Any medfags? I think I'm about to die

Any medfags? I think I'm about to die
I can feel my pulse everywhere, it pulses really hard in my neck, stomach, I can even hear it in my ears sometimes, not necessarily fast (70-90 bpm) but really strong

Sometimes it goes away. Sometimes it doesn't, Im missing sleep because of it, and too poor to get medical attention and too much of a retard to wait 8 hours in the E.R.

Help please

It's aids

anxiety my nig nog

Probably just high blood pressure. I had the same thing. Doctor gave me some pills. I stopped drinking as much, got back to exercising and eating better. BP is back to normal levels.

call an ambulance... the emts will check you out en route

test your blood pressure at one of those blood pressure cuffs they have at the pharmacy.

Double dubs checked don't be concerned there are plenty of people up in the cemetery who would love to have a heart like that

You probably have a bad heart. Swap it out with a known good heart and see if the problem follows the heart. If it does, then it's the heart. If it doesn't, swap out each organ until you find the faulty one, then replace that.

I'm not stressed or anxious. Or at least not anymore than normal.

I did I have a cuff that my aunt used. 110/60 so I'm good there.
I'm a smoker tho but I'm 28 so maybe its not that but I dunno.

When I went they told me Id have to wait because it wasn't something seirous. That I was too young to be having serious issues with my symptoms and. Id had to wait like 8 hours so fuck that shit Id rather die.

Can caffeine cause this shit? IM LOSING MY MIND, some of my family has high BP but I dont or at least not yet, I took a beta blocker and it didn't stop, it actually was worse, my heart started going slower but harder.

bump

...

>I'm not stressed or anxious. Or at least not anymore than normal.
and yet you have all the symptoms of a classic anxiety attack. go figure!

try hyperventilating until you see sparkles around the edges of your vision, then have a really cold shower and get back to us.

yes caffeine can 100%

One day my nig. It will be that easy

I'm actually really looking for help I don't need to lie that would be a detriment to fix this. I used to have some anxiety issues and my heart would race and would have the common stomach feelings, but that doesn't happen anymore, I'm pretty relaxed, except for this shit. My heart just pounds, I'm not anxious, it beats super hard, but at normal speeds. I can see in the sides of my neck the movements from the beats without pressing or anything, its pretty easy to see.

But why now all of the sudden? I don't think this is something that can appear out of nowhere because of a cup of tea, but what do I know.

Eat a xanax and stop doing so much meth.

bump

how about you go on reddit doctor subreddit or whatever doctor sub and ask for help

you're retarded thinking Sup Forums will give you info you need

I didnt even notice that was in a church until the gif repeated lmfao

>I took a beta blocker
Don't take medication that isn't yours idiot. You could fucking die, a doctor prescribes specific medications with a little more knowledge than webMD gives you.

That being said it could be a hypersensitivity to caffeine causing hypertension, because that's what it sounds like.
>any more stressed than normal
What is normal, user?

I'm a medic not a doctor, though, however I may be able to provide a different insight than a jaded ass cardiologist because honestly they don't give a fuck, generally speaking.

yep anxiety/panic disorder. take a few shots of liquor and go to bed user. if it persists get a benzo prescription.

We know it's not life threatening cause you'd be dead by now, but I would still go to the ER if you got decent insurance. This is what you have insurance for. Peace of mind.

Id rather die than go to leddit

>Don't take medication that isn't yours idiot. You could fucking die, a doctor prescribes specific medications with a little more knowledge than webMD gives you.

I know, but I'm not the smartest man out there, I checked online before taking them and I came to the conclussion that it was safe.

>What is normal, user?

Idk, 2 years ago I was super anxious, never had a panic attack but I had some trouble sleeping because of work and college. But I'm pretty relaxed now, I mean, I'm much better than before so thats not it.

Some other stats
28
smoker
sedentary
BMI: 22 so definetely not fat
bloodwork from a year ago was all normal, glucose, lipids, etc., except red blood cell count that was barely low (he told me didn't even need to change diet or medication because it was really close to normal and it could be thalassemia because of shitty genes, but I don't think thats it)

Ill answer whatever the fuck

Have you been drinking a lot of alcohol recently? Or quit using drugs or medicines?

Actually alcohol makes it worse, even 1 beer exacerbates the symptoms. A few beers and I can ignore them. I'm not a heavy drinker tho.

> if you got decent insurance

I don't have insurance.

Do you drink a lot? This sounds like what I had when I detoxed off alcohol.

Nope, rarely. I used to drink a beer after eating sometimes but I stopped now because it worsens the symptoms

well it sounds like high blood pressure or anxiety to me and everyone else. If you aren't willing to go to the doctors then at least lead a healthier life style until you can afford it. I just got a gym membership for 15 bucks a month.

Anxiety.

>t. Anxiety Sufferer

>I came to the conclussion that it was safe.
Beta blockers prevent your heart from beating too fast and cause vasodilation, in laments terms they can cause your blood vessels to dilate too much and drop your blood pressure too much and make you pass out and possibly die, very bad situation to be in.

>I'm not much better
Relax user, remember that life is a fucking game, I see so much death it reminds me to live in the moment and enjoy what I have.
>sedantary
Go for a bike ride, it's actually pretty cool. Wear a fucking helmet.
You are probably having a sympathetic nervous response aggrivated by a hypersensitivity to caffeine, how much caffeine do you generally drink in a day?
Consider halfing that amount and working on not worrying so much about trivial things and letting yourself get caught up in good things like women (or men lol) and remembering to live in the present, don't waste your life struggling for the future when the future is no guarantee, or you finally make it and you're old.
Don't go max out your credit cards, but consider changing things that stress you out, just focus your stress on getting rid of stress, (if that makes any sense), and it can start to help you reduce it.
However, go to an urgent care clinic when you feel this way if it happens again, also if you call 911, and have the medics check you out, you can ALWAYS refuse transport, sign a form and they leave, and don't charge you usually, and you can get somewhat of a diagnosis.

My heart beats at normal rythms and I'm not stressed or anxious. My bp across the day is 110/60 average.

My heart used to race like that when I wasn't doing anything as well, had symptoms similar to yours. Had to have a pacemaker put in to regulate it. Took about 8 months and a shitload of tests before they figured it out.

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. That measurement was taken at the peak of a panic attack. Usually I sit between 80/90.

You're fine OP, if you were having a heart attack you're complaints would be different and you wouldn't still be replying.

Stop trying to diagnose yourself. You're making it worse, control your breathing and try some meditation. If you dont want shit like this to happen again stop eating salt and sugar and caffeine. And stop smoking. I'm a smoker too and take it from me it just keeps getting more unenjoyable as you get sicker.

Do you have convenience stores around that sell shit like "Sleepwalker" shots (little bottle like a 5hour energy). Or "Hemp Bombs" gummies or pills. That stuff has phenibut in it, I've taken stuff like that since I quit drinking and its helped with anxiety a lot.

You can try tea with valerian in it (Sleepytime Extra, found in most grocery stores).

If you lay off anything tomorrow but water and maybe some grapes, apples, carrots... something easy you can eat raw, it'll help your blood pressure a lot. But you're fine stop trying to self diagnose, it'll only make it worse, and stay the fuck away from beta blockers unless your doctor tells you to take them.

>too poor for medical care

In the laaaaand of the freeeeeeeeee...

As somebody who has a fucked heart (hypertension, atrial flutter and dilated cardiomyopathy, aka heart failure), what you've described sounds like high blood pressure to me. If it comes then goes it's no drama. If you keep getting it further issues can occur.

>Beta blockers prevent your heart from beating too fast and cause vasodilation, in laments terms they can cause your blood vessels to dilate too much and drop your blood pressure too much and make you pass out and possibly die, very bad situation to be in.

Every pill has a side effect that may cause you to die or some shit like that. Beta blockers wouldn't kill anyone healthy and young. I didn't take it without reading first. Beta blockers prevent the binding of adrenaline that makes you pump blood faster/harder and some other stuff, that doens't mean that your heart can't beat to make you live without adrenaline. I had an ECG 2 years ago, no problems, blood work is fine too.

>how much caffeine do you generally drink in a day?

Maybe 4 cups of tea, not that much in comparison to people who drink so much coffee and sugary drinks, I drink water/tea only. Im gonna cut it down and see whats up.

>Consider halfing that amount and working on not worrying so much about trivial things and letting yourself get caught up in good things like women (or men lol) and remembering to live in the present, don't waste your life struggling for the future when the future is no guarantee, or you finally make it and you're old.

I had those issues 2 years ago and I got over them, I'm actually enjoying life and don't get caught too much thinking about this, it comes mostly at night when I'm relaxed, specially after eating, I lost sleep a few times already. Its impossible to ignore if I'm not super tired.

And do I need to state this again? IM NOT STRESSED, this is the only thing stressing me. My heart rate and BP are normal which would rise if I was anxious.

>also if you call 911, and have the medics check you out, you can ALWAYS refuse transport,

Uhh I didn't know this but seems like an asshole move, might try it if I get too desperate.

Thanks for the words user I'm just lazy after work and don't feel like exercising, but I'm still at a healthy weight at least

This is morgellons disease and is very serious.

>Every pill has a side effect that may cause you to die or some shit like that. Beta blockers wouldn't kill anyone healthy and young.

Okay user, what do I know, I only deal with shit like this daily.

Tried breathing exercises when I was anxious (2 years ago, they actually helped, but this is different. I'm not stressed. I don't eat sugar and actually eat healthy shit. Smoking yeah I give you that.

I'm not anxious.
My blood pressure is normal, my heart rate is normal.

feelsbadman

How old were you when you started getting those issues? My BP is fine at least for now.

Okay I feel like a dick now,

I guess I didn't stress the seriousness of this.

Your blood pressure is low, 110/60, not dangerously low, but close to a contraindication of the prescription of any beta blocker.
You could literally fucking die without medical intervention if you take a beta blocker and go to sleep.

Fuck you.

No. Just lazy.

Cmon, the odds of dying from that are lower than ibuprofen/aspirine probably. I took 20mg of propranolol with a clean bloodwork and EKG.

...

those are normal values for young and healthy people
blood pressure is not a statistic that you can take from a book and apply to a general population like that

Right, and beta blockers are not a medication you can read from the internet and take safely.

No cardiologist is going to prescribe a beta blocker to a young person with a blood pressure close to 100 systolic without a vasoconstrictor or something to raise the blood pressure due to the risk of going into shock as well as other random ass complications that can come from taking something like that.
Beta blockers generally take a few days to really start working, but regardless don't fucking take medication that isn't prescribed to you, unless it's a fun pill or something that isn't going to completely fuck you, real pharmaceuticals can really reck your shit user.

You dont have to be stressed out about anything specific to have an anxiety attack. You can have no worries at all and it can still hit you suddenly.

My sis is an RN, I just asked her and she said 9 times out of 10 people that come in with those symptoms are just having a panic attack, get some ativan and get sent home. Of course you'll get the full work up if you go in... and you can go without insurance.

I had similar things happening, had quit drinking a lot and kept thinking I was having little heart attacks, was gonna have a stroke, was convinced my liver was totally failed, she said the same thing to me but I couldnt stop worrying about it. Finally did go to the ER, stayed for about a day for them to put me in a CT and look at all my liver/kidney enzymes and shit.

All in all I got some ativan and some iv electrolytes and was told it was just anxiety and dehydration. I have a bill for $8,000 for all the trouble, but didn't matter, I had to go before I could convince myself I was ok.

My advice is to chill, and see how you feel in the morning.

The fact that you are so worried about it and “losing your mind” is a classic symptom of an anxiety attack.

I know, only took it to see it the symptoms subsided. Healthy and young musicians and archers take beta blockers to deal with shaky hands, they don't have any issues. And I only took 20mg once so I know I'm safe.

>my heart is pounding
>my blood pressure is normal
pick one. if your bp is really normal then chances are youre just too focused on your own heartbeat and its making you think its pounding when its not. basically its anxiety

Idk, but asking about this on the porn/Facebook stalker board was your first correct move. Someone here will know what it is without a doubt, especially with such clear and non vague issues.

medfag reporting in, let's get some vitals

saw you have 110/60, seems a little generous but ok, would like you to retake if poss.
Need your height & weight.
When you say you can feel your pulse in your stomach do you mean like deep in your belly or still on the surface?

This. Your blood pressure is at least going to be slightly elevated if your heart is actually pounding.

OP you're facing a panic attack.

Your subconcience made your kidneys send adrenaline which cause high blood pressure, high heart rate and fast breath.
Adrenaline fades within 20-30 mins, tho your triggered fear repeats this progress.

You feel like dying since you entered the so called panic-loop (Google that shit).

Try making good use of the flight mode your body is in and do jumping jacks or run (even tho you feel like going in a fatal position).

Welcome to anxiety-faggotry, this is your bodies inevitable way of saying something in your mental life goes wrong and you need to over think your life... some headache or sore stomach isn't enough for some ppl to realise they're not feeling too happy with themselves...

You are now in survival mode, it will fades, 100% serious.

You're not alone !!!

I really just think that you should invest in a visit to a doctor.
Even see the EMTs, shit a lot of them are super cool and will do a 12 lead on you while you're having symptoms and tell you if its life threatening or not, they're going to tell you to go to the hospital but you can always refuse

Don't know if you're projecting or what but seriously I had anxiety attacks (never panic attacks tho) and it wasn't anything like this. My heart rate is normal, as low as 60-70, my head is clear, I can think and focus. I'm not anxious. Frustrated will be a better word.

I took my BP several times when this happens, it didn't go up.

It something that has been happening for the last month so I may have to bite the bullet and go to the ER.

No it isn't. My heart rate is normal and so is my BP. An anxiety attack would make those two go up and make me feel like shit which isn't happening.

No it isn't. When its happening my neck (where the carotids are) bulges and is in sync with my heartbeats. I can see it on my arm where they take blood (well, that part moves, I know its a vein but the arteries below that). I can also tell because it doesn't let me sleep and not because I'm focusing on it, its just there, I can hear it. etc.

Its not anxiety.
You fucking anxious fucks my heart rate and BP are normal its not anxiety

followup questions now that i've read through the thread -

when you take your bp what was your resting pulse?
it seems like you experience these symptoms often? Are there any situations you find yourself experiencing them more often? Are they like triggered or do you just find yourself randomly going through them.

Do you smoke weed, and are you currently high at all?

How is your caffeine intake?

Do you use any other kind of stimulants?

Are you currently taking any kinds of medications/multivitamins?

6ft, 171 pounds
In the general area of the stomach, if Im lying down specially, but I can feel the beats in my neck in sync with my heart. And some weird feeling in my throat, not pain, I can't really describe it. Its in my neck alright.

110/60 is the average
I did 3 takes several times, 1 at morning, 1 afternoon 1 before sleeping
105-115/55-60 or something like that, so I said 110/60.

Heart rate varies, from 70-90, depends
I'm gonna take it right now and tell you tho

BP is normal

Sounds like dehydration and low iron. But be safe and hit up nurse on call.

Just measured after emptying my bladder, staying 2 minutes still, having my arm at heart level and all that bullshit

first sound 117/58 last sound
heart rate: 75

>it seems like you experience these symptoms often?

started a month ago maybe

>Are they like triggered or do you just find yourself randomly going through them

completely random but they get stronger at night, like after eating or when im working if Im in a hurry and doing shit fast

>Do you smoke weed, and are you currently high at all?

>Do you use any other kind of stimulants?

No, none.

>How is your caffeine intake?

4 cups of tea a day max

>Are you currently taking any kinds of medications/multivitamins?

None

ok, so definitely healthy weight, 23.2 bmi, between that and age you're not likely for any kind of serious heart issues rn. However, I'd talk to your parents about any kind of cardiac issues in your family history to rule it out for sure.

Being young and healthy weight means that 110/60 is a very normal blood pressure, it's not low like a few people are saying.

70-90 heartrate is normal as well, though I'd be more interested in taking it when you feel these symptoms most strongly.

Beats in sync with heart make sense.

Still interested in whether these are chronic (constant) symptoms or if not how frequently they occur, and what brought on the symptoms.

Don't want to prematurely diagnose, but sounds like more of a bounding pulse -
healthline.com/health/bounding-pulse#when-to-see-a-doctor

Not necessarily a panic attack, I know i've felt this way when i was getting sick with a regular cold and also when I was hungover.
Wish I could palpatate your thyroid to check for that, but you might have to just pay a visit to a family doctor. Seems like a non-urgent issue though, as long as you're fine dealing with these little episodes I'd wait until you have insurance and can do something about it first.

You came to Sup Forums asking for advice/opinions on what your problem is. Nobody here is a psychic fucking doctor.

Dont bother calling an ambulance, EMT's cant diagnose you, just tell you that you are not having a heart attack... and you'll still need to go in and have tests done.

So avoid the ambulance costs, and just drive yourself to the ER.

Anxiety. Anxiety. Anxiety.

Not chronic, never there when I wake up for example, at least 4 hours after waking up they're definitely not there, they get strong after eating at night, sometimes random during the day they may show up and last 2 hours, sometimes 4 hours.

Not a panic attack, I had anxiety attacks but last one was 2 years ago, heart rate is normal, bp normal so why would it be anxiety? My head is clear and not freaking out or anything, I'm just frustrated about this shit.

About anxiety, I had anxiety because of my old job, I gtfo out of there and switched, nothing like before. I'm actually pretty relaxed now and have a great work environment so stress levels are low. No deadlines, no bullshit.

My grandmother from my mother side died from a heart attack at like 45. No one had diabetes or elevated BP or anything like that, just thalassemia, the milder one that doesn't really cause an issue (according to my Dr. at least)

kek

Yep I read about bounding pulse but it said not to worry if it dissapeared which didn't happen.
Thanks for your help tho.

>get stronger at night, after eating, or when I'm working if I'm in a hurry and doing shit fast.
>never in the morning

Despite you reducing your stress the fact that they're not there in the morning (when you're probably most relaxed) definitely points to them being stress induced.
However since you find them consistently after eating maybe your diet is affecting your thyroid? What kind of foods do you eat? Maybe try going on a thyroid diet and see if that affects it.
health.com/health/gallery/0,,20986201,00.html#best-brazil-nuts-0

also this is about all I got for ya. gl bud

Alright man thanks, yeah everyone is telling me its stress, it isn't thought, the symptoms just aren't there in the morning and a few hours after that.

Idk I eat healthy, chicken, beef, fish, veggies, cereals, milk, cheese, yogurt, fruit, etc. I avoid sugar and only drink water and tea. Normal amounts in meals, varied throughout the day, maybe at night I eat more than necessary but thats it.
