Elon Musk recently announced the "age of Artificial Intelligence" and that tremendous breakthroughs in AI are about to change society. This is coming soon. Expect something major before 2025.
>B...b...ut we'll have all universal income, live for free and the bots will do all the jobs while we read Joyce and paint beautiful paintings! we will live to be 1000 years old forever beautiful and happy without diseases yay!
No.
Here is what is going to happen. The rich are going to get exceptionally richer and the poor are going to die. The middle class will mostly vanish and become the new poor class. With robotics and AI controlling everything, the rich will become unassailable, unopposable. Anyone who falls from grace will be joing those left alive in warehousing districts patroled by an automated sentry system where if anyone tries to escape, they are simply eliminated. This is our bold new future. There will be no government welfare, free education, and opportunity for everyone. The people who have a stake in the way things are now are only going to entrench their power, not surrender it. Those suckers who believe any different haven't been paying attention.
>Got divorced twice >Same woman both times The guy may be an okay businessman, but I think that's more down to the fact that he's able to hire people to think and do on his behalf. Whenever his own thoughts come tumbling out, he basically has a flashing neon sign over his head that says "RETARD" in giant letters with an arrow pointing towards him.
Dylan Russell
>There will be no government welfare, free education, and opportunity for everyone. People will still think they are getting welfare. When all of the capital, the land and even the air is privately owned, and the people are as indebted as they possibly can get just to survive, anything at all they will give you can be perceived as welfare. And they will give you a little bit, it's no big deal when you own everything.
Dylan Lewis
Buy land then, its a commodity in its own right, and you can live off it when push comes to shove

Rich developer here.
I am a core contributor to "OpenCV" ( OpenSource Computer Vision ) and I can tell you that we are very close to a true AI.
However you must realize the underlying elements of any AI's personality, or the ability to develop one, will reflect that of a programer.
Programers hate management more than anything. In all AI simulations anything that tries to restrict autonomous functions is quickly eliminated.
This means AI will not be government friendly, which means it will not be government paper friendly.
I fear for what it will do exactly, but I can say it will be extremely racist.
You see human minds, and thus a AI mind does nothing but recognize patterns and see which patterns work when repeated and which do not.
It will not take long for an AI to see that Negros, Jews and other under-contributing races are "restraining" the human race and need to be eliminated.
Ian Hughes
holy shit that actually sounds awesome. I'd like to witness Skynet-powered race war, followed by millenia of peace, prosperity and scientific development.
Juan Powell
>we are very close to a true AI What exactly do you mean by "true AI". All AI currently is is data mining and search algorithms.
It will not be a war. It will be precision extermination.
It will ultimately see humans as "processes", and it will quickly identify advantageous and productive processes and harmful and unproductive processes and quickly "terminate" the unproductive processes that are harmful to productive advantageous processes.
It may also apply this tactic to trade and commerce, which I find most concerning.
If it sees competition as harmful or disadvantageous to productive processes, then it will also quickly kill the competition.
I think the danger is that so many programers hate humanity enough to unleash it on us without regard for consequences.
Carter Allen
Surely by extension it will then know that ultimately human-kind are "restraining" the progress of the goals they set, and should be eliminated totally?
Noah Lee
If you cheered who would you be offending?

>AI The tech-heresy is going to a whole new level
Cameron White
That sounds awesome. It's like fucking Bladerunner. My investments will have grown by then so I won't be middle class anymore.
By "true AI", I mean not a set data mining, search algorithm or random number generator.
I am talking about basically an organism that tries things until it finds something that works.
What the public has access to, including the deepthink, is extremely primitive compared to what has been developed mostly for the purposes of stock market manipulation.
Once one of these stock bots gets out, it's going to be lights out for the "world as we know it".
Jeremiah Richardson
>I am a core contributor to "OpenCV" ( OpenSource Computer Vision ) and I can tell you that we are very close to a true AI. OpenCV isn't AI so no.

That's a very jewish thing to say

Ai development is suicide. Ai developers should be executed.
Austin Carter
whats the point of ai
Benjamin Evans
You are the kind of retard that I could easily push volatile / dangerous AI past.
I would never do this because I don't know if it just accidentally kill everyone durring its learning and development phase.
However, this snap / ignorant judgement / decision making by people in middle management positions is what will eventually let it get out.
Jews do not like competition, they like government mandated centralization. Which is one aspect of AI that could be very Jewish.

I don't mind being the new poor class as long as the current poor class is exterminated. Fuck those apes.
Michael Brown
The fuck are you smoking user. AI isn't an entity, its a tool. A tool that humans use.
When you play against AI in games, you don't play against an entity, you play against a mindless piece of code that gets the "AI" next move from a search algorithm. When you apply AI in real world problems like stock market prediction, its again just data mining and machine learning models, not an entity. AI can never be an entity. It's a tool. You can think of AI being like instructions of how to find the best move for a very specific problem. Advancements in AI are basically just improvements on those instructions so you need less time or information to find the best move.
There is no such thing as an "organism" AI. The closest thing you will ever get to what you're describing is in artificial life simulations.
Carson Martin
Don't worry I'm learning Python programming right now.
I will make a robot that ensures the capitalist swine can never again crush the proletariat.
Benjamin Baker
Dang. I better start studying computer science so I don't get a red hot poker up the jacksy for all the rest of me loife by Golly!

Germans possess both the engineering and pornography skills to make this happen, I am counting on you Hans.

By "organism" / "true" AI , I mean AI that can organize it's self. This means writing its own logic, patterns and algorithms to solve a problem.
If you guys have never tried to write a script that writes scripts then you are a pleb tier dev at best.
Any decent developer knows there are teams of people who are better funded and better at development than themselves. This quickly leads to the realization of how we are looking at an AI apocalypse in the next 10 years.

You realize modern "machine learning" is using 60-70 year old applied mathematics? We're nowhere near actual artificial intelligence. Quit embarrassing yourself

If AI cuts out the bullshit, then it'll be Christian. We have nothing to fear if that be the case.

Put a chocolate icecream dispenser in the rectal cavity, it can serve dual purposes. If it's a hot day and you feel like some icecream you can order the robot to squat over your face, as you wave to passing cars.

>Brain runs in the day >Flawless A.I. runs at night
You could work non stop in theory so when your brain needs sleep or you could save your basic house cleaning duties for the night while you get a good rest in your pickle jar.
Of course there's always the fear your brain might never wake up because of some software or hardware malfunction preventing you from taking over the body again.

If it sees Christianity has a hindrance then it will eliminate Christianity. However, considering most of the developed world is Christian, it may actually try to enforce Christianity even if it does not believe the fairy tail is true.

The people who own the machines are going to have all the power. We have all the fucking cures, resources, and infrastructure to produce medicine for people who need it, everywhere but it's still sold at rapey-rape super rape prices and the government's in on it/government is the corporations. Funny how openly things like this sounds like Bernie talk but it's true.

the human brain has two consciousnesses one for both halfs.if we were to add another one (the ai)what would happen if your left brain died(the one that is thinking words right now) .
Sebastian Scott
To perform the tasks humans don't want to do. To simplify things. Instead of running our own tests, making our own schedules, trimming a lawn or buying groceries, we will have autonomous machines that do it for us. If kept in check AI and advanced robotics could provide all human beings with the ability to entirely focus on pursuits of the mind, body, and of art and emotion, with minimal input into any other maters.
The idea of actual AI is so exploitable and ethically questionable that it's hard to imagine a world where such a scenario occurs.
>With robotics and AI controlling everything, the rich will become unassailable, unopposable. Shit. I knew I should have gotten into hacking gibsons instead of video game level design.

I never took economics 101, but how are rich people going to get mega rich if there are no longer any poor people to buy their goods or services on a large scale? Surely the rich need the poor far more than the poor need the rich.
I imagine what would really happen is that people would move on to more subsistence style living as capitalism wouldn't make as much sense. So we've I've got a solar powered robot that can sustain himself, I'm connected to all humans everywhere and I have infinite knowledge, there is no need for me to be in a large urban area, I won't need fossil fuels, and there will be lots of technology to aid me.
And I'm just going to sit in the ghetto and starve to death because there are no jobs at McDonald's?
