Doing any kind of cognitive defensive work in response to an accusation of racism is a losing strategy. While not reacting to intentionally misleading statements is one correct way to handle it, I find probing the accusor of how they believe he is racist to be a more effective way of shutting them down. Once any and all info they present (factual or otherwise has been disproven), ask who they are supporting instead. If it's Hillary, just bring up Robert Byrd (her "role model" in her own words), her "Super predators" comments, and her lack of denouncing the endorsement of Will Quigg, and their $20k contribution. >B-but it's all a joke, he didn't mean it!
