i liked rdj in it

Best scene was Rodney Dangerfield in the sitcom parody.

Other than that, the rest of it is pretty meh.

holy shit that was creepy.
this.

I tried to watch it because the plot sounds really neat, but after that way too shitty opening scene I just dropped it

Does it get any better, should I give it another try?

the 90's man, bad times

meh. if you didnt like it to begin with youd probably wouldnt enjoy the rest.

Fair enough, cheers

yeah I watched it last year after reading about how it inspired school shootings. I love Rodney, but holy shit was it a piece of garbage. Oliver Stone is a faggot.

plebs

It's a satire you fools

The problem is it turned out to be entirely too prophetic.

Thing about "prophetic" stuff is that it sometimes it doesn't inform the person listening that the prophecy's gonna happen, it causes the person himself make it happen.

tl;dr I'm kind of believing the whole "this film made mass shootings happen"

I don't mean prophetic in the sense that it created mass shootings. Those predate the movie.

More about the demand for instant gratification, glorification of violence, inflated sense of self importance, freedom from consequences, celebrity worship, and the information age zeitgeist.

Its easy to dismiss it now because all the things are now commonplace in the millenial generation. Its like robocop predicting the 90s in the 80s.

it came out in the mid 90's, it's not like it's prophetic in any way

Dropping a film after the first 5 minutes
You are the cancer killing this board

I also dropped your post after the first 5 words.

Who needs reasons when you got heroin?

it has an interesting soundtrack

Yep.

Imagine if Quentin actually got to direct it.

Would it have been better or worse? Remember this was 1994.

It's a schizophrenic movie unlike any other. There are some good parts and some shit parts but I'd say it's worth watching. Not sure if I've ever made it to the ending, though.

Worse
Tarantino steals scenes from good movies and then somehow makes them worse
He lacks a directorial identity of his own

I think he meant that it predicted 2000s and onwards.

I haven't seen it in atleast 10 years but I remember loving it. All parts of it, except for maybe the indian spirit journey stuff.

Better. I fucking hated a lot of how NBK was shot, and I don't think Tarantino would have gone that route.

Well back in like 1994 when i saw it in a movie theatre it was brutal. Listened to Cranberries Zombie on the radio if my memory serves me right and shot an älg, a 450 kg älg back then.

More meat than we could eat before it spoiled so we gave most of it it away.

Älg i think means moose in english.

1994 was a strange year.

Total waste of time

>having friends

RIP in peace

my point was that it didn't

>forced

Did he rape you too? You sat through it so you liked it somewhat so why are we having this thread?

It's funny Juliette Louis goes from What's Eating Gilbert Grape to this.

This movie is amazing how can so many of you think its shit

STOP LIKING THINGS OR I'LL KILL YOU

#relationshipgoals

Actors take weird steps in their careers all the time.
Jim Carrey tried to take a "serious" step and pretty much nuked his career.
Mike Myers did The Love Guru which pretty much did the same thing.
Shit happens.

OP here.
It just seems like every teenage PMSing emo girl's wet dream.

They were raised in a family of democrats.

I thought the prison breakout scene was cool. The whole movie itself felt like tongue-in-cheek satire about something.

23 or whatever? Last Jim Carrey movie I watched and liked was Yes Man so I have no idea if it kept acting.

This. But also, it was something else almost no one saw it for.

It was a love story. Nothing could keep them apart.

Well I wouldn't say that.

That hostage girl seems to have ruffled Mallory's vagina.

>5 is the 7th word
>didn't read past the 5th word

'k

It would have had a 10 minute montage of Mallory's feet putting out that cigarette.

DUDE OVER THE TOP SATIRE OF MEDIA VIOLENCE

DUDE TRIVIALIZE ANYTHING IN A SENTENCE
