So what was Sup Forums like when Bowie died?

so what was Sup Forums like when Bowie died?

Someone posted a screenshot of the facebook announcement late at night on the 10th and at first we thought it was fake or a hack.

it was only a couple of years ago christ

can't really tell ya, only old fags remember what happened. It happened on the same day CLT died

>Bowie has been dead now for 3 and a half years
Where does the time go?

Thanks for breaking it gently, callous prick.

All of the countless threads trashing Blackstar stopped and threads saying it was a masterpiece suddenly started appearing.

>2015 was 7.9 years ago

not true at all blackstar was well received before he died, the singles got acclaim and they were released in november 2 months before

no, everyone compared the two singles unfavorably to scott walker

The opposite actually, there was almost nothing but praise, only seen people here hating the album after he died, saying people only like it because he died when that’s not the case. Reviewers got the album months in advance too.

I tried clicking on the response to that comment...

>the countless threads trashing Blackstar
Were we on the same board?

Blackstar was loved by Sup Forums before his death, most big releases get a ton of hate here and this album didn't have a lot

But everyone loved Bowie all of a sudden, he'd be mentioned in every thread and was in every chart. His death made him Sup Forumscore

He was Sup Forumscore even before his death

This He was common in the "deaths that will hit you" threads for years
