>Headlines: Esteban Gutierrez to replace Bourdais in Detroit Sato Earns $2.45 Million for Indy 500 win Coyne Fuming after Ed Jones snubbed as top rookie
Your "sport" is literally worthless now that 'Nando has left
Just wanted to remind you
Nobody is going to be watching this shite ever again
John Foster
Thanks for the bump friend
Joseph Howard
eternal reminder that Hamilton is a carbabby and now that he doesn't have THE premier car in the field he's having a meltdown
Angel Williams
Cheers, I had about as much as I could stand of yuros last week
Justin Green
>no more Nando
>no more joy
>Formula 1 Shit next week with no competitive Nando
FUCK
Angel Butler
Who /pagenaud/ here?
Nathaniel Wilson
>Formula Faggots still this butthurt
I won't miss you shitting up our thread. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
Are we doing a motor/sp/ort general or are all American racing series compressing into indycar for solidarity? I just want to know when I can start Kryle posting.
Eli Gomez
>Are we doing a motor/sp/ort general
The guy who does the general will probably put it up just before the Truck race tonight.
Gavin Miller
no. /indy/ is for indycar only
talk about babyFormula 1 and ASSCAR in your own threads
Parker Torres
...
Adam Wood
Practice 1 should be going live in about 10 minutes
Helio is gonna get that ship, Lord Penske wills it
Camden Thompson
>Rossi in non-napa colors the fuck is this shit
Zachary Russell
>Dixon
Wyatt Nelson

Jesus, there's a huge spread in times for FP1. (3.5s) Good to see Josef fast, surprised to see Graham quick, but he's done well the last couple years. Is there another practice today or do they basically go straight to quali?
Juan Hall
yep there's another practice at 3:30 PM
Bentley Rodriguez
>Pagenaud still rattled af >Sato back to his usual self (Still proud of him for winning the 500, though) >Alotion
Alexander Gutierrez
Pagenauds new scheme
Connor Fisher
>Katie: Will Esteban be in the car for the rest of the season? >Dale: That's the plan.
He performed about as I expected in practice since this may as well be his car test and he has never been on this circuit.
Graham's success in FP1 can't be entirely attributed to having Oriol Servia here, but that could easily be part of it. The cars may be using nearly the same setup. Good to have a teammate for data.
Henry Powell
>Dario Franchitti only used his right foot to brake So does that mean he lifts the gas and then move his foot to the brake pedal like we do in our cars?
Anyways, great to have Dario around.
I'm catching up on practice since I missed it live.
Christian Lewis
Left foot braking is actually somewhat uncommon, or at least it used to be
Isaiah Jenkins
I like it.
Jacob Hill
Marshall Pruett and Robin Miller present the Indycar week in review. racer.com/indycar/item/141101-podcast-the-week-in-indycar-news-june-2 Something to listen to while we wait for FP2. News, stories, dumb shit, worth a listen. Huh. I would think you could maximize the lap time by minimizing the time it takes to get on the gas or brakes.
Dylan Roberts
the days of liveries being the same every race are over sadly
even Penske and Ganassi can't keep the same sponsors every race
Evan Myers
nice but on track it's just another greyish penske blob
Charles Ross
if I hypothetically ran a race team:
>main sponsors only get the livery changed to their colors if they commit to sponsoring the car for the entire season
>otherwise, you get your name on the car, but the livery stays the same every race
sometimes I forget which Penske is which and get TK and Dixon confused
Jason Green
>tfw OP takes your list of Championship points standings from last thread and adds it to the OP of next thread
I helped! I feel special thanks OP
Samuel Cox
2 practices today tomorrow quali for race then race 1 Sunday quality for race 2 then race 2 IMSA is practicing/qualifying/racing too
Parker Torres
I think IMSA has streams of practice and quali as well on their website
>Kryle PLEASE GOD NO. stay the fuck away. leave that sore loser bullshit to asscar.
Andrew Martinez
Always interested to watch the Indycar field challenge someone.
Nolan Taylor
he'd start crying about something and try to cut someone off, locking their wheels together and flying into the fence on the front straight. no thanks
Jordan Edwards
Kyle Busch doesn't want a challenge. he wants to win every race easily. kind of like Lewis Hamilton.
IndyCar has a field of drivers that know the meaning of SPORTSMANSHIP. we don't need his negative bullshit in our series.
Nicholas Nelson
>not wanting one of the most famous NASCAR drivers to run the 500
its like you want indycar to die
Justin Harris
I would be OK with Dale Jr. running, hell even Jeff Gordon, or Tony Stewart or Danica running again. double duty?!
Kyle Busch is a fucking douchebag and I don't want him anywhere near the series. it has nothing to do with him being in NASCAR. he's just a whiny piece of shit
Eli Adams
the 500 already gets plenty of attention, kryle won't make any bigger shift than already happens
Dominic Walker
Hey, unlike Lewis Hamilton, it seems as though Kyle has larger than microscopic balls. Lewey Hamil has giant chips on his shoulder and is incredibly insecure. I want to see Kyle race.
Asher Morris
Different guy. It's not about attention, it's about creating a trend of drivers challenging themselves in different disciplines and driving anything they can.
Don't discourage that faggot.
Xavier Brown
better to be insecure than a raging whiny sore loser asshole.
I know his tantrums give NASCAR ratings, but I think sportsmanship is important. he sets a bad example for kids
Aiden Mitchell
the media makes him seem worse than he is by making a big deal out of his whiniest moments
im certain he would calm way down and not be a dick for the indy 500. its not his turf
Gavin Flores
I don't believe you
media spin or not, his behavior is unacceptable for a professional race driver.
Easton Watson
>Implying Lewis Hamilton isn't a complete sore loser when he starts anywhere but 1st or his teammate outdrives him
Jayden Harris
his sore loser-ness is less abrasive than Kyle
idk, maybe it's because he's British
Christian Gonzalez
Could be, F1 driver are very understated so Lewis is very abrasive by comparison. Rossi barely shows any emotion other than his 500 win.
Josiah Cruz
i agree that its less abrasive
Hamilton has a certain charm about him that Kyle doesn't have. I don't think its because he is british though, just a more charming personality
Jeremiah Moore
I know people talk shit about Rossi for not showing emotion in interviews, but as a fellow introvert, I respect him for that.
did you hear the team radio after he won the 500 in 2016?
>Bryan Herta: YOU JUST WON THE INDY 500 BAYBAY!!! >Alexander Rossi: o...oh my god...
he was almost in tears.
Chase Morris
He's also probably the most talented oval racer in the world and would immediately improve the quality of the field
Adam Evans
I prefer "AGHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Daniel Anderson
racing ovals in a nascar is not the same as racing ovals in an indycar.
bump drafting will kill someone in the 500.
Cameron Walker
that's about enough out of you, Kyle
Ayden Edwards
yeah, Sato's battle cry was awesome, but I think if you just won the 500, you get to react however you want.
Jonathan Wilson
Sports car driver/star Ricky Taylor is in the Penske pit. Recall that he tested with Penske last year after his 24H of Daytona win, speculate if you're so inclined. He could be a replacement for Helio Castroneves when retirement comes. That's a lot of young blood on the team then.
None the less a good driver. Open wheel elitism is cancer
Parker Cox
that's why I'm #RossiPosse 4 lyfe
Jayden Wright
good driver fine but if you're an asshole and not a sportsman I will never respect you
I respect Alonso for being gracious and not getting all mad that his engine blew up, even though he probably had every right to be
Sebastian Young
>OW elitism I mean when you drive more than ovals you tend to be a much more well rounded driver. IRL drivers were on the same level as NASCAR drivers, ovals were all they did.
JPM smoked the IRL field in his first year he was unbelievably dominant(his 2015 win at least he had competition from Power), if you only drive ovals, you're probably not a very good driver.
Justin Long
this is why IndyCar is so great guys!
ovals, smooth road courses, bumpy street courses. and cars that are all relatively the same. truly a great test of driving skill.
Ethan Collins
Practice 2 in a bing?
Oliver Fisher
*bong
Xavier Edwards
Practice in about 50 minutes. Watch to see if Graham Rahal and others keep the consistency. Teams will probably not spend much time on race setup this weekend, where you qualify is very important provided you don't get fucked by the timing of yellows during the race.
Henry Taylor
shit guys... my grandpa just passed away. I gotta go be with my family but keep me posted on the practice session, I'll check this thread when I can. he liked racing... ;_;
thanks guys for posting and memeing with me
Thomas Jenkins
Sorry m8. That always sucks, maybe they have racing in heaven.
Austin Ross
sorry user
Matthew Rogers
thank you Anons
Gavin Collins
FP2 in 15 bings
Luis Cox
FP2 in 15 minutes. youtube.com/watch?v=pRzewVDCAcI Also Ricky Taylor/Penske speculation is not that interesting after learning that Wayne Taylor Racing and Penske share a pit box this weekend.
Luis Reyes
stream is live
Julian Diaz
Be sure to watch the time charts as well.
Brody Gutierrez
Some drivers out on the softer alternate tire. Usually not seen in practice.
Grayson Barnes
Sato goes 1:15.5 which was nearly as fast as the FP1 best time.
Rossi goes faster yet at 1:15.4
Kayden Nelson
limited practice this year, I'm sure the teams want to see how the reds hold up and not just the blacks
>FYI, the top 10 drivers in points get less tires to work with over the weekend than the rest of the drivers
interesting to see how the tire strategies play out, eh lads?
Juan Lewis
>posse
ahahahaha
Carson Perez
Rossi no !
Jack Barnes
Rossi finds the limit and the wall.
Camden Bailey
W E W E W
Jose Harris
;_;
Justin Brooks
nevermind that.
#Possi always holds through for /ourguy/
I'm sure Michael isn't too happy about the repair billl though.
Asher Butler
>ShopAndretti.com Sounds like a store that sells clothing for the larger gentleman.
Elijah White
Rossi should be back out this session, looks to be just the rear wing assembly and the light, however; it depends on whether there's any damage to the gearbox from kinetic energy dispersed.
