ITT: movie tropes that are pretty alright

>antagonist is a force of nature

>villain actually isn't a villain

>protagonist is a straight white male

>how did you hack into it so quickly?

>i programmed it

>protagonist and antagonist team up to take down a greater threat

SUSHI SUCKING LIPS

>based on a true story

>horror movie
>girl opens mirror above sink to get toothpaste or some shit
>when she closes it the killer/monster is behind her

I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite tropes ever.

is your image from Man from Reno OP? that was a good movie

fuck that one and fuck u 2

>Record scratch
>Freeze frame
>Yeah, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got here

>the comic relief has a deep moment, about 2/3 into the movie

>If you're here, then who's......

>"There's no way X could happen"
>smash cut to X happening

>tfw

I used to believe this about the White Walkers in Game of Thrones. I figured they were basically the embodiment of Winter/Cold/Death or some shit, and that there wasn't going to be some sort of solution or battle to be won because you can't fight death. But I was totally wrong. They are actually just skynet zombies.

>Protagonist is completely pragmatic in fights
>Shoots guys who have no guns, bites, scratches, hits guys in the nuts, etc.

Kek. The worst

Bonus points if it's something impossible or ridiculous that they're attempting.

>Sup Forums poster can't think of any real tropes without reading them in these threads

never gets old

>martial arts movie
>contains all sorts of stickfighting, polefighting, sword duels, big melee brawls, knifefighting, etc.
>the final battle is just two badasses going at it in hand-to-hand combat

>professional mercenary actually practices trigger discipline

10/10

Name 1 (one) kino where this happens

>soundbite of the plan being gone over while it happens on screen

>protagonist gives a heartfelt speech about how everybody has to get together to win this
>it actually works

i'm a pleb

>Some unexpected factor completely derails the plan so they have to improvise

>Movie set in the past
>Protagonists encounter several well-known people of the era and inspire them

Forrest Gump did this I think

>protagonist sings to get everyone on their side

those 'if you see it you'll shit bricks' scares that you might not even see on the first viewing because they're in the background
