Never understood that way of thinking. Before the first Avatar there was no Avatar at all and it still broke records. Why would the fact that Avatar 2 comes nine years after the first one be a problem? If the movie is great it doesn't matter if 2 years or 2 decades passed since the first one you dumb kid.
