edgelord/edge

completely shit

post your favorite films or fuck off

Oh, ok.

Mine would probably be this. Just off the top of my head. Can you recommend me something to watch?

Metropolis, Harakiri, There Will Be Blood
Apocalypse Now, Plattoon, Full Metal Jacket
Spring Breakers, Chungking Express, Memories of Murder

Julien Donkey Boy.
Have you watched more Lang films?

r8 n h8 m8s

what's top right?
haven't seen Man Of Steel, I really didn't like Suicide Squad, but the rest are ok.

X-Men Apocalypse

The reason I have Quicksilver there is because of the whole movie he's the only part I really liked.
Here's the scene.

youtu.be/4LIcOFvWqjk

Rest of the movie is pretty meh, but Quicksilver along makes up for it.
Man of Steel is pretty good, I love the morals Superman tries to find.
I loved Suicide Squad and Harley, and especially Margot Robbie.
Will Smith is probably the worst part of the movie though.

(You)

>I loved Suicide Squad and Harley, and especially Margot Robbie.
Will Smith is probably the worst part of the movie though.
Have to disagree, Margot Robbie was unlikable and annoying as hell in SS, same with Will Smith.

Should I watch X Men Origins before I watch Apocalypse or it doesn't matter?

>tfw my image has become a meme

Apocalypse is the 3rd of a trilogy.

First Class -> Days of Future Past -> Apocalypse

Though I do say you can watch Apocalypse without any other movies beforehand.
Honestly the story follows Logan all the way from the X-Men original Trilogy.
The storyline is really dodgy so if you wanna watch Apocalypse go for it.

It draws new people to these threads sometimes, so I use it.

Ok Thanks, don't watch much superhero movies but I'll try X Men.

Yes, I've seen a lot of early Lang. Never bothered with the later stuff like the M remake. I'd love more from that era or German cinema if there's anything else if close quality. M and The Testament of Dr Mabuse wouldn't be far off my top 10.

I've seen most of Harmony's films, except for that actually and also Trash Humpers because why would I?

the quicksilver scene is much worse than the one in future past.

in fact apocalypse just feels like they took every single thing they thought people liked about the previous films jammed them in and made them over the top.

Check out 30's Dreyer and Murnau.

>because why would I?
Because Julien Donkey Boy is his best film by far.
And Trash Humpers because as divisive with people as it may be, it's one of the ugliest films of all time and a personal experiment of Korine, so if you like his work you should check that out.
I personally don't like it

Kinda why I like it to be honest, cuz it is over the top.
Like I said, rest of the movie is meh, but his Apocalypse scene is so over the top I love it.
Personally, over the top isn't a bad thing, especially if it's supposed to show a character's quirky powers.

That's fine. It's not a serious pic anyway

Holy fucking reddit

What's the serious one?

Hold on
I gotta make one

Yeah i get what you mean, i thought the scene where he starts beating the shit out of apocalypse was really surprising.
everyone always complained in the last film about why don't they just call quicksilver to save the day.

...

titles?

>There Will Be Blood, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Lawrence of Arabia

>Gladiator, The Prestige, Road Warrior

>American Psycho, Master and Commander, Goodfellas

You like Malick or Kubrick?

(You) general? I'll bite.

Never seen any of Malick's stuff. Liked what I've seen from Kubrick so far

Why did I think as I read your list thinking I'd find Jackie Brown and low and behold, your last film is Jackie Brown.

what have u seen drom kubrick so far

The Shining and Dr. Strangelove
Gonna watch 2001 next

Are you me?
(except for gladiator, that film is overrated as fuck)

why didn't you start chronologically?

The Shining is apparently his most accessible and Dr Strangelove is the only one on netflix

what did you think of each?

r/movies the thread

The Shining was great, acting and atmosphere were great
Stranglove was pretty funny but I didn't enjoy the plane scenes honestly

Just fuck me up
