/mlb/ general - SUMMER VACATION edition
Best league, best sport
yankees
>the good, the bad, the ugly
Perfect, except one hesitates to call any ninny league team good
jays luck in safeco isnt much better than in the Trop tbqh
doesnt matter how many fans show up, not sure why they would bother at this point. The L's come hard and fast here
>arcade league blew a 3-1 lead
Ahahahahahah
For me, it's the Cleveland Kipnises
In b4 Mariners anime guy, Royals Pants guy, Phillies whatever the fuck that thing is guy and a shit ton of lifelong casual Astros "fans".
Then fuck off back to canada and stop watching the MARINERS!
>Ninny League had to go to extra innings of game seven play against the most injured team in World Series history that wasn't supposed to get swept and wasn't supposed to make it out of the DS
Did the Cubbies bandwagon come back?
still cant beat us in our house either bitch
just try shit with us and get rekt worst coaster
strategy>old/fat mashers who can't play the field
No one cares about toronto desu
The wrong city lost its team if this is the fanbase we were left with
For me, its the Cleveland WINDIANS
But then your franchise would fold like your sad supersonics. Not like you have gotten any ticket sales in the playoffs for the past couple decades.
>
Yeah. He looks graceful, just like a professional athlete should. I'm surprised he didn't keel over and collapse of cardiac arrest.
>Adam Engel sent down
Goodbye 80 grade speed, see you again in september.
For me, it's the Cleveland Slamtanas
4th place behind the Marlins and Braves
He was hitting well too. Not sure why they sent him back down. I guess we need more BP due to the BP our starters throw out there.
Rebuilding is sad, not as sad as actually trying to win and failing horribly like the last 6 seasons though but still sad.
It's called a memeji
actually, it's an Awoo, but who cares, really?
I wonder which Gio Gonzolez will show up?
Effectively wild or just wild wild.
>Canada talking shit about revenue
>Mariners 2016 revenue 289 million
>Blue Jays 2016 revenue 278 million
Even with playoff games the jays made less money. Really makes you think
Over our last 10 games, our starters have averaged 4.1 innings. In only one of those games did a starter go 6 innings.
really what else did we expect from reclamation projects and spot starters? though Q sucking is extra sad.
Bring big game james or petricka back up?
Shields is recovering from his injury still.
>replica jersey day (courtesy of Discount Drug Mart)
Nice
Just googled it, Petricka got called back up
jpetty did come back up
hes rusty as hell and got battered yesterday
I'd make a game thread but
>rags
Just make a thread
No thanks. I can see in to the future.
>rags
>good
Pretty sure AZ is good in this scenario, which must be true because apparently McCain stayed up late watching them and that's why he vomited word salad on Comey.
>17 games today
>nats
Will Aaron's career RBIs record ever be broken?
>ninny league has three teams below .400
yes
By whom?
SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY.
Is this Hunter Green kid THAT good, ala face of the franchise superstar or is he pretty equal in terms of other top ends in this draft and years prior?
I was reading an article and was like "holy shit, fuck yeah!" until I got to the meat of the story: 'a socially conscious black American to be the new face of baseball'
I immediately can't help to think that he's getting pushed hard by media such as ESPN because this outlandish "we need more BBC in baseball REEEEE" trend
Judge
Me
Please. His giant body is going to break down before 2020, starting with his knees this year or next.
Trout is still young enough to do it once he gets traded to a team that can get runners on ahead of him
Who's Will Aaron?
Unironically, Bryce Harper
Hank Aaron you silly goose
Thanks everyone.
mest-barves game 1
No problem : )
>Sonny Gray is an Ac-
>jose de leon - 6.75 MiLB ERA, 10.13 MLB ERA
>injured
>jharel cotton - 5.2 MLB ERA
Are the Dodgers the smartest FO in the league? How do teams keep falling for this.
The New York Yankees have a solid, all around good team
pitching sucks
*eats your sandwich*
2nd best ERA in the majors. Best in AL.
Newcomb is going to be GOAT
>jasy
Severino has a 2.90 ERA
Archer is not an ace
Reminder that Fulmer's arm is a ticking time bomb and is liable to have a career as derailed as Jarrod Parker's before 2020
>Fulmer's arm is a ticking time bomb
no shit
-cident.
Justin Smoak is a legit MVP candidate.
I just want to upset that leaf.
If he was still a Met, his arm would have been amputated by now
Phillies @ Tardinals
Lillies @ Cardinals
Get me the Joba stats for his career, I'll teach Alex a lesson here
>rags
For me, it's Matt Albers.
cubs rocks
you now remember rocko baldelli
*rocco
wasn't he an injury prone piece of shit?
yes
I actually dont
...
*strikes out the side*
>there's a new big sexy in town
The Yankees will win 6 straight World Series starting this year. In 2019 they will sign Bryce Harper, Shohei Otani, and Jose Fernandez's corpse.
...
just
Yeah? So?
That's what he gets for being one dimensional.
The shift killed baseball. Manfred needs to institute a rule where there can only be two infielders on either side of second base.
There is no stopping us.
Fuck that. Learn to hit the ball the other way.
2 IP 1H 4SO
*you gonna eat that?*
>guaranteed Rape
spread the power of the arrow
That's not how today's game works. Most players are taught to swing for the fences which means they're taught to be pull hitters all their lives. Making it so there can only be two infielders on either side of second base, before the ball is put in play by the batter, would alleviate these problems by keeping potential infield holes, while still allowing defenses to still cover base hits up the middle.
>fielders should be forced to accomodate hitters getting worse
That's not how anything works
Quit fucking with the game. It was fine the way it was
>instant replay
>ruined the IBB
>can't break up double plays anymore
>no home plate collisions
>DH
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>can't break up double plays anymore
This needs to be dropped more than anything
