Populars movies you still haven't watched

In my 23 years of life I still haven't watched a single LORT and Back to the Future movie

>LORT

I have never finished the original Star Wars movies. Never watched Indiana Jones.

star wars

I haven't watched walking dead or breaking bad.

Let's be patrician friends

...

I've never watched any Harry Potter nor read any of the books. I have just never had any interest in them at all.

LOTR and couldnt finish original Star Wars and only saw one Indiana Jones movie. Harry Potter also

>back to the future

aged like milk, shit isn't worth watching

>lotr

boring as fuck, not worth watching unless you enjoyed the books, but then you would have watched it already

you can't have not seen any Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter movies and still be old enough to post here. That shit was borderline mandatory if you were a kid in the early 00s unless you live in Kazakhstan or something.

I still think BTTF is worth a watch, it's a pretty cozy movie but there's been that many parodies and ripoffs you might just think it's a bit weak. When I finally got around to seeing the star wars trilogy I was already sick of it because of all the parodies and shit.

I still don't think star wars is in any way deserving of the cultural status it seems to have garnered though. It's alright, but it's not that amazing. How it became a fucking juggernaut is beyond me.

Harry Potter guy here, I'm 31.

You and me, user. You and me.

2001 A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner

I think I was 10 when Fellowship Of The Ring got released and at least in my country it wasn't viewed as a "kids" movie, it was marketed for teenagers and adults. I did watch all of the HP movies in the cinema, but I don't remember me or my friends being interested in LOTR.

Star Wars

Lord Of The Rings

The Godfather

Alien

They all seem to be meme films to me that's why I haven't watched them

Im 30 and live in usa just had no interest

The first Alien is one of the best horror ever made

Never watched any of the original Indiana Jones movies

Even though I really like Star Wars they are definitely meme movies.

The other ones you mentioned it are not though, so watch them.

Star Wars
It seemed retarded to me even when I was a kid, I wanted to commit sudoku back in december when Sup Forums was nothing but star wars.

Same

So you're that boring old fart nobody wants to talk to at parties (if they even invite you that is). Go back to your library grandad.

1931's Dracula and all the horror classics from those years, like Frankenstein and The Mummy. Except King Kong if that could be considered classic.

Also I've never watched any of the slasher trio: Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween films, at this point I don't think I'll start on these, they've just never been appealing.

2001 A Space Odyssey, Full Metal Jacket

BTTF is probably one of the most referenced films of all time. So you're probably missing out on some pop culture phenomena by not watching it.

LOTR is just boring.

The last Back to the Future and the second Kill Bill.

nearly everything on every Top X Classic Movies list you can find. examples include but are surely not limited to:
Citizen Kane
Casablanca
Twelve Angry Men
Gone With the Wind
Shawshank Redemption
2001: A Space Odyssey
Psycho
It's A Wonderful Life
North by Northwest
Jaws
and many more. i am a textbook pleb

pic also related, haven't seen The Shining either

Too many to count, some don't really interest me and some I just postpone for some reason

I've wanted to watch Predator and Starship Troopers for years but I never do

Tonight is the night, user.

Which one first?

havent seen The Godfather, Goodfellas or most mob movies
never really been interested in them

Predator then Starship Troopers

Starship Troopers first for some comfy viewing and then when it gets darker outside you watch Predator for the suspense.

then Predator 2: Danny Glover Boogaloo

I've yet to watch a Star Wars, LOTR, Harry Potter or Nolan Batman film. And I don't feel like I'm missing much. I will watch The Dark Knight Rises one day though.

Die Hard
Alien
Braveheart
Lord of The Rings series
Mad Max series
Citizen Kane
The Godfather series
Goodfellas
Fear and loathing in Las Vegas
Good Will Hunting
Predator
Star Wars: A New Hope
Lolita
The Truman Show
Apocalypse Now

>I will watch The Dark Knight Rises one day though.
Just watch the opening meme scene, nothing else about that movie is worth your time.

>LORT
Lord of Rhe Things?

The Matrix
Titanic

I'm 26.

The "You're a big guy" scene is right at the start? I'll download and watch it right now if it is.

>Titanic

Unless you're a chick this is nothing special to miss out on.

Correct. The scene is all over the place on Youtube though so you might just wanna watch it there unless you need your memes in the best possible quality.

I hope you die without having the pleasure.

This thread explains so much of the problems with this board, it's kind of enlightening.

Star Wars
I really did try, I got through the first one, but then the second one bored me half to death and I stopped watching.
I couldn't get into them at all

Breaking Bad is really good, especially the first seasons.TWD looks like a shitty student film and it's worse when you watch it.

24 years old. Never watched:
>A Clockwork Orange (memed into my consciousness, I feel like I've seen it already)
>Dune (started it after reading the book and couldn't continue)
>Any David Lynch
>Hellraiser
>Apocalypse Now
>Full Metal Jacket (memed into my consciousness)
>Citizen Kane
>12 Angry Men
>Gone With the Wind
>Brazil
>>>>>>>Excalibur
>Deer Hunter
>Taxi Driver (memed)

I've never seen any of the Star Wars movies. They've been parodied and talked about so damn much I feel like I know the entire series through osmosis.

Hell, I've seen all the Star Wars Plinkett reviews and Spaceballs too, but never the actual things.

Never watched any LOTR too

Back the the Future isn't anything special honestly (especially the sequels), it's pretty bad even if you've got no special attachments to it (nostalgia or whatever - here it seems to play every Christmas).

But you should probably give LOTR a watch, they're still great movies. I always thought they were going to be boring nerd crap, so I ignored them for the longest time.

Titanic is one of those movies I watched in parts on TV but never the whole completed thing.

The first Nightmare on Elm Street movie is definitely worth the watch as a solo film. I personally prefer that film series (even some of the more awful sequels) simply because of the character of Freddy and that they keep Robert Englund throughout all the movies.

Second this order. Starship Troopers is an easy and comfy watch before easing into Predator.

For Dune, you're better off watching the TV series - which is quite enjoyable.

the 2nd half with the ship going down is pretty cool

The Shining
It's a Wonderful Life
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
any Die Hard
any Harry Potter
GOT

LotR, Star Wars, I can sort of understand.

At least give Alien 1 and The Godfather 1 a chance.

I just got done marathoning The Godfather movies. I'd recommend them to anyone. I absolutely love them now.

Also
>Meme movies
>Doesn't list Titanic

What if those guys were kids in the 90s?

The romance is just filler for me. The main appeal is watching the ship sink and everyone chimp out.

Lion King
Beauty and The Beast
Hunchback of Notre Dame
Casablanca
Gone With The Wind
any Alien movie
any superhero movie in the past 7 years

Same.

I remember Harry Potter coming out at the same time as Fellowship of the Ring. At the time it just seemed like a cheap cash in on the LotR craze. I see now it wasnt and lately I have had interest in checking out the franchise.

Well the practical effects are really well done and cool. Other than that it's an extremely cliched chick flick with hilariously cartoonish and overly simplified morality 'commentary'.

So fucking many... by the waywhen the first HP movie came out I was afraid that it would have scared me so I didn't go and the LOTR ones were for teen and adults. At 22 years old I've never watched both series fully and I don't plan to, at least for now. Also I don't like much fantasy, in fact I love sci-fi but I watched the first 3 movies of Star wars only this year, and of course they were enjoyable but nothing more, for sure not masterpieces as most normies think.

this. also hairy potter and titanic
and solaris and stalker

I didnt watch LOTR until about 5 years after it finished. It was probably longer than that for the Back to the Future films.

You're one of those people I see..
Hyperbole is a trait of women and insecure men

this both hp and lotr looks like our gens ..idk.. Princess Bride.. but made to a huge cashgrab franchise. not interested.

Pulp fiction
2001: A Space Odyssey

braveheart
amadeus (going to watch this one soon)
the pianist
casablanca
barry lyndon

hp sure, but lotr especially the first film is definitely worth watching. arguably the single greatest blockbuster. it boggles the mind that there are people that haven't watched the best adaptation of the best fantasy novel.

I haven't seen any of those mobster classics like The Godfather, Scarface, Casino, Goodfellas, ect

for reference, look at these screens from FOTR

Most 80's cult films or classics
Bttf
Rocky series
Rambo series
Most John Hughes movies
Any van Damme

I have never seen the lion king, the first 3 indiana jones movies, or all of the star wars movies. I have seen parts of the original star wars movies and the rest has been spoiled to death for me so I don't really care about them.

When I told my friend I hadn't seen the lion king he thought I was joking and laughed it off. I don't get it, it's not at ALL a joke I would make.

HP Pasta guy? Any second now.

Lion King
Titanic

All of Alien + Prometheus. Although I do shitpost about first one being superior to the second, something about atmosphere.

I have seen them all and thought they were only okay. I don't know what the big deal with the Godfather films was. I thought Casino and Goodfellas were both mildly entertaining, I had no idea people would start putting them in lists of great all time movies. Scarface isn't a good movie really, it's just an extended meme.

In 19 years of life I have never seen:
-a non american movie
-a movie made before 1990. I think the oldest movie I've ever experienced was Hook.

I don't think there's something worthwhile from before anyway

That's some tasty bait user

>I don't think there's something worthwhile from before anyway
this is bait
rocky, 70's

He even used a hook

>All these people ITT shitting on BTTF

It's one of the most fun movies of all time and pretty much perfect. I don't understand why anyone would dislike it. It also hasn't aged like shit, it holds up pretty good.

A lot of the reason why I have no desire to see bttf and other 80s movies I haven't seen is because of the fanbase. Most of them are 80s and 90s kids favorite movies growing up so they see them as the greatest things ever. It's one of those things where if you didn't watch it at a young age you don't really care as much as those who did.

>never saw titanic
>never will

>ywn see die hard again for the first time

JDIMSA. seriously, watch it. i didn't think it could be so good and i made fun of it, but it's incredible.

I hadn't seen BTTF until this past week. I watched all 3 back to back after watching the first. The first 1 is the ultimate comfy movie and everything works in it, there is not a single scene that doesn't work in the film. 2 is still great and III loses a bit of charm, but still is a great 80s film

meme movies i haven't seen yet. i feel so left out of society's loop
>the dark night
>the big lewbowski
>monty python and the holy grail
>lotr trilogy
>harry potter series
>the dark knight rises
>batman v superman
>all marvel and dc comic movies
>suicide squad
>no country for old men
>kick-ass 1 and 2
>napoleon (something)
>not one wes anderson or paul thomas anderson film
>no adam sandler film beyond happy gilmore
tv
never seen walking dead, breaking bad, lost, sunny philadelphia, office, parks and rec, scrubs, sons of anarchy, the bazinga show

>a-at least the books were good
NO!

Holy Grail wasn't the best Monty Python, Meaning of Life was way better

>At the time it just seemed like a cheap cash in on the LotR craze. I see now it wasnt and lately I have had interest in checking out the franchise.
it wasn't at first but after book 6 it clearly was

Everything old always gets overrated by nostalgia. I noticed this when I was a kid (I'm old) and all the 50s and 60s movies were always 4 stars and considered a classic even if they were just so-so. Now it's 80s movies. The Goonies was crap, no one liked it, suddenly people are having parties showing it like it was something good, only because they were 7 when they saw it and that was a fun summer for them. Back to the Future is a good film, everyone enjoyed it but it wasn't seen as anything important, just a solid hollywood popcorn movie.

Harry Potter series, the face of Harry just made me feel sick that's why I didn't watch it.

The Godfather, well I watched like 3/5 of the movie but I found it to be as boring as fuck, it's just nothing for me I guess.

Twilight, because I didn't have a girlfriend so I wasn't forced to watch it.

You will never guess what happens to the ship!

>the goonies was crap, no one liked it
speak for yourself. i loved it on release. and actually so did a lot of critics.

>bttf not important
it was the first time travel adventure comedy. inspired countless other time travel movies and tv shows.

i agree the goonies is normieshit. average at best.

Truth. I watched it with my friend and his girlfriend, only to say I had seen it. I expected it to be 0/10, it was a 1/10
