I never understood why he was liked so much. His music sounds pretty shitty to me.

That's because you have bad taste

That's because you have bad taste you fucking mongoloid

You have a shit taste in music

Lol @ these daddies.

have you considered the possibility that your taste is bad

I haven't been called that since your mum was over last

agreed, desu; his sound never really did anything for me, but then again, maybe it's because I'm not a working class white guy from New Jersey, which I feel like is the target demographic for that "Americana" sound he seems to exude

Except Bruce is actually good

Bruce is 100 percent more 'mom rock'

Romantic imagery, pop edge, music relies a lot on its lead singers charisma

Bruce is still the fuckin man tho

...

So you're a granddaddy lmao?

hes mom-rock

I don't think so

Now judge I had debts no honest man could pay
The bank was holdin' my mortgage and they were gonna take my house away
Now I ain't sayin' that makes me an innocent man
But it was more 'n all this that put that gun in my hand

Well your honor I do believe I'd be better off dead
So if you can take a man's life for the thoughts that's in his head
Then sit back in that chair and think it over judge one more time
And let 'em shave off my hair and put me on that execution line

>They declared me unfit to live, said into that great void my soul'd be hurled
>They wanted to know why I did what I did
>Well, sir, I guess there's just a meanness in this world

He has like three good songs ever, and even on those three good songs...you still have to hear him sing.

what songs

Well they blew up the chicken man in Philly last

Thunder Road, Drive All Night, maybe BITUSA title track?

the ties that bind is good too

CAUSE TRAMPS LIKE US

BABY WE WERE BORN TO RUN

Springsteen is a pleb filter, pleb magnet and patrician as fuck once you dive into his music.

A pleb will get confused by his lyrics and singing.

I get up in the evening
And I ain't got nothing to say
I come home in the morning
I go to bed feeling the same way
I ain't nothing but tired
Man, I'm just tired and bored with myself
Hey there baby, I could use just a little help

that scream at the end of bron in the usa gives me goosebumps everytime

I check my look in the mirror
I wanna change my clothes, my hair, my face
Man, I ain't getting nowhere
I'm just living in a dump like this
There's something happening somewhere
Baby I just know that there is

I don't like Springsteen threads because they seem like a surefire way to bring Sup Forums in here.

Oh Christ shut the fuck up.

bump

Bruce has a lot of good song but also a lot of shit songs
Nebraska is his best album

Liberal fucking hack

the most 'dad rock' artist guy is eric calpton...

name one bad bruce springsteen song

We Take Care Of Our Own

shit taste

There is literally nothing wrong with dadrock.

Literally every artist from the 60's, 70's and 80's are fitting of the term "dad rock"

Not like that word means anything.

kek
hehe nice comeback loser!
...or should i say i had a better comeback on ur moms face last night

Improve taste pleb

Of all his songs, you think Drive All Night is one of his best? Up there with Thunder Road? Sorry but this opinion is objectively wrong.

He took a while to grow on me, I hated him at first but listening to some of his slightly lesser popular albums I start to appreciate him. I still hate Born in the USA.

that's actually pretty good

YA BEEN HURT AND YOU'RE ALL CRIED OUT YA SAY
YA WALK DOWN THE STREET PUSHIN PEOPLE OUTTA YOUR WAY

nobody calls the beatles dad rock.

I love Bruce but Point Blank is pretty lame

what

His music is the epitome of generic.

it really isn't
generally speaking there's a lot going on in his songs and he often plays around with structures. his melodies are powerful and memorable and his lyrics are typically very poetic and emotional. his music overall is extremely melancholic whilst remaining hopeful and down to earth

I think the first two sides are god-tier but the entire second half is pretty forgettable imo. I should listen to it again but I think its fair to say at least that the first half is much better

>no Greetings
Opinion reluctantly discarded

It's also aged remarkably poorly.

The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle is the retarded little brother of Greetings from Asbury Park
The Lady Writer to Bruce's Sultans of Swing

Based Steve

Sup Forums is always here dumb dumb. Sup Forums=Sup Forums

sprinsteen is a communist loving faggot. he dodged the draft, he didnt pay his taxes. hes a fucking crypto kike to the max. he would have no recognition if not for his cheesy 80's songs and every slob from nj in love with such a mediocre dunce

Just because he looks like your dad doesn't mean he's dad rock

>Sup Forums=Sup Forums

Glory Days is terrible.

i liked it more when i found out it was basically taking the piss out of people who peaked in high school

woah now. never said I like springsteen, I just came to reply to some redditor that needed correction. also, dodging the draft and not paying taxes is awesome, who said that those weren't right wing things to do, seems very anti-authoritarian to me.

>never said I like springsteen
get the fuck out of my thread then

1. Born To Run
2. Darkness On The Edge of Town
3. Born in the USA
4. Greetings from Asbury Park
5. Nebraska
6. The River
7. Tunnel of Love
8. The Wild, The Innocent

The River and Tunnel of Love are tough competition in that list. The River is so jampacked, but tracks 7,8,9 (Tunnel of Love, Two Faces, Brilliant Disguise) in Tunnel of Love are a fucking grand slam of modern songwriting and feels.

Mellencamp > Springsteen
