks or for food you buy at conveniences stores, eat or drink them by the machine or store. Be polite and mindful of others. If your traveling with a bud don't be loud on the trains, keep talking with friends or on the phone to a minimum. Learn some shit about table etiquette. Sales tax is always around 10 yen so compensate, also don't be afraid to pull out your pocket change like a Jew they don't mind here. dress for the weather, right now it really cold here so pack accordingly, if you're coming during the summer it gets hot and humid so bring comfortable and breathable clothes. And lastly if you go to an onsen be mature and don't be nervous, it's usually really quite and people keep for themselves but if it's empty and you go with a bud you'll 100% enjoy it and have a nice chat. Have fun
sources: I live in Japan

Some places will deny you service just based on an American accent, specially the further south you go.

Is it frowned upon to pull out my own fork to eat ramen with rather then use the chopsticks they provide?

>also don't be afraid to pull out your pocket change like a Jew they don't mind here.
where on the planet does anyone care about change?

I think i can explain that, some American tourists does give the impression that they seem to think they are the best at everything, regardless if this statement is true or not, this attitude have japanese being somewhat tired of Americans really, last time i was there the face lit up of the japanese people i encountered when they realized i wasnt an American .

I've personally never seen that hapoene here but I'm sure they won't mind but try to stick with the chopsticks at first they're hard to use but after a bit of practice you get it down.I've been places where they straight up refuse to take change

Have you indulged in their sex industry?

If so can you give tips.

They get offended by tipping

They also get offended if you pay by credit card

Pay the exact amount cash

And accept the business cards people hand you with both hands

Act like the business card is like someone just handed you a new born baby

They don't speak English. For real. If you want to communicate, just learn some basic shit and if even so you need to speak in English in some cases, do the asian/japanese accent

Been to Japan at least 2 dozen times.

1) Make sure you remind everyone you interact with that we nuked their ass in WWII - this keeps them humble and easy to deal with.

2) While on the subway, it is expected that you will molest virtually every female in the subway car with you, It is rude to insert anything other than your middle finger into their vagina's, however - that is a big faux pas.

3) Japanese love it when you keep calling them Pokemon names, like Pikachu, Whalelord, etc. Especially CEO's of major Japanese companies, since it reminds them of their childhood, and shows you understand what is really important to them.

4) When dining at someone's house, you are expected to molest their daughter in front of them just after dinner. The middle-finger rule still applies.

Have fun, user. I'd love to go back, but they revoked my visa for some strange reason...

No sorry can't help you there bud.
Most of this is true, but they don't get offended by paying I'm card and you don't have to pay in exact it's just that most places don't accept card. Also about buissness cards, yes this is true here a business card is like an extension of the person them self, so when you receive one take a minute to inspect both sides and read everything, also DONT PUT IT IN YOUR POCKETS this is seen as disrespectful so either invest in a card holder to put them in or just place them down after your done inspecting it. I doubt you'll ever be in a situation like this but it's nice to be prepared

The business card thing is true in most asian countries. Korea, China, Malaysia, etc.

Just remind your hosts that it is customary for Americans to expect Hookers at dinner, since you handled their business card so properly.

Also bc you're on Sup Forums you'll probably go to some hentai shops, I don't blame you but if you go try to wear a hat and don't make eye contact with anyone. Also don't laugh or be loud or they'll kick you out

Everyone has a business card?

Looks like the threads dying so have fun and enjoy yourself here in Japan

>wear a hat

I can kinda understand the no eye contact but why a hat?

Not everybody you'll only encounter this during business meeting and formal shit like that

To hide the fact you're a tourist. Most of the time they'll just ignore you but it's mostly to play it safe

Do not draw attention to yourself. Be humble, polite, and do not be a degenerate. Chances are good that those with tattoos are not friendly.

I'm also going to japan for 2 weeks in May for my Honeymoon.

Staying in Tokyo and Kyoto each for a week.

If you're referring to yakuza they aren't that big of a deal and don't mess with small petty things like tourists at this point theyre not that prominent and only deal in politics n shit

This is a lie,
1. Japanese can't tell where your fucking accent is from.
2. America has multiple accents.
3. Japanese will just deny you service for not being Japanese.

If you want to try something more out of the way try Wakkanai and Rishiri island in the north of Hokkaido. Beware, you will need a basic command of the Japanese language because less people speak english in these parts.

If you can manage to be in Sapporo during the Yosakoi Soran festival you will have a very nice festival experience.

Not like Americans nuked the shit out of them or anything like that.

What's with everyone going to Japan lately?
It's like the cool place to go now or something.

Also going to respectfully visit Hiroshima while there.

Idk tbh I just live here it's okay ig

be polite, don't talk on trains, always say itadakimasu before you eat pussy

I think countries go in and out of fashion. Like, there's usually one country out of China, Japan, Korea and others in SE asia that's in vogue at any given time, one of the Scandinavian countries has more popularity, certain European ones etc. Might also be in advance of the Summer Olympics in 2020.

Enjoy but do me a big favour
can you come back when you return and let us all know if you can still buy girls used underwear in vending machines in the street or if it's bullshit
cheers

can't you just buy the food to eat later wherever you're staying at?

I live in Japan so I might as well answer to keep you from waiting. Yes and no it's rare to find these vending things around random places but there are some places you can get them. I personally never had bought one and probably never will (not my thing) but if you look into it you can probably find a machine in akhiabara Orleans in shinjuku

That was made illegal shortly after it started. You can only find those machines in adult video/book stores.

Yea of course

Japan sounds like a wonderful place

***Akihabara or shinjuku

Get a pocket wifi and use google maps, directions can be real confusing.

You can drink booze on the streets, much cheaper than the bars! (but yea do it next to a vending machine so you don't get weird looks)

Don't tip, for anything!

If in Tokyo, go here for gaijin friendly escorts: hentaitokyo.com/

And here for live music: tokyogigguide.com

In Tokyo you don't have to know how to say anything but "thank you"

Always use stairs, fucking elevators are a free suicide cabin in jap.

On the topic of booze, don't underestimate the alcohol here. Especially chu-hi I've see people get hammered on just 2 chu-hi's also experiment and when doing so take one drink and wait a bit to see how it effects you bc here they really don't tell you or list how much alcohol are I drinks aside from store bought ones

Not really they're just somewhat small

Why would you go to an escort that you're not allowed to have sex with? Just oral I guess?

You can do plenty, just take your pick from the menu on this kiosk

Fuck I miss japan

May I ask where this is in Japan?

Tokyo Hentai club in shibuya, I posted the link above. I think they have one in shinjuku now too

If you need to ask someone for directions or something like that and they don't understand english, just repeat the question a lot louder.

If you purchase a soda or a can of beer from a vending machine you will be carrying it until you get back to your hotel. Trash cans are hard to find.

Try your best to learn the train system as quickly as possible. You may need to go from a subway to a train to a subway to get someplace

The cat cafes smell terrible and are like visiting a crazy persons house

There are Baskin Robins everywhere. Japanese gals like ice cream.

Go to Akhiabara - Electric City. 8 story video game arcades are awesome

By a mini backpack now. You’ll be glad you did. Not an American size one.

Tokyo is awesome. You can drink a beer on the street that you buy from a vending machine.

Don’t bring any drugs

Why a mini backpack instead of a regular one?

I'd read about that and always wondered if it was real.
kek saved me a trip

Fuck that get a messenger bag

remember to bow deep (about 45 degrees or more) to everyone you talk to, even store clerks. it's extremely rude not to do so.
