Here's the most expensive players in the World, sorted for positions.

Who has justified the price tag? Who hasn't? Is it too early to say with some of them?

I'd say Buffon, Alves, Ronaldo and Neymar have justified their price.

Luiz has redeemed himself this season too, if he can keep his current form going into next year his price is fair enough too, going by today's standards.

Bale and Jajames have both had their moments, and I feel Bale would have had much greater time in Real Madrid if it wasn't for the injuries. The verdict is still out on Bale, but Jajames has not lived up to the price tag, especially not when you see how well Real Madrid play without him.

Higuain was super expensive, in part because Napoli knew Juve had just received the Pogba money. He'll win you the league, but disappear in the big CL games. They could probably have gotten another striker for 50% of his price that would have "won" them the league too. So not a good buy, imo.

Obviously Pogba was way overpriced but he still has time to develop and somewhat justify the tag. Too early to tell.

Pebbles and Shaw are JUST tier signings.

Napoli only finished 5 points behind Juve, Higuain decides who wins the sere A

>James

Based

>implying neymar was only 75m£

>Shaw

Ronaldo and Buffon are the only players there actually worth the ridiculous transfer fees in modern football.

shaw looked good up the left when he first came on but then his leg got blasted off and he hasn't recovered

>Shaw
ayy

CR7 >>Alves>Neymar(He cost more tho)>Buffon > James=Pogba=Bale>who are they?

>Shaw
>Stones

>James=Pogba=Bale
lol. even if you dont consider the fact that bale was injured a lot he contributed more in his first season to his teams succes than james or pogba have in their entire careers.

id also switch neymar and buffon. neymar has been good for barca but not as good and not for as long as buffon has been for juve

Shaw is still the most expensive LB in history holy fucking shit

Dani Alves is free

what a fucking shit infograph

does BR stand for Bleacher Report?

Hey bleacher report, if you're reading this. Go fuck yourself and do some research you dumb mother fucking cunts.

Should include the years of the transfers too. Alves was 9 years ago. Would easily be 50+ today

dani alves?

bale was great for a while too. and they'll sell him for double the price to manure

>Higuain
Even with these players I am not sure if they can win anything.

and Dani Alves obviously

Neymar not bad considering the prices of other players

Walker is about to replace Alves.
Van Dijk for Luiz.
Bertrand/Rose for Shaq
M'bappe for Neymar
Eriksen for James

Alright Alves too.

Bale is a top class player, but his and others' fees should be representative of the very select few world greats which they aren't.

>Pogba
Manchester hasn't been this btfo since that Ariana Grande concert

Neymar cost at least 3x that

>89m for the twerking tielemans
>31m for a handful of injuries
>47m for james granite
>63m for the baby-faced cr7

>Premier league babbies
Lol

James' price would be justified if Zidane wasn't such a faggot

jajames isnt better than anyone is the current madrid starting XI

>who is isco

The figure doesn't take into account what they paid his dad

I'd say they were all worth it except James and the English lads

Bale was worth the price at the time, he just got fucked up by injuries

How much was Suarez? he was a better transfer for Barcelona than Neymar anyway

>Stones
>Shaw
>Higuain

What were they thinking?

jon (worst than rob holding) stones

>City giving a shit what they spend

Shaw was overpriced but genuinely looked the real deal at Soton. I will never understand Higuain as a footballer overall.

>Paying world record amounts in a league you can walk with the B team

It's like APOEL spending £30m on a player. Halal Madrid are pure cancer.

it's all marketing. look at beckham, didn't fit their style of football and countless players were better in his position but they leapt at the chance to sign him

Who will get in the "most expensive by position XI" after this summer?

Some Monaco fullback

Mendy, Van Dujk, Lukaku, Walker
In a couple years it will be the PL XI

James is a fucking FAIL

Napoli scored more and made more points this season than the last one (setting theyr all time record for both)

Great deals - Buffon, Alves, Ronaldo
Ok deals - Nemyar, Bale, fat striker
Bad deals - James, Luiz, Pogba
Terrible deals - Stones, Shaw

I pretty much agree with everything you said.

What's your problem with it?

Transfer fees aren't really an accurate way to measure talent. English players have inflated prices because of the homegrown rule, teams need to have at least 8 homegrown players on their squad so the top PL clubs try to make those 8 players as good as possible. It's why City paid so much money for Stones and Sterling and why Shaw is the most expensive LB in the world. And in Higuain's case, they simply spent that money because they wanted to weaken Napoli, their biggest threat in Serie A.

In other words, all their prices are "justified" since that's what price their selling club gave them.

This.

Except Pogba. That's an ok deal.

nothing just another american trying to feel validated for his hatred of bleacher report soccer coverage. they're shitty but there's literally nothing wrong with this.

deserved tier
>alves
>ronaldo
>neymar
nerman was worth it considering now he'd cost 150m

undeserved tier
>buffon
been at the club for 400000 years, hasn't won shit since the serie a title became pointless, also that type of money in 1990-whatever is stupid
>luiz
>shaw
>pebbles
>memguain
choker, would be better if he wasn't such a fatty

? tier
>pogba
who knows, he could be worth it in 3 years but for now he isn't
>hames
probably worth it but the bald african man wont let us find out
>bayol
good player but the only thing i remember him doing is that goal vs barcelona, also has lots of injuries

>paying 89 million for a nigger

>hasn't won shit since the serie a title became pointless

can barely blame a goalkeeper for a team's lack of success in europe, particularly buffon who's been superb throughout

>15 years of world class goalkeeping arent worth 40M
that flag etc etc

>THE FUCKING STATE OF OVERHYPED ENGLISH """"""""""""""TALENT""""""""""""""""""""

Buffon.
Alves.
Ronaldo
Neymar (official price money not kickbacks to family).

The rest are memes.

>2 (two) young English lads
Its coming home isnt it?

>No Messi

This

Best post

He's never been bought or sold as a senior so no one knows.
