/spg/ would be great. It would actually mean more post made in generals and in other threads. Threads on Sup Forums wouldn't be drowned out by generals and people would be more different types of generals would be made on /spg/.

I tell you the 3 steps that will make Sup Forums great again:
1) Relaxed, Sports Bar Moderation
The sports bar vision of our forefathers needs to be rekindled. The mods' lazy and frankly vindictive view of ''We can't take the time to figure out your culture so we're going to nuke it'' is a travesty. In 2011, Sup Forums was the meme capital of Sup Forums due to a unique blend of sports and off-topic that influenced the entire site for years. Today, nothing original comes from Sup Forums. Moderation should serve to protect us from CP, porn dumps, race-baiting, spam, and egregious shitposting. It should not helicopter over power rankings, chase bowls, and other fun threads. If Janitors are meant to represent the community, it should be easy for them to determine which threads are good and which are shit.
2) Gamethread Post Timers Reduced to 30 Second Cooldowns:
When creating a thread, Sup Forums should have a special UI option for ''gamethread'', that reduces the post cooldown to 30 seconds. Threads that are pretending to be gamethreads to circumvent the 60 second timer will be banned (Threads that are checked as being gamethreads can have special subject rules such as needing two team name fields to be filled to help cull this). This way generalfags (I don't like generals but I don't think it's fair to outlaw them) can have their threads without them devolving into chatrooms (which was the original intention for the 60 second increase).
3) Audio Enabled for Webms:
99% of sports video has a broadcaster's call associated with it. Why is audio disabled? Webm creators would appreciate audio allowance, and webm threads would be more popular. Remember, content creation is a key to Sup Forums.
These 3 simple steps would breathe life back into the board, and those who have been exiled can return to create content and make Sup Forums fun again.
TL;DR:

Sup Forums used to be amazing but the moderator got a power trip.
One example was posting of "lebroning" videos. Youtube them, they are actually quite humorous. But the moderator decides to ban them because he deemed them racist.

Sup Forums was great back in 2010-2011. I think it was a combination of the bro/lad cultrue we had and the late night Sup Forums stuff. There aren't sports going on all the time so obviously we can't talk sports 24/7. Not sure what the solution would be but clearly the moderation sucks. No. It's because generals have highly stifled overall creativity. General threads are regularly repetitive. They have created closed off groups of people who treat specific generals as their own personal chatroom and home. There are people who literally spend all day in the same generals bumping them to stay alive or fighting over who gets to start the next thread. These are not healthy things to be doing for the board. Some of them have elitist groups or repetitive spammers who make people who don't live in these threads everyday unwelcome. Funny thing is that these people who use the threads as their personal chatroom are regularly posting off topic anyway. So disguising an off topic thread by starting it as a sports general is perfectly fine apparently.
