Ywn be in your 20s in early 90s Seattle

>ywn be in your 20s in early 90s Seattle

thank god

That'd mean you'd be in your mid-40s now

No thanks

>drug addicts and nirvana knock off bands out of the ass
vs
>hipsters and occasional immigrants looking to rob you

cant be sure if Id rather be in 90s Seattle or modern Seattle

I'm a construction worker in my 20 in seattle. Shits pretty cool bruh

confirmed for never having seen the movie

comfiest film I've seen all year and rewatchability is off the charts. probably because Cameron Crowe soundtracks are god-tier

Why would I want to live in a socialist hellhole?

Even if you were things wouldn't be any different, you'd still be a pathetic autist wasting your life in your bedroom.

>major U.S. city
>socialist

pick fewer than two, faggot

you're confusing socialism with progressive environmental attitudes

Also sometimes bellevue. You really can't beat the view.

NYC looked comfy in the 80s and 90s too, doesnt mean it was

it was a fucking madhouse back then. when i was a kid, mom mom and dad went to go buy drugs at her friends in soho. i was told to stay in the car, till they got high and remembered where the door was, what it was for, and how t oget out of it.

i saw 4 different muggings, a dude walking around the street in just his socks, his 2x4, and a smile singing opera and smashing peoples windows out at redlights and pulling them out of the car and beating and robbing them.

there were lots of naked people running around at night for it being march in new york.

and it Giuliani introducing a police state that finally ended that shit
no its all gentrified and full if liberal hipsters, who ironically want to have more culture brought in despite sitting pretty in their little bubbles

yeah my cousins told me about it after i went to live with my dad in 93. the NYPD were always dicks, but they said they got full on SS officers screaming WHERE ARE YOUR JUDEN BURGERMEISTER!!! if they thought they could get a penny out of you or wanted to make an example. they were utterly untouchable, and it got a million times worse after 9-11.

my cousin nicky says newark and jersey is more like the old days when we were little kids in the city. i havent been there in over 20 years, and dont really plan to anytime soon.

That fascism saw the murder rate cut by 75 to 80%

hey if it did, it did. my memories of the city are hellish and almost like the arkham asylum games. i was stuck around junkies and lowlives at night, in shitty parts of town that were full of rats and roaches.

if they wouuld have ran half the shitheads there into an oven, and chased that with the slumlords for letting the city rot, good for them.

the NYPD didnt do it out of hte goodness of their hearts though. they did it because they were terrified of the FBI coming in and finding all the bodies, and dirt from the past 100 or so years, and even more their money they socked away.

the NYPD was famous for hiring saidists and psychotics who thought it was fun to do whatever they wanted, the law be damned. half the fuking hijackings my uncles would do were facilitated by nypd, and had cops on the robbery crews.

You can see the exact moment Giuliani went all Charles Bronson on their asses

But I was. Overrated.

seattleite here, it's OK
people aren't boisterous (which I enjoy) but the city is extremely liberal, has a number of weirdos, and has a really bad homeless problem

>nyc in the 80s
>comfy

kek

pretty much. like i said, my memories are mostly of this scary dark fucked up place with crazy ass people doing crazy shit.

the summer of 87 i was 8 and my folks disappeared for the summer and left me at someone they did drugs with who promptly kicked me out. there was a building up in harlem where it had no occupants, but before they were going to do demo, that had dozens of kids running around fucking shit up, with no parents.

there were shitloads of creepy ass pedos that would offer money and food and pills to us, boy or girl, didnt matter. i was good at stealing from shoprite, and the candy stores. after a week i got tired of the whole deal, and smuggled my ass down to the shore where my moms people were from.

i could have easily lived there for a while, since i had no fear of god or man, and could live on nearly nothing.
