Public health department for a large city- was in training all day, then had to go to a town hall meeting earlier in the evening to give out info regarding the upcoming mosquito season- west nile virus and all that fun stuff. The citizen audience can vary- sometimes you get a firing squad, other times it's a large quantity of questions. Thankfully this one was just quantity vs. the firing squad telling you how to do your job, haha.

Yeah, it does. One of the reasons why I've been at it for so long is that there's always something interesting going on. It certainly wasn't dull when I worked in the field, but being a desk jockey lets me see the higher level interesting stuff too.

True, fast food is the dregs. Retail isn't much better. At least if you get night shift or graveyard, things are relatively quiet.
Same, season 2 went into anime-only territory and went full harem while all of the nice IS units and potential plot elements got put on the backburner. The more recent LN volumes are going back to the story, but it's rather late for that. There's also an ongoing manga, though it barely passed the end of season 1 which is where all the other ones ended.

I did fast food, then a stint in a restaurant kitchen before going more into my field. I'd do it again if I had to, but looking back on it, it definitely helps you appreciate it when you finally land a good gig- NEVER AGAIN (unless you just gotta).
