Bernie would have tried to kamakazi his campaign. Also factor in safety of trump and mass riots by Bernie Supporters it wouldnt have been worth it.
Nolan Cook
It would have only helped Hillary in every way.
Sebastian Clark
its a mistake i feel too, it would have been massive and put him closer to bernouts
Elijah Kelly
Communists will never learn. Thats why the voting age NEEDS to go to 25 to stop this degeneracy
Dominic Cruz
>Bernie would have tried to kamakazi his campaign.
This. He even admitted so in an interview with the Young Roaches.
Also debates need to be agreed before between the two parties. The DNC wasn't on board so it all went to nothing. If Trump tried to do it anyway Hillary might have asked not to debate later in the race.
Camden Torres
what happened?
Tyler Ross
wait explain it please
Oliver Clark
Bernie's a shit debater and would've lost but in the end it just creates more division between Bernie supporters and Trump supporters as you would see them as direct rivals rather than Trump as an alternative to Crooked Hillary.
What would've been better is if Trump said he'd debate Bernie, but only if Hillary came for a 3-man debate. That way all the Democrats would be split between the two liberals, and Trump would stand out for his views. Also if Hillary didn't agree to it, she would be seen as the coward and Trump would've gotten off scot-free.
Bentley Gomez
>trump >mistake
For fuck's sake, you people never give up do you? Will you be chanting for Bernie eight years from now?
And because it wasn't a good deal, Trump got to walk away from it and highlight his veteran fundraising by pointing out that nobody else wanted to help raise money for women.
He and his team are impressively shrewd.
Aiden Campbell
The Bernouts cried about it on Twitter so it seemed like a big negative, but this really highlights how naive it was to believe this debate would change their minds. I know a Bernout on Facebook who cosplays as Bernie and posts Drumpf messages all day, as if Trump would reach out to him by directly debating Bernie. Only way it would've worked is if it was some sit down interview, softball questions, but Bernie is far more against Trump than Hillary and is an old faggot.
Nolan Rodriguez
>Veteran fundraising
But he didn't start giving out the money until 4 months later when the media started questioning him on it.
And one of the groups he gave money to was an F rated charity.
David Miller
Yeah, would have had to have been very highly moderated and basically a friendly chat about easy topics. Obviously it's a fantasy that a lot of people like, but it just wasn't happening.
Benjamin Reed
No, you idiot. Trump would have had to attack Bernie and socialism. Bernies people would have gotten buttfuckingmad and never voted for Trump after that. Debating Bernie would have been stupid as fuck. He made the correct choice in entertaining the thought and then "backing out", doing this he made Bernie look strong and he made Berniefags feel good about themselves. When they're later thinking about it, they will unconsciously link that good feeling with Trump, compared to pissing them off, It's a master-level manipulation move.
Dominic Scott
The money was merely pledged, and I don't give a shit about charity ratings. I give money to things that aren't even charities because they're better than official tax-cheat operations. Find something better to complain about.
What's your rating for the Clinton Foundation?
Austin Garcia
Brave Sir Donald ran away Bravely ran away away When Bernie reared his great white head Trump bravely turned his tail and fled Yes, brave Sir Donald turned about And gallantly he chickened out Bravely taking to his feet He beat a very brave retreat Bravest of the brave, Sir Donald!
Anthony Roberts
I don't think a debate would have benefited Trump, but it looked week when Trump publicly proposed the debate on television and then backed away from it right after. He should have said no from the start.
Adrian Lewis
I disagree, trump has nothing to gain and a lot to lose from debating him. Even if he did well in the debate he would be legitimizing a guy in 2nd place for his own parties nomination. It's like a scientist debating a creationist, it implies the creationist has something valid to offer. Besides according to polls Bernie is a bigger threat than Hilary. We want those college bern victims to stay home in November
Ian Howard
Don has the highground. He called the shots.
Ryan Ortiz
An unsanctioned Sanders/trump debate would have excluded them both from future sanctioned debates. Ie Clinton would have been in the clear.
Chase Thomas
Oh so all that Trump did was play by the rules?
What a PC maverick!
Kayden Williams
The rating does matter. The charity has an F rating because it doesn't donate most of its money to veterans, but rather pisses donations away on salaries and events. They also harass donors.
Juan Powell
Which one is it? I'll be sure to not donate.
Camden Long
Old news, no one cares anymore.
Jose Rodriguez
Foundation for American Veterans
They're fraudsters.
Daniel Bennett
The Clintons are Fucked!
Daniel Butler
>Businessmen pledge money to Trump >Goes through accounting department >Goes through probably tax lawyers to make them deductible if possible. >Takes a long time to process
Trump is a world class businessman for not even mentioning or blaming them or the process and was silent about it.
Cameron King
Thanks. You should have just said that up front in order to forestall people making decisions in the future that you disagree with.
I give away 10% of my post-tax income every year, so I value input about where and where not to spend it. I only wish I had a million bux to just give away on a whim.
Logan Jones
Trump himself said the 4 month delay was because they were being vetted, not because of any tax issues. But they were not vetted well.
Joshua Reyes
How much was sent to Foundation for American Veterans, by the way? There will surely be additional mistakes along the way, so let's try to get an idea of how big they might be.
Gabriel Moore
Ran away from what? the arena that didnt exist on the day that wasn't chose, and the network that wasnt' broadcasting it. To avoid questions about a topic never picked ask by moderators that weren't there.
Jaxson Parker
This.. Why would he want to GIVE hillary the nomination if there was any chance that bernie would take it.. Why do you think he has been propping up bernie in his campaign speeches saying that bernie is right on trade but can't do anything about it.. and bernie keeps winning and crooked hillary keeps getting the delegates etc.
He wants bernie to get the nomination over hillary, that's clearly why he changed his mind about debating bernie because he might have destroyed him and then what.. He doesn't want hillary to get the nomination if he could at all help it because he doesn't want to even remotely give her a chance to become president..
Josiah Gray
youtube.com/watch?v=g__NPFmz1Z0 trump calling out reporter that asks him about the vetting.. and a veteran sets the reporter straight immediately after.
Ryan Johnson
>Ran away from what?
Trump: "Lord Sanders, let's debate" Bernie: "Sure, Donnie Boy." Trump: "Oh, I...uh, I can't, uh...see, it's against the rules!" World: "lmao"
Adam Morgan
i wouldnt want to debate a literal LOSER xD
Asher Rivera
>in talks with sanders campaign about debate. >decide not to. >running away. Heres you $0.02
Benjamin Russell
Yeah, that dude stole the show. Props to Trump for giving him the Trump Stage to speak his mind.
We don't all get that kind of microphone.
Cooper Gomez
>i wouldnt want to debate a literal LOSER xD
I wouldn't either, but thankfully Sanders isn't as judgemental and shallow as we are.
Easton Ward
only a fucking idiot can't understand why he didn't do it
