Unironically one of Bale's best performances too. It's just a shame any discussion of the film is drowned out by dubsposting

...

...

The real shame is your lack of repetitious digits.

This is how you do it....

...

You are like a baby
here is a real man's digits

George C. Scott is an incredible actor

DUDE MEMES LMAO

Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver to me is probably one of the most powerful performances I have ever seen.

...

Fuck off, failed digits posts are so embarrassing

Even if you didnt like the movie his performance is god tier. That first interview scene on the boat is incredible.

I agree Joaquin Phoenix is a god tier actor when he is really trying. My personal favorite for him is his performance in Her

It's a shame Carruthers got dubs and you didn't.

...

ah shit he's got the rain to make him look cooler

Kek wills it

"AM I NOT MERCIFUL?!"

Gary Oldman in... well, everything.

>Gary Oldman
Are you retarded?

Ya he seriously is in so many great movies.
He was great in the village too. Even if you didnt like the movie his performance was still great.

...

Wanna know how I got these dubs?

>wanna know why i give my jpgs names?
Cause youre a faggot visiting from reddit?

Fuck off, reddit.

When will the academy recognize this masterful performance?

Like all great artists, post mortem.

Amazing performance for real, throughout the whole movie. I love the scenes where he assaults people, its so real and raw compared to other movies that rely on tricks to convey the action. In this, he really pummels them.

...

The Master had the most realistic fight scenes of 2012.

...

did someone say dubs?

You suck nigga

...

...

...

I hoped in this thread just to post this and you did it for me, glad to see someone else knows great acting when they see it

>glad to see someone else knows great acting when they see it
Calm down dick rider no one is disagreeing

One of the all time greats

Dick rider awayyyyyy

fpbp

...

I don't even know the actor's name but Bibble, man.
Fucking Sio Bibble.

If they made a 'Sio Bibble: A Star Wars Story' I would see it day one.

haha

...

...

He's literally one of us and plays it perfectly

;_;

no

I feel SNY has a new dimension given what happened to him.

Not that I'm saying it's a good thing at all.

I get that too.

I can't watch the Kevin Finnerty briefcase scene from Sopranos with dry eyes anymore either.

>god tier
Daniel Day Lewis
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Joaquin Phoenix

All others tainted their careers with meme performances, despite there being plenty of actors out their with mostly god tier roles in their respective filmographies

...

forgot to add michael fassbender although he will prob be off this list with the upcoming Sup Forumsirgin movie

True, unfortunately. Examples of great actors with tainted careers:

DeNiro
Pacino
Nicholson
Hoffman
Woods
Spacey
Cusack
Giamotti
Buscemi

>Buscemi

We're classing him as a great?

yeah

Well, ok, I went overboard. Strike him from list.

Peter Stormare is a pretty great actor.

>michael fassbender
Are you joking?

He's surely just an actor who's improved from being shit at the start.

Add:
Oldman
Hopkins
Bale
Downey
Pitt
Hardy

Other than killing people, he is basically just playing himself. He was born for that role.

...

Pitt is excellent and is not tainted in my eyes.

...

too handsome for the toothfairy

...

...

He's better than great, he's amazing.
He makes every movie he's in better.

I don't see any dubs that need checking.

Brie Larson in Room
Heath Ledger as The Joker
Phillip Seymour Hoffman in most of his movies
Tom Hanks in Castaway
Jamie Foxx in Ray
Will Smith in Ali (He was robbed that year)
Javier Bareem as that psychopath

Check my 7

Not sure why people think he's so great in that role.

It was a solid performance, but GOAT???

Legit Shakespearean tier.

Being handsome is the point, he's a good looking dude who thought he was fucking hideous because of his hairlip

pure sandler kino

...

Only saw Manhunter desu

Is this really that good or is it just a meme?
I watched Reign Over Me thinking Sandler did a good job of a serious role rather than comedic.

it's a little overrated but definitely worth a watch

DeNiro in raging bull
Brando in last tango in Paris

Unironically one of the best comedic performances I've ever seen.

I thought Tom Noonan was a better Dolarhyde and he did it with a lot less screentime and backstory.

But I've never read the book so my opinion isn't really colored by which version is more accurate.

...

thats exactly what i was talking about with my friends today
damn

...

Best actors of all time in my humblest opinion:

1. James Dean
2. PSH
3. Sean Penn
4. Al Pacino
5. Paul Newman

No, he's playing Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise would've been perfect in American Psycho.

...

Jesus Christ Op, are you serious? Spacey is such a fucking ham

This for me too, and his chemistry with Hoffman was great.

He was brilliant in Inherent Vice too, pta's most underrated film along with Hard Eight

That's why Sup Forums sucks, no a single mention for Brando for his performance On the Waterfront, or Emily Watson in Breaking the Waves (1996)

Isn't that the same airport they filmed True Detective S2?
