Battery usually goes for a couple days constant use. It's as simple as putting it on the charger for an hour or so and you're good to go again.
It's useful for activity and workout tracking, and I can read and respond to texts and the like without needing my actual phone nearby as it's got cellular capability. I can make calls, send messages, read email/bank account, no need for the phone to be on my person (useful at work, or if I forget my phone, etc.)
Can also ping my phone if I need to find it.

I bought the first version because I couldn't decide if I would find it worthwhile unless I could test drive it for a few weeks. Took advantage of the decent return policy and... Well I don't love it. But it's the only watch I've worn _every day_. And it's always useful - once you turn your Slack notifications off...

Guys, I need your help.
I'm only a student at University so money is rather short. My "best" watch I currently own is a Tissot Le Locle with the Powermatic 80 movement.
I simply love the design (and the heritage) of the Rolex Day Date, but I simply can't afford it. One day hopefully.
Anyway, I came across the "Orient President" which is pretty much a Day Date hommage. I don't know, is it worth a buy? Or does it just look like a cheap Day Date imitation? What do you guys think?

Nothing wrong with the president. I'd own one but I really don't like diamonds on watches, I think it's tacky, but if you like the design then go for it.

Only matters if you can afford it without going into debt or missing any important bills.
If you can drop a couple of grand on a watch comfortably, do it. If not, don't.
Take a financial class if you're in college, it's better than your liberal arts degree.

Japan and Seiko are real quality (even if cheap) movements. Chinese movements are often throw-away parts. You can't repair them. But they are cheap as fuck (sometimes around 10-20 bucks for an automatic watch) and quite precise.
