It's a manga that's been running for 20+ years now, and it's pretty incredible. One of the things that's most interesting about it, is that the author has basically reinvented himself in his style several times throughout the series, while still keeping it true to its roots. During the first 10 volumes (referred to collectively as the "Golden Age" arc), it's basically gritty 80s style manga of purely dark medieval warfare, becoming borderlined historical fiction. but in volumes 11-12+ literally hell opens up and pours itself onto earth evil dead style but in a completely serious manner. Over the next ~5 volumes you have every bit of bad in his world corrupted and risen to full blown demonic rape-fests; corrupt priests burning everyone at the stake, packs of roving goblins kidnapping women, raping and impregnating them to make more monsters, an evil god-emporer who tries to take over the world etc. It then turns into a traditional swords/sorcery fantasy where Guts assembles a team of rag-tag heroes to destroy the five God Hands of hell, one of whom was his best friend and rival during the Golden Age.

I imagine she'll be overwhelmed with emotions, some good and some bad towards Guts personally.I just wonder if she'll join them all in battles, and how she'll work. Everyone has items or skill that far outperforms her old self, so I wonder if she won't get some equipment from the faeries before they move on.

It'd be really nice if she at least got to be on the front lines. I think Guts was planning on leaving her at Elfhelm for safety, would be kind of a shame.
A buff so she could fight again would be really cool as long as it doesn't seem like an asspull.
I'm entertaining the possibility that she'll want to go with Griffith, and have resentment towards Guts. It'd be painful to watch for Guts, but that's what Berserk's all about.

Miura stated that Berserk will have a good ending, so I doubt that last part. Even if that would be her initial idea, it would probably wouldn't work that way. If anything it'd be similar to Rickert's understanding of Griffith, he rejected him too.

I thought Miura said Berserk would have a "bittersweet" ending? Granted I don't know moon and didn't see the original statement.
I think it's unlikely too, but it'd be good suffering. Before Griffith ascended, Casca had grown much closer to Guts and was kind of distant towards Griffith anyway.

Casca had already realized that Griffith would never be her lover long before the great betrayal. She'll probably have mixed feelings about fighting Griffith, but if anything, she mighttmake Guts question if it's for the best to let him build a nation in a world full of demons.

That's a good point, if Casca is okay with what Griffith is doing or not. Rickert did see through Griffith pretty quickly despite not being present during the Eclipse. I guess the main question now is if she stays at Elfhelm or travels with them.
Third option being neither/both, and Griffith attacks Elfhelm like he was planning, IIRC.
