>>Reeve went through inner anguish in the ICU, particularly when he was alone during the night. His approaching operation to reattach his skull to his spine (June 1995) "was frightening to contemplate. ... I already knew that I had only a fifty-fifty chance of surviving the surgery. ... Then, at an especially bleak moment, the door flew open and in hurried a squat fellow with a blue scrub hat and a yellow surgical gown and glasses, speaking in a Russian accent." The man announced that he was a proctologist and was going to perform a rectal exam on Reeve. It was Robin Williams, reprising his character from the film Nine Months. Reeve wrote: "For the first time since the accident, I laughed. My old friend had helped me know that somehow I was going to be okay."

They were all shit. That's the sad reality we have to accept.

I wouldn't mind this being remade with non-shit cgi. pretty good premise 2bache

this movie is magical

I thought they did ok with the cinematography.
the story is based on a book by Richard Matheson
and the only thing I would change is to bring it closer
to what Matherson wrote.
Side note, still get misty when he decides to stay
at the end.

I miss him family

Best film : Awakenings
Best acting : that's a tougher choice but I'd have to say Good Morning Vietnam.

The only reality you have to accept is you being a shit. Fuck off to reddit already.

Whoever greenlighted this movie is going to hell. Jesus Christ, this was pure nightmare fuel.

no doubt, but that cgi is just dated and has a lot of 90s corniness going on. great movie tho, my eyes also spray fluid at certain parts. always meant to read the book, I'm sure it's really good.

I have a real problem with the suicides going to a special circle of hell. Known a couple suicide cases over the years and I guess that bothers me a lot that they stewed in their misery forever with a very slim chance of learning to forgive themselves. Other then that, I liked the book and movie adaptation.

Good Will Hunting is actually his only good movie. He is a one-hit wonder.

One hour photo is brilliant, plebo.

misery for the rest of their natural lifespan* sorry, too much to drink.

>directed by Francis Ford Coppola

Don't worry, there's no heaven or hell, or limbo. You're just dead and gone and if that person was living a life of pain and torture, they're free of that. Be happy for them, don't stress over make believe fiction.

It's not, niggerlover. But I forgot Dead Poets Society so he got two good movies. Good for him.

BIRDCAGE

The book reads way different but less flowery
It felt more like a guy coming up with his own
end of life experience
The only scene that felt hokey was the entrance to
hell, which wasn't cgi.
I will say the skating over water bit was tacky
done.

good will hunting
dead poet's society

CAn't believe he killed himself before America was to be made great again. America sucks, and some people couldn't or can't hack it, which is very sad. Suicide. It's not your problem, the depressed are going to go whether or not you like it. We will have a second Renaissance and the sad part is that they will be left behind.

I've had two friends take themselves off the ride
and I still support the right to do so but Matheson
never said it was punishment just that it was
the choice of the person involved. In the book
they could eventually choose to realize what happened.

yfw Richard Matheson had another one of his stories adapted.

>How do you want this movie to be, Mr. Matheson?
>Just fuck my art up.

that was shit. at least most of his shit went to baller ass twilight zone episodes.
at least real steel was a good story. >pic related
