oh idk really, maybe you'd like this: youtube.com/watch?v=N8QYxKy8uvs

thanks, will listen

you need god

Roast me lads

exceedingly nu-male

Just because most of my top 100 are more well known, it doesn't mean that I mostly listen to popular music

yes it does? You're really dumb

hi?

Pascal Comelade - l'Argot du bruit

No, it just means that what I like the most of what I listen to is well known, there's a reason most of that is well known. I've listened to quite a few albums that I got for 25 cents at my record store, some of which I can't find on RYM or anywhere else online. I listen to them, but they aren't top 100 worthy.

Is Lulu not absolute shit?

it is not, unless you're Rolling Stone or some grumpy Metallica purist

please excuse my shit taste, feel free to suggest ways to improve it

I've heard that it's shit from both Metallica and Lou Reed fans, but I'm going to have to give it a try since I love both

It's easily the best thing either have done for me (though the power gap between it and some of the rest of their discog is significantly larger for metallica)
Bowie was right in calling Lulu a masterpiece

>currents
I really don't get why people like this album. Cool chart though. Do you listen to any techno/house like stuff? I've been trying to find more of that but I'm at a loss where to go seeing as how many of those artists don't really do albums.

>Satie
my nigga.

Lulu is fantastic and so is this guy's chart.

there he is...

What's that Grand East album like?

not all choices I can agree with, but some albums there I'm surprised to ever see on a chart. you're p cool

Nice Snarky Puppy m8
great live band, saw them not less than a few months ago, grooviest night of the summer

It's everything I want from a bluesrock album. Sounds like a party, really awesome vocals, and has really nice pacing. I'm a huge pleb though so beware

Jealous AF. The live recording I have of them sounds like exactly the kind of concert I'd die to go to. Really chill stuff.
Did see Bonobo live in February, with his Migration release tour, and I'd recommend going to see him too. That dude has some insane talent. He seems to tour pretty rarely though :/

There I am.
Thanks, my man.

and them selling great soundboard recordings of every single show they do is something every touring band should do, for real. Having a download to relive the night later on is amazing

jacques brel + xenakis + nicki minaj in top 15... patrician and eclectic!

hello

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing
Robert Ashley - Private Parts

Anyone who recs Private Parts is my soulmate

do you like uhhhh Adrian Belew's Side One?

...

You seem a little frustrated.

Get a bit more variety mate... anyway, some recs
Yuck - self titled
Polvo - In Prism

You probably already heard of them, but considering your chart I'd expected to see: Royal Blood - self titled

Dwarves - Thank Heaven For Little Girls
The Legendary Pink Dots - Shadow Weaver
UFO - Flying 2: Flying
Kyuss - Welcome to the Sky Valley
Guru Guru - UFO

Zao - Z=7L
hey it's been a while doods

I like Zao, though I'd rank Yoch'ko's best solo things above it

Nice job reccing Kyuss to the guy with Kyuss at his #1 on his chart. Epic recs.

shut your mouth faggot

nice chart, what did you think about utopia?
trementina - almost reach the sun

きのこ帝国 - eureka

Fishmans - 98.12.28 Otokotachi no Wakare

Flotation Toy Warning - The Bluffer's Guide to the Flight Deck

holy fuck are you me aged 19/20 or what

For electronic, go for Burial, Justice, Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, and more Bjork

For post punk/alternative, listen to The Pixies, Modest Mouse, Joy Division, and Radiohead

Other genres you need to listen to more of are jazz (Ah Um, A Love Supreme, Kind of Blue are the Holy Trinity for me), post rock (The Seer, Agaetis Byrjun, Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven), prog rock (any King Crimson), metal (Metallica, Atheist), and just listen to The Velvet Underground and Nico

If you want to check out more trip hop, listen to Histoire de Melody Nelson, which is basically proto trip hop

And obviously, listen to more Talking Heads (I fucking love Naked, but most people would point you towards the other Eno albums)

This is ironic, right?

helps if i add my own chart tho, pls recc. this is while i've been travelling/living overseas.

if you're into the stoner/desert rock sort of stuff i'd probably rec Intronaut (bit more metal tho), Sungrazer (nice fuzzy warm sounds, like latter day kyuss) and probably some Mt. Mountain

dunno why it would be, pretty solid recommendations really

ah i see the proles are wallowing in their own filth as usual
allow me to grace this thread with my presence in hopes that some of you may see the light

Stephan Micus - Implosions

You have good taste in music, my dude.
And I'm totally not just saying that because you have some of my favorite albums on there.

This is more accurate, im 21 years.
Used to smoke a shitton of weed, but i've been off it for a month now, waiting for the stoner music to get worse, but its not..

...

...

About halfway through Satekoso right now. Damn good rec, thanks!

No problem. It's still on my backlog personally, I have it dl'd from sslk but I'm busy listening to other stuff to delve deeper into the japanese art pop/shugazi void

That name...

No
Thank you
I listen to a lot of psychedelic and stoner music, and haven't taken drugs once, without me feeling like I'd enjoy it more. From my experience, it's not music for psychedelics or being stoned, it's music that feels like you're on psychedelics or stoned while staying sober

I was always a Floyd head, even before all the drugs. :)

...

Turned 21 yesterday
