Please help me Sup Forums I've gone and bought a Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti G1 Gaming 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card for my new rig...But I'm unsure if it'll fit. Now I'm stressing out because it wasn't cheap. Pic related. Will post picture of motherboard. Please wise Sup Forums wizards help me..I beg of you.

Look up dimensions on the internet, take out a ruler or something and measure it. What do you expect us to tell you from a picture?

Will it fit this motherboard...Its 22cm long.

It should fit between the motherboard power cable bundle and those SATA cables sidewise, but you cut off the right side of your picture and we can't see how long room do you have.
And seriously, measure how much room is there.

Hmm I see, I sure hope it fits. Does this picture make it any easier to judge?

That card isn't longer than the motherboard by the looks of things, so it should fit fine - It goes in the top yellow (PCI Express 16x) slot, make sure to press the lock down, it should click back into place when you put the card in

Didn't think of measuring my setup before buying it, picked it up today, and my excitement got the better of me. As you can probably tell I'm rather ignorant in the world of PC.

Read the specs page, see if the length is less than the space you have

Phew, it fills me with such content to hear that. But I'm worried the ram might be run the way, user

You should be fine, but you won't be able to fit a hard drive into one or two of those racks across.
By the way, it will fit any motherboard. The question is if it will fit into your pc case or not. Worst case scenario, you can buy a larger tower or just take the whole thing out of the case.

If you paid more than 175 then you are an asshat

It won't be in the way. There is nothing on the ram side of the video card board.

If it doesn't fit, turf the case and have a 'computer table'. It's what the cool kids (me) are doing.

That's the card when it's fitted. That isn't mine of course.

£197.

I sure hope so. I can't cancel it because the Ebuyer lines shut at 6pm and I've been at work till 10pm GMT

what even

Haha, yeah good call. But, I'd be too afraid to bump into and know all the shit onto the floor.

Look at the picture you posted: The card's back doesn't go any further towards the memory than the PCI-E socket.

Yes thats true, but the ram seems smaller.

Just look how close the ram is to the PCI-E slot. Hence why I'm worried about a 22cm card not fitting.

>stock cpu cooler

Attached: 1474011145873.jpg (400x460, 36K)

You actually think you need that much ram? what a waste of money.

user, a 22cm long card's back is just as flat as a 10cm long card's back.

I bought the computer off a mate. Everything in there was put in there by him. The ram is maxed out. I haven't added anything.

Yes I guess you're right. So the foxconn heatsink won't get in the way either? I appreciate all the help to the anons that have helped me. It's you guys that make Sup Forums worth sticking around for.

Ok annons, which is the last Legacy Bios video card I can use ?

I have an old i7 which still runs like a beast on radeon 7700

No. As you saw on the earlier picture, the card doesn't go towards the memory/heatsink.
You know, cards and motherboards were designed to fit.

stock cooler is fine if you are not planning to overclock your cpu.

Shit didn't even notice that! fits nicely over the heatsink in the pic. You've put my mind at ease big time! I owe you my life, user.

I've no intention of doing that. besides, since when were stock coolers so huge!? the mate I bought it off built the PC himself.

What are the specs on that pc? Because if thats 32gb of ddr3 ram thats a fucking lul my guy. Foxconn has trash mobos. 700w psu, 32gb of ram, is your friend retarded?

that is not a stock cooler lol.

Looks pretty but all those fans will just be fighting each other doing fuck all. PCs today don't run at ridiculous temps like they used to anyway.

Attached: Screenshot_20180328-001442.png (1080x1920, 1.89M)

Maybe if you like your cpu running at 80c+

system, not display.

depends on how you configure your fans. If you know how to create a good flowing system, it will cool like a charm.

i've got a 6700k with the stock intel cooler and some good case fans. under full load it will never exceed 50 degrees Celsius.

There you go, user. If only cost me £280

Attached: Screenshot_20180328-001428.png (1080x1920, 1.89M)

It runs at a cool 30 degrees Celsius.

oh boy, another self proclaimed pc expert. sure son, whatever makes you sleep at night.

Chances are it would have anyway. I got one of those cheap CoolerMaster single cpu sealed liquid cooling kits and haven't looked back (turns out it was a faulty power supply causing the excessive heat in the first place..) so in retrospect it was completely unneeded. I am a sucker for form though, and red/blue leds look fucking amazing anywhere.

30c idle?

shh its ok.

Attached: Untitled.png (233x177, 6K)

theres literally no reason to use stock cooler. evo 212s are only $30, quieter, and cooler than stock. if you get the chip+stock cooler combo its probably going to cost you an extra $30 anyway

side note: why the fuck are you guys using micro-atx? use at least standard atx so you have room to work with. they really arent that much more expensive over the microatx, and saves a ton of headaches

The boards are cheap & don't hurt to throw away when they die

Attached: i heart giglebyte XD.jpg (720x860, 322K)

sure, an aftermarket cooler cooles better and is more quiet. I dont deny that. But saying a stock cooler is not capable of cooling your untouched cpu is downright retarded.

my Intel 6700k does never exceed 50C on full load with the stock cooler.

i've been building computers for over 10 years, and I dare to say that a stock cooler is fine for normal consumer use. including playing games and stuff.

??? is that a gen 3 intel cpu??

I'm OCing my i7 960 to 3.99GHz on the stock cooler with a 1050i and it's running like a dream with no overheat issues at all even during heavy use.

ma boy, the 6700k didnt come with a stock cooler

>it was expensive
>1050ti
Pick 0

sounds like you got lucky with your chip. some chips overclock easily without having to adjust the voltage too much.

Nice increase of power anyhow!

everyone has a different understanding of what expensive means

that is very true. But like I told you, i build pc's for a living. I had some spare stock intel coolers around, so i installed one.

works like a charm.

Thanks and checkd

my 8700k didnt come with a stock cooler either :(

>implying poorfags/shitskins matter

Attached: 122.png (398x307, 189K)

eh it's okay for that price, personally I would've got another £100-150 and built a much better (new) ryzen setup. The ram is outdated and the cpu is a locked old 4 core Intel cpu which will bottleneck in some games from the past year or two

no K versions(atleast newer ones) come with a stock cooler

I plan to work on it. I'll make it a hobby of mine. That graphics card being the first thing to add. Next I plan to update the processor.

Those shoes are fucking gay

You fucking make that shit fit nigga

Attached: Rig.jpg (3258x1659, 1.1M)

why are you watching horse porn user?

these ryzen stock coolers give me great joy

hahaha, nice hard drive cage

Your rig is going to be a potato by 2020. Not a good time to build a rig, /bro

that cable management

Attached: 1510206757758.jpg (600x465, 38K)

Ill bite.

U think its worth going for 5.1ghz @ 1.3v running like 75c full load on a 8700k or dropping that shit to like 4.9 1.25v ~60c full load? 4.9 to 5.1 is like 2% more power. Its stable at 5.1 right now, realbench doesn't blow it.

Too kek, good point...Fuck boundaries!

Just use Pcie extenders user and have the card out of the case

Why aren't you, is the better question.
no u

1050's are fucking tiny, they will fit in damn near any system.
You'll be fine

anyone got the cap of the user running his pc at 120ºc

Noob to PC gaming and finally have what I consider my first real rig, hoping someone can help me out with over clocking since I have no idea where to begin MSI dragon center (stock over clocking software) doesn’t allow me to adjust voltage which I’m scared to mess with anyways since I know nothing about OC I’ve got i7-7700HQ with gtx 1060 6gb thanks in advance if anyone take time to answer

And also what I’m asking here is what values are safe for my hardware? Default overclock is set to VRAM - 200ghz and the core clock set to 0

buy a case new, the cooler master, masterbox lite

the whole point of the xx50 model is for it to be cheap and small

The thing is you can't replace the processor without buying a new motherboard and ram, so you'll basically be buying a whole new setup

My gaming build

>my Intel 6700k does never exceed 50C on full load with the stock cooler.

Is full load for you opening up youtube? I have a 6700k with a 212 evo and it still gets to 70+ under heavy sustained loads.

450w psu go fine with 1080 ti....

Over 4 cores

On a gaming build please tell everyone the point in that ?, when the faggot software written by none other than 1 Button Click Generating publishers for AAA games, The engines don't utilise cores correctly still yet its been sitting on AMD and Intels and ARM page for like 15 years
but still these fucking cumsoaked cockloving child raping sextrafficking publishers still use old techniques with massive overhear all based on fucking script engines running on script engines tugging on the cocks of faggots at review magazines all for the latest tech blowjobs....

What's the point in having more than 4 cores on a gaming rig ?

>Be me a Noctua D15

Fuck your closed loop coolers
Fuck Asetek AKA ThermalTake AKA Corsair AKA any
random sub $200 water cooler all rebrands of cheap Taiwanaman
shit box cool nothing eat shit white dog cooler shit.

The 212 has a good rep for a base level cheap cooler most places stock fucktons of them for that reason
but for fucking goatrapers sake it's not a long term cooler for things really.

I need it to make renders in after effects, autocad, and solidworlds, I do not only use it for games, games are from time to time in moments of boredom ...

water cooling degrade after one year of use 24x24
