personally he's GOAT, he's usually labelled as dadrock though

great songwriter with a really consistent discog

Anyone have a Boss chart? Been meaning to get into him for awhile now, I know he has a big discography. If not I'll just start at the beginning and go in order.

Start with Born To Run and The River

corporate

Honestly you could just go in order. His first 8 albums are ALL amazing.

Best albums are Asbury Park and The Seeger Sessions.

>fun
>emotional
>lyrical master
>qt
>underrated guitarist
>low-key patrician
What more can I say? He's the Boss.

Seeger Sessions deserves more appreciation

either you're my mom or undeniably a closet case or just a gay dude then alright then right on for yourself

>inb4 Sup Forums

I love the passion in his music. His song writing is incredibly powerful and poetic. Also as a person he seems extremely down to earth and stable. I've always been impressed by how he managed to stay clear of drugs and everything. His autobiography is genuinely really good so I recommend anyone to pick that up, get the audio version if you can since he narrates it himself very well.

Yeah but not really. Born in the USA is the only really "corporate" album he's released but even that wasn't intentional.

He's literally an insanely talented songwriter AND performer.

And the paid Springsteen marketers are here already. Neato.

If you don't acknowledge that young bruce is a qt then you my friend are the closet case. You should listen to your mom more.

What is with this bruce-Sup Forums meme.
Almost every single other artists evokes more Sup Forums shitposting than bruce

I don't know how the shitty Manfred Mann version of Blinded by the Light is more popular than the Springsteen version. That track is amazing .

Not him and I know I sound like a shill too but seriously his autobiography is awesome. But obviously someone who isn't already a Bruce fan probably won't get much out of it

I live in NJ so it's required to love Brucey for citizenship
He's an outspoken liberal but even as a Sup Forumstard I love him
This is correct. I actually find it bizarre how popular he is despite how emotional/dark his songs really are.
end your life

He has about three good songs ever and even on those three good songs, you still have to hear him sing.

Fuck off Drive All Night is not good

I mean he has much more than 3 good songs but if there were only three, Drive All Night is not even close to making the cut

nobody ouutside of the united states really care about him

Who cares?
Also, not true, he has a big following in Europe, and there was a period in the late 90's when most of his record sales were in Europe.

That's not true, norway obbsess about him because the guy who played Silvio Dante in The Sopranos starred in a big tv show over here, seems like he also used to play alot with Bruce Springsteen.

Nu-males will never understand Bruce Springsteen. Go back to your hip-hop thread.

Miami Steve! Bruce's lead guitarist on tours.

>Nu-males will never understand Bruce Springsteen
You should see how his albums were rated by pioneering nu male Robert Christgau then. :^)

Yeah that's the guy! I saw him walking alongside a lake with a girl once back when I lived in Lillehammer. He has a house there.

>Fuck off Drive All Night is not good
literally fuck off that's one of his most beautiful songs

Sick
As you can see, Steve Van Zandt loves bandanas. He and Bruce were kicked out of Disneyland in the 80s because they asked Steve to take off his bandana. He went off on this huge civil rights rant as security escorted them out of the park. Not sure if I can find the full passage online but its in Bruce's autobiography

drive all night is top 3 bruce songs for me :/

he has a huge fanbase in the uk

Bruce is a great lyricist but
>Baby, baby, baby, I swear I'll drive all night again, just to buy you some shoes
This line makes me cringe so much

The good side of Dad rock

steve is a legend

Patrician dadrock

I'm British and he's one of my favourite artists.

tunnel of love is very comfy but quite sad

Dadrock.
My father only knows two riffs: Smoke on the water and Born in the SUA.

Dad rock is a term nu-males use to disqualify music they can't understand.

BRUCE. ORALLY. S...

Darkness on the Edge of Town is still my favorite Bruce album

>tfw Streets of Fire

He's made three good songs: Brilliant Disguise, Tunnel of Love and I'm on Fire.
Other than that, he's very bland

My nigga

>tfw racing in the street

ok ok i get it, he is worldwide famous, in my country he isn't very popular tho

ok grandpa

>t. nu-male

Go listen to "Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street?" and tell me that.

>*licks dry lips and corners of mouth*
>*turns down acdc and ted nugent playing simultaneously in the background
>*stops to eat hard boiled sweet*

SPEAK UP SONNY

see you in the asylum, don't forget your pills

Here's a quick one I made

If in doubt

Here's one from
Reddit
.

>any worse examples?

always preferred Big Boss

It's not very good.

Hi live performances are incredible, so much energy and a massive sound.

His albums are totally gutless and boring in comparison.

I like that guitar

The best Bruce song, by far

This chart triggers my autism with the million arrows pointing every way making it impossible to read

This one is much better

...

>NJ grade school
>The Boss' version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town blasting over PA's every morning the week before Christmas
Memories....

I'm from the South so it's weird for me when our Wealthy Supreme Cultured Northern Overlords crown one of their own the king of simple-man working-class grit.

I love everything from Asbury Park to Nebraska (with Darkness on the Edge of Town and Nebraska being my two favorites). Never was huge on anything post-Nebraska tho. I've also seen him live twice with my parents and he can still put on a fucking great show for being nearly 70.

Have you been to NJ?

The South's king of simple-man working-class grit got 58 people killed
