You could also try subdividing into 2 sets of 3/4 and 1 of 4/4, so basically counting >one two three one two three one two three four which will count out 10 beats as 2 bars of 5/4, though with specific emphasis on beats 1, 4, and 7. You could try putting emphasis on other beats for different feelings. A song I'd highly recommend to get into the groove of it would be Tool's The Grudge.
