Yeah, maybe back to when he first started writing rap music as a kid. This song is basic and shit.

>did Sup Forums like it?
it's shit
>is the king of hip hop back?
ew, no. listening to eminem in 2017 is redundant. he has to remind us at the end of this shitfest that he wrote stan because no one gives a shit about him anymore

maybe a king during early 2000s for sure, but now?

why is he still rapping?

He ripped off 30secondstomars

>beyonce
>glumbffffy blumpbffffyyy trumfffbbyyyyy
AOTY OMG

i love how the media pushes beyonce as a feminist icon (ugh) but she doesn't have a problem to collab with the guy that raps about raping bitches.

"""personality""" in pop music is as fake as pornstar's boobs

It's decent, but I think we have to wait for one or two more songs to really determine if he's back

Did rap about rape*

He's a pussy now

he grew up. if he still did that everyone here would call him immature and stupid

his best songs are the edgy ones they suit him sooo much better than pop hits

stfu shill it's terrible.

21pilots-tier bad

fuck off eminem

dude, he said he makes the bitches he rape cum two years ago and rapped about punching lana del rey thre years ago lmao

don't get me wrong, i don't have any sjw ideas against "muh violence", in fact i think he should rap about whatever he wants. only that it makes the songs about "ohhh i've learnt about my mistakes!" hypocritical corny shit and that the idea that beyonce is a feminist icon (again, ugh) retarded since she cleary collabs with whoever the money is at (since she's an industry plant, of course)

eminem has become everything he hated 15 years ago

honestly this is an insult to his fanbase

how has he become everything that he hated?

I don't wanna be like this
I don't really wanna hurt no feelings
But I'm only being real when I say
Nobody wants to hear they grandfather rap (nope)
And old men have heart attacks
And I don't wanna be responsible for that
So, put the mic down and walk away
You can still have a little bit of dignity

it's almost the same as how Elton John, a prominent and respected gay figure in the music industry, didn't have a problem collaborating with a guy that raps about homophobic shit.
"""personality""" in pop music is as fake as a pornstar's boobs

he essentially pigeonholed himself into a poppy sensation

In 1999 when the MMLP was being recorded Interscope was pressuring him to make a another hit song. Frustrated, Eminem made "The Way I Am" one of his best songs. In 2017 when everyone is complaining he isn't making hit songs he makes "Walk on Water" this self contradicting, non-existent flow bullshit.

>everyone is complaining he isn't making hit songs
Maybe 13 year old white kids that have only heard Rap God.
Walk on Water, whether you like or not, is nothing like any of his hit songs. It's introspective as hell about how he can't live up to the expectations he set with his other projects and songs, which is literally the exact opposite of TRSS and Rap God.
The song will be a hit regardless, because its the first real Eminem song in fucking years, but I sincerely fucking doubt it was made to be another My Name Is. Even the Beyonce feature was pretty lowkey compared to his other shit with people like her.

My point is he responded to the criticism with a very poor song. I admit the WoW is very introspective yet at the same time it contradicts itself and has no flow. He discusses his choppy robot flow of recent years yet he continues to use it in WoW anyways. He wouldn't be getting half the shit he's getting if fixed his flows or at least stuck with the Relapse flow (not the accent) for a couple years.

What are you even on about? Fuck if she's a feminist, or any of those millionaires. They're just a bunch of selfish cunts with no souls, incapable of having any belief or position. They just want their money, and their every opinion is invariably just what some producer told them would be more profitable. Discussing them as if they were real people is beyond retarded, and either talking good or bad you're just choosing to participate in a circus of ridiculous.

The artwork is so terrible that I can't listen without the preconceived notion that the song is fucking terrible.

he's brave
at least give him that

Jesus christ. STOP with the woe is me bullshit when you're a multimillionaire with one of the biggest cult followings. I can't take this shit seriously it's disgusting how he STILL tried to portray himself as the underdog despite his blessings.

lyrically its a massive improvement on the shitfest thats been every album since after Relapse
the beat sounds like "inspirational piano beat #12" on youtube, beyonce manages to sound like just another "eminem song with a female singer on the hook"
zero flow
i honestly wonder why eminem doesnt try to rap over dusty samples like kanye used to make or something of that nature. He cant do trap beats cause thatd be way too corny, so why not do the old-school MPC sound beats? it fits what seems to be his style of being a straight up rapper and not a melodic rapper. But no, who seems to only rap over beats that sound like they were made with the stock plugins in Logic Pro.

>See artwork thumbnail
>"It's just text on water on grit, kind of boring, but whatev"
>Zoom in
>The grit is the fans

In contention for worst song of the year.

Lame production
Poor lyrics
Muh anger
Paper crumpling intensifies
I cringed throughout it

well he told me in the freestyle i couldn't be his fan anymore but after having heard this i don't think i would have anyways. really awkward flows, hard to listen to.

"this shit is garbage"
you're right em.

hoping theres a few women bashing songs on this album to add to my misogyny playlist
really liked that song So Much Better off MMLP2

don't forget, he referenced stan on his last album too
actually he didn't just reference it, he did a whole homage to it in Bad Guy

Beyonce's part was boring as fuck.

>Eminem
>cult following

Yeah, I'm thinking he's back

...

>Implying that normie artists are above a kid with better taste

It's an Awfully hot Coffee Pot
