Based as fuck desu

Go back to /his/ where your flag isn't visible and you'd get more bites.

True that.

Okay. A blue wolf took as his spouse, a fallow doe. And the two bred at the head of the Onan river. Thus, the Mongols were born...

>conquering a bunch of spear-chucking natives with muskets
what a superhuman feat

>Whenever America enters an "Empire" thread and posts a map showing their military bases or some other dumb shit

cringe tbqh lad. I know it sucks you missed out and can't shitpost about "muh empire" but this is embarassing.

Iceland used to be Ottoman?

What's truly embarrassing is how you're letting your people lose their pride in the British Empire and replacing it with shame.

If it's so easy why did nobody else do it as well?

It may actually amaze you to learn mongol that pretty much every Empire in history was created by a vastly superior army conquering a weaker one.

its like watching a multimillionaire popstar lose it all and end up in a gutter with heroin needles sticking out

Delusional

Empire? Thats a hive.

Yeah, it was called Icy Ösmania

>ITT: we talk about the greatest empire in history.

That would be the Spanish Empire or the Mongol Empire, then.

No, those borders are not remotely accurate.
It's a bloated map that shows basically every piece of land where a Turk ever set foot as being part of the Ottoman territory.

It's used to trigger /his/ pretty frequently.

Stay mad, plebeians.

>implying roman empire for its time wasnt the greatest

You could've still had it all, and more, but you decided to be a kike instead and keep fight Hitler.

You've earned this yourself.

you the one that is in a sharia zone m9-1

The Mongol Empire is the greatest meme in history. It was a bunch of empty fucking land conquered by a warlord who used one incredibly effective tactic, the horse archers/false retreat.

The Mongols did zero actual Empire building. If you want to say something other than Britain the only option you have is Roman.

It was the greatest for it's time. Not all time.

Post anti-Turkroach quotes:

"They [the Ottomans] were, upon the whole, from the black day when they first entered Europe, the one great anti-human specimen of humanity. Wherever they went, a broad line of blood marked the track behind them, and, as far as their dominion reached, civilization disappeared from view. They represented everywhere government by force, as opposed to government by law." William Gladstone

It's not British Empire on the map, mate. You used wrong pic.

in relative terms it was the greatest

"The barbarian power, which has been for centuries seated in the very heart of the Old World, which has in its brute clutch the most famous countries of classical and religious antiquity and many of the most fruitful and beautiful regions of the earth ... ignorantly holding in its possession one half of the history of the whole world."

Cardinal Newman

"I wish fervently that the Turkish barbarians be chased away immediately out of the country [Greece] of Xenophon, Socrates, Plato, Sophocles and Euripides. If we wanted, it could be done soon but seven crusades of superstition have been undertaken and a crusade of honour will never take place. We know almost no city built by them; they let decay the most beautiful establishments of Antiquity, they reign over ruins." Voltaire

In terms of its impact and legacy it definitely is the greatest.

Great =/= giant fucking blobby borders. If that were the case Russia would be the greatest country on earth.

But you failed like massive cucks

>talking about all time
>yeah but for these guys time they were great

Done being retarded yet?

...

Largest contiguous land empire in history. It's either the greatest or second greatest empire of all time. Greatest amount of territory = greatest.

>mongols did zero actual empire building

This is one of the most ignorant uninformed things i've ever heard

They are literally the reason europe learned anything about the east and they opened up trade that bridged the east and west. After their conquests they managed to implement the fastest courier system at the time and for a long time after. They were also very religiously tolerant and large supporters of education and schools. Also the mongols integrated with the cultures they conquered and went from being mongols to actually being parts of the dynasties in areas like China and Central Asia.

>Iceland used to be Ottoman?
Really makes you think

its called in relative terms ya douche, for the knowledge of the world and technological/architectural advances it was the greatest...

The Mongols conquered the Abbasid and the Russians and the Chinese and the Byzantine. They also connected all of Eurasia in a way that avoided religious conflicts and without globalization. Checkmate faggot

>Territory of the Tang Dynasty
How can empirelets like rome and the ottomans even compete

British Empire was best. They left the most first world countries in their wake.

The Spaniards, Portuguese, and Ottomans left a bunch of shitholes.

the ottoman empire was one of the most useless empires in history. it accomplished nothing.

Go to a random american on the street.

Ask them what ancient empires they know about.

Everyone will say Rome, not a single person will say Tang Dynasty

Thats a silly post and you should feel bad about it.

>le Mongols united the silk road meme and were super duper tolerant!

Hello John Green!

Uniting the Silk Road and securing a safe passage of trade towards Europe was a by-product of their conquests, it wasn't something they intentionally set out to do or something they made themselves. They just placed the thing under one ruler and made it stable big fucking deal.

They were Religiously tolerant out of neccessity, not because they were super enlightened liberals like Mr Trudeau, so why is that important? They let people be and just demanded tribute because they knew they were powerless to convert everyone in their massive territory

The legacy of the Mongol Empire is fucking Mongolia, an irrelevant landlocked nation in Asia that does nothing of any value. That in itself is an achievement seeing as the idea of "Mongols" didn't even exist until Genghis, but it can't be compared to the likes of the Romans or the Europeans.

If the knowledge of an empire isn't universally known then it wasn't that great now was it?

The mongols actually formed long lasting dynasties all over asia, mongolia was and still is shit but the mongols themselves continued to rule all over asia and central asia and cement their legacy by creating powerful families and dynasties. They were the first true globalized empire

they also left the most cucked countries...enjoying your refugees m8?

Ask any stranger on the street is the roman empire still alive today? Huh thats right whiteboi China can wipe europe off the face of the map with a lift of a finger if you werent uncle sam's prison bitch

We're talking about the Mongol Empire here, not the Mughals or any of that shit, or some ruler in China who was Genghis' rape baby.

Those things can't be attributed as achievements to the Mongols, they were just things that happened as a consequence of the Mongols. The Mongols left a large influence sure, but not really anything useful or culturally significant. Just a lot of death and a lot of rape over a very large area. No great works of art, no new political ideas, no great philosophers or inventors.

Nothing.

Just as the Russians did to you.

But that's what the mongols did, they influenced and created these massive empires that lasted way longer than the mongolian empire itself. A bunch of shitty poor as fuck steppe nomads managed to conquer vast swathes of the world in some of the most advanced regions and they managed to hold that land, integrate with the locals, spread trade, technology and language and form dynasties that lasted hundreds of years. Mongolia itself might be shit but that's the same as saying Rome is shit just because Italy sucks, Rome was much more than just Italy.

they did fuck up the sandniggers so bad they never recovered.

Yes, the actual conquests themselves are amazing and Genghis is probably the most alpha male who ever lived. But the actual Empires created by him and his descendents just aren't worthy of being spoken in the same breath as Rome.

Having a long lasting bloodline that gets passed around between various rapey conquerors in Asia just doesn't match up to setting up a civilisation that would sow the seeds of all Western nations.

Needed some cringe, thanks

Pretty funny tbqh.

>Send envoy to Persia asking to be friends
>They send his head back in a box
>Get so mad you decide to conquer everyone in the Middle East.

Sorry I couldn't make you out, could you speak a little clearer Paco?

They weren't roman tier but they really were the first globalized empire that had the ability to spread information in so many different languages and connect so many different cultures from all across the world. Peoples and cultures who never even knew about one another were connected. Europeans had never traveled to asia and come back before the mongols, if it wasn't for them the spread of information and technology to europe would have never happened, you could even argue that europe would has been irrelevant and the middle east and china would have become super powers instead.

They went to Baghdad which was the biggest city in the world outside of china, a massive center of innovation and some of the brightest minds in the world. It was estimated that the mongols killed up to 2 million people in just that city, they destroyed the canals and filled irrigation ditches up so they couldn't be used. The city took hundreds of years to recover.

but that isn't the glorious Roman Empire OP

yo dat's cause nobody likes ching chongs

Makes me sad that Britain couldn't hold on to their empire after the World Wars. We could have run this shit together and turned the world into a true Anglosphere (or at least an Anglo elliptical spheroid). It would have been glorious. Globalism with our nations in charge is the only kind I'd ever want.

>all shit countries
The greatest empire was either the Roman or the British.

The Persian empire is overlooked, but it was a great rival to the Greeks and Romans.

You want him to say it in Arabic?

Shame barely anything is known about them besides a few greek historians talking about them and they were very biased for reasons

>litle to no art worth preserving

lolno, go ask your goat's son for some advice before you post again, mehmet
This right here. Huge territorial gains, some of the greatest art the world has ever known, and four of its former colonies are now first world. Puts cuckroaches to shame
Yes, but they were competing with European powers to do it.

Saddest demise ever. Kekd by ww1, eurofags and it's own people.

Tang dynasty isn't comparable to Rome.

also
>small nose on turk
>white skin on turk
nice try mehmet

Ay thanks for the flag, fag.

>A FUCKING ROACH

>poortugal literally got BTFO by pooinloos over goa
shiggy diggy my white friend

We had it for some 400 years, they were never a problem
Ultimately the stupid britcucks decided to unleash the hostile poo and betrayed us

lol

The earth is an oblate spheroid, dumbass

What the fuck? They have internet in papua new guinea? Y'all niggers barely even have paved roads.

>implying roads

Not true. The Silk Road existed since Persian times and Sino-Roman relations existed almost a thousand years before the Mongols. One error was that the Chinese thought the capital of Rome was in Syria, but it was just a provincial capital. How do you think the Byzantines had silk worms in the 6th century? Monks smuggled them back. There have been ships wrecks off the coast of eastern India due to pooicanes that were Roman ships. Plenty of Roman coins have been found in ancient China. Google anything I said, it's all there.

We wuz kings n shiet

Honestly it must feel so horrible to be American, imagine your country only being an actual country for one hundred years. no history, no culture and nothing to be proud of. Americans will never enjoy the feeling of being rich with history and culture.

AYYYYYY
PLS

>Byzantine
no they didn't the Eastern Roman Empire was already a shadow of what it had been at the Macedonian Apogee, but outside of one port city the Mongols never conquered the Romans and mostly they were allies.

Pinche puto

Read a book they are bunch of cucked fucks who could not raise taxes from peasants.

Go to a random american about anything before 2001 and they won't know.

Nice try, Turdogan.

Stop it Juan

>rich with history and culture.

Is that mean't to be a response to the fact you have no history and culture? how does this prove that we don't have history or culture?

>WE KHALIF NOW

Jar jar binks?

Didn't the chinks get conquered and raped by the horse riding nomads like 50 times?

Damn, I hadn't heard that one before. Thank you for your simpleton cliches senpai

Honestly, it must be so horrible to be British. Imagine, having been one of the greatest countries of the world, being reduced to a principality of America, not only politically, but culturally.

>uploading the wrong picture
Here's the greatest empire in the history. Great Serbia!
