Hey guys just wanted to Start a new trend, I'm looking to get as much feedback as I can on my new song, any feedback is great feedback! I will be returning all comments left on Soundcloud. Be sure to hit that like and follow button if you like what you hear, I have a new EP coming out fairly soon! Thank you in advance!
im not the biggest Hip-hop fan but its definitely better than Lil Pump, etc. It really reminds me of the 90's though, like maybe Nas vibes, maybe a little bit of Lupe in it as well. Super positive lyrics. i wouldnt say its the most unique or original sounding to start a trend or wave but nothing is completely new

My latest solo track with a crazy keyboard solo not done by me
I really wanted to like it since there's not a lot of anything even remotely industrial sounding in these threads but it's just too poppy for me. It kind of seems like the part that's actually industrial's tacked on to the "whoo moody synths and clean vocals" part. Needless to say I'm not a fan of combining the two in general.
V I O L E N C E ! ! ! This shit's intense, catchy and harsh. Just the way I like it. Absolutely love the vocals, the only change I'd make is go for a more industrial percussion, but that's simply a matter of taste. Excellent track, going to check out the rest of your stuff for sure.
Cool, thanks for the rec, it's pretty good actually. Your track is more laid back and has different vibes, hearing the original place you sampled from give it a different perspective and I like it more now.
Extremely dark, and really like the shifts it makes, vocals are also just perfect for the mood of the track. Replay value is high on this one. Already familiar with these guys, recommend.
Always see your stuff on hear man, i think your production is very neat! Your vocals sound very warm as well! What are you using to record your vox?
Dude! Love the sounds! The progression of the song is off the chain it feels like I am being slowly pushed toward something... very unique almost Spanish? Latin? influenced guitar work.
Love the drums, early 90s electronic sounding. sampled vocals sounded great! Great drive and use of breaks. I'm a fan, one of the more unique sounds i've heard here.
This is insane, lyrics remind me of beefheart. Guitar breaks are so sweet! Are you paying homage to sun-ra or unaware of the correlation?
You arent very good at producing or whoever is cannot hook up samples to time signatures. The beat is too abstract and whoever is rapping is extremly uninterested in rapping

>soundcloud.com/90sneptune/1989a Dude fuck you! Yeah it's Sup Forums and you can say whatever you want, but you don't know how long some of these people have worked on their music. Everybody has to start somewhere, give some constructive criticism! Try not to berate people for sharing their handcrafted music, that's not why we are here. Don't listen to this fool you sound like a young Egyptian lover, stop smoking pot.
Mini rant. I've just checked out like 5 or 6 soundclouds which were great but not a single one had any way to contact the musician. I'm not gonna sign up (and neither will music producers) to soundcloud just to get your attention. Always have your email somewhere on your page. >implying anyone cares what I think
go on, tell me what an idiot I'm being Is there something I'm overlooking?

I think most of us are just making music for fun lad.

Thanks for the crit man, I implore you to listen to 3:08 onwards that's where you'll find the choatic industrial noise. The first half is kind of alternative rock.
I listened to Rush Vomit, it's a got a very retro video game boss fight style I dig it. The breakdown is nice then it goes back into it. It's a bit like if Ministry were put into Pokemon. I think the main riff does become a bit repetitiveI would have hoped it would change somewhat towards the end but overall it's a cool style

You could just reply on here you know.

Shades of pink is heavy man, really crushing noise, the drums relief it very nicely. I dig the beat you've got. The progressions and samples you use are crazy where on earth you get them from? I like the come down at the ending.
Also thanks for the feedback on my track!
Jonathan Long
'Do you feel alone' has a really cool style some nice beats and synths. The sample is cool too. I like the brevity of it too for some reason. Good job!
Keep meaning to ask you, how do you create such beautiful instrumentals (not to discredit your vocals at all)? Do you write the barebones of the music and put it together or what's the process?
I'd recc up for air again because it's such a good tune.

>I implore you to listen to 3:08 onwards that's where you'll find the choatic industrial noise.
Don't worry, I did. That's the part I enjoyed. Are you planning to make more industrial stuff in the future or are you going to be focusing on alt rock?
>I think the main riff does become a bit repetitiveI would have hoped it would change somewhat towards the end
Oh shit, actual feedback! Many thanks. I was wondering whether or not I kind of overdid it near the end, so it's good to hear something about it.
Juan Carter
Thank you, I'm really glad you like it! >The progressions and samples you use are crazy where on earth you get them from? Depends, some of them are really obvious (the Bungle one for instance, which was the point), and some of them are really just me messing with a Cage piece, but there are layers upon layers of samples. Any simple sound with the "right treatment" and effects could be useful, that's the way I approach it. Doesn't work 100 % of the time obviously, but it's a good point of reference.

yeah but then everything said is public and prone to trolls being trolls yeah I get that, there's just some cool tracks in this thread that I want to use in a video
Liam Morgan
I plan on doing more industrial stuff, I kind of bounce between both genres, Dissolve was probably too radical a combo but there's a few other industrial tracks I want to finish.
Dylan Rivera
Fucking awesome, loving your album out there
Camden Johnson
I really don't think there are a lot of trolls in these threads. You could ask someone for contact info if you're very paranoid.
>Smokepurpp ft. Travis Scott 'fingers blue' remix >very dreamy >chill vibe >trap
Leave a like/comment I always check back and give critique

This track is really great dude!

Sometimes, but not as much as I used to, because I don't have a straight-forward approach to sampling anymore. I'd suggest to just experiment with things you haven't experimented before, you might benefit greatly from them.
I usually start with an idea - a phrase that had some kind of merit to it after an aha moment either noodling on guitar or playing a synth. Record that little part, loop it, and try to build off of it. Figure out whether this is a verse section or chorus section, then try and write the opposite.
Typically it goes synth phrase -> basic beat -> bassline -> lead melody -> harmonies -> ambient stuff. Vocals are dead last. I like the instrumental to be fairly along in the process before thinking about vocals unless an idea comes to me.
This track was different in that the drums came much later than normal because I wanted to record acoustic drums instead of electronic. Vocals came two days before I released it (on Sunday).
I record a sloppy original (i.e. might be slightly rushing or dragging, but the general idea is there and it's listenable), then re-record and refine as I go along until I'm happy where it sounds.
