The Grey

Kino.

wolves aren't bloodthirsty psychopaths.
the poem was cool

If you ignore the dumb-ass plot and the after credits scene, sure.

Films women can't understand.

they all died in the crash
the "survivors" are tormented souls, wandering the earth in their afterlife
they cast no shadows
one by one they die after overcoming some obstacle, the obstacle being a metaphor for some hangup in their previous life

daily reminder that if you hated the ending because they didn't show the fight, you're a pleb and should hang yourself asap

This. The movie is about accepting death.

what a booooooring movie and they didn't even show the ending fight

what the fuuuuuck

What after credits scene are you talking about?

He dies fighting the wolves at the end.

>wandering the earth in their afterlife
Wrong, it's purgatory

why the fuck does it snow and are there wolves in purgatory

Wouldn't there like be a fucking rescue team in purgatory too then if we're going full retard already?

>>why the fuck does it snow and are there wolves in purgatory
Please tell me more about the weather conditions in purgatory ...

>Wouldn't there like be a fucking rescue team in purgatory too
They're supposed to save themselves

He had the wrist-watch beacon active.

After killing the mother wolf, he is rescued by an ancient chinese order of warriors to be trained.

Of course, he was only in alaska in the first place because his wife and daughter died. He went there to kill himself, but instead found the true meaning of his existence.

He then became the master of that order of warriors.

That's the scene you see after the credits.

The argument for it being purgatory doesn't really hold for me. While it might explain the unwolfly behavior...meh.

People commonly reference him explaining what death is like as a reason as well. Why would someone know that, and so confidently when explaining it?
Well, because he doesn't. He is tormented by his wife's death and his explanation of death is how he imagines it based on what he saw. She just slipped away, nice and warm (she was in a comfy bed). But it is also him comforting himself with this as a lie.

The post credits scene is, to me, only conveying the futility of it. Sure, he won...but he'll die for it. They both die as equals

William dafoe´s The Hunter was much better /out/core

Bravo Nolan

Didn't like it because I hate seeing hurt animals

>piano starts playing
> dying wife shot

just kino
