The NRA isn't a terrorist organization per se, but they do add to the hysteria of fictional anti-gun rhetoric. Sane liberals respect the constitution and don't want to take all guns, but the NRA makes a point to portray any attempt at legislation as "takin all da gunz!!!" For that, they are despicable. Rather than attempt to have a rational discussion about firearm legislation, may NRA members would rather shout about how Sweden has incredibly lax gun laws and they have few mass shootings (their gun laws are stricter than ours) but when you actually show them Sweden's laws they claim you're lying. The NRA itself is no longer the NRA my grandfather and uncle joined, they no longer promote the safe handling of weapons we're allowed, they only profess the proliferation of firearms in the community and benefit only the manufacturers.
