Name some genres you'd like to get into, and others suggest some albums to start with.
I'll go first:
>garage rock
>dark ambient
>psychedelic (any kind)

Dark Ambient:
I'd recommend you to check out tim heckers work, like Ravedeath, 1972 or Virgins. Maybe Ben Frost's By The Throat as well, even tough his music can be incredibly patience-testing at first listen.

>psychedelic
Flower Travellin Band- Satori
Flaming lips - yoshimi battles the pink robots

rec me

Blackgaze and Ambient :)

Garage rock:
Japandroids - Post-Nothing
Black Keys - Rubber Factory
Rec me

Funk

Brian Jonestown Massacre - Take It From The Man
Dead Ghosts - s/t
The Sonics - here are the sonics
Allah-Las - s/t

Krautrock. It just doesn't move me at all. Listened to a lot of the classics like Neu and Can, and I think its cool but it just doesn't do anything for me.

>Math rock
TTNG - Animals
Battles - Mirrored
Shellac - At Action Park

>Japandroids

What the fuck are you doing

Those are good recs, but not really dark ambient. Lustmord would be a better pick.
