why not?

Somebody please give me good country or alt-country recs. I love Jason Molina and The Magnolia Electric Co.

It's okay brood. I don't either.
Country is the only genre I absolutely fucking hate.
It's mainly because of the awful accents and repetitive/boring lyrics & chord progressions.

It's just a very lazy genre for hicks imo

muh truck

muh good ol' boys

>chord progressions
underage detected

>he doens't like jason aldean

These brainlet macros usually just make me roll my eyes but I'm laughing hysterically at this one. Thanks OP.

I'm a country pleb but check out the older stuff, it's almost like a different genre. Really portrayed a longing and sadness that modern pop country doesn't

Should I take a few shots before I listen to this?

16 Horsepower is the answer for everyone who says they hate country

...

>CANTRRRRYYYYYYYY ROOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAADDDDDD

The only country I really like is early seventies Grateful Dead. Even then it really has a folk-rock and psychedelic bent.

>TAKE ME HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME

>music ed major
>3 years of music theory
fuck off

If all you've heard is top 40 pop-rock country you shouldn't like it.

Country road take me home is unironically a good song.

Yeah but John Denver is folk

More points to him then.

>thinking you need music college to know anything about chord progressions
