Franchises moving

>teams moving to places where they don't belong
>sports artificially planted in towns where nobody cares
why u do this America?

it's either this or watch an institution burn like Parma

Unlike frenchmen, they are not tied to a place. So, whenever muslims invade their shit, they just move from one city to another, instead of subjecting to massacres such as the ones like Charlie Hebdo and Bataclan.

>tfw none of my teams have ever moved

Feels good living somewhere relevant

Parma went bankrupt because of bad management. And despite this the club is still there

that made no sense

>New Orleans Jazz

holy shit now it all makes sense. Fucking Utah Jazz is stupid as shit change the name

>Utah Jazz becomes Salt Lake City Salties

does anyone here know why the new york mets wear orange and blue?

who /Denver Nuggets/ here?

Fuck Art Modell

Supply and demand.

Only so many professional franchises to go around, with many cities capable of hosting them.

Are they run by Hollywood colour graders?

>Angels and Padres are the only California grown teams
>both have the smallest fanbases
Fucking bandwagon scum

...

best complementary opposed colors combination possible

It's horse shit desu. Luckily this can't happen to college sports

>Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg
What the fuck man, imagine being a >lifelong fan and you team just decides to move over 2000 kilometers away

Except blue is a primary colour and orange is a secondary. Purple and orange oppose eachother on the colour wheel

actually it's what happened to those poor St Louis fuckers

No such thing as a lifelong thrashers fan. They only started playing in 1999.

ya imagine what it must have been like in my city when winnipeg moved to phoenix. It was gut wrenching.

Atlanta didn't really have that much of a dedicated fanbase, and were always in the bottom of the league for attendance

>winter sport in the wet warm south
wow, NHL CEOs are geniuses

Atlanta did relocated twice, actually. The first franchise, Atlanta Flames, got relocated to Calgary

It was as much the ownership's fault as the leagues (probably moreso).

They sold the team to americans who planned to move the team immediately to somewhere in the states (originally they wanted to go to Minnesota). The fuckers even let selanne walk in-lieu of keeping tkachuk (because he was american). Which just goes to show you the quality of the ownership in phoenix (and all southern teams at the time). Sure Tkachuk was a good player, but Selanne was the best one to put on a jets jersey since hawerchuk and absolutely demolished the rookie scoring record 2 years prior.

Because we don't have teams in every village and hamlet with 1,000 people in it. Except baseball. Which would explain why only 2 MLB teams have moved in the last 40 years.

The lightning are actually pretty well off right now

Don't take sports too seriously

instead, the self-entitled athletes jump ship at schools to get better play time all while not paying a cent to the uni and having throwaway, gpa inflating classes. If they take a real class, someone else does all the work

thought it was because vagiants orange and doyers blue

>french ligue 1
>champions are team from monaco
