>movie is below 200 minutes
unacceptable

>movie isnt a flickino

>Movie is under 400 minutes

>movie requires me to read

>the run time isn't a prime number

>movie is longer than 90 minutes.

unnecessary.

>movie isn't between 88 and 100 minutes

>white woman doesn't have a black male love interest

I'm glad white people are dying out in the US.

> Lipsmacking nigger
> Existing without white people

>movie stars a white cis-male

>thanksgiving at my aunt's place
>cousins are watching Love Actually for some reason
>"This movie is so long how can anyone stand it?"
>2 hours, 16 minutes

are plebs really this impatient? I watched the director's cut of Gettysburg the other day and that was 271 minutes long

Oh yeah?
I watched the American true kino Empire by Warhol.
In one sitting

>pacing of the movie is so shoddy that a 2 hour movie feels an hour drawn out, when the story itself is supposed to take place over a couple days

The Flick Awakens felt like it as directed by a 6th year kid in his first video class

It's a question of genre. That's not long for a war movie but it's long for a romantic comedy.

I think 90 minutes is usually slightly overlong, especially these days.

>More than 3 characters

Sorry I forgot to bring my corkboard to the theater so I can keep track of all this shit.

>movie is 7 hours 12 minutes long

>cousins are watching Love Actually for some reason
Maybe because Love Actually is a pretty good film. To be fair, for it's genre 146 minutes is fairly long.

that's why i always bring my notepad to the kinorama. helps me analyze the movie better as well. I recommend it.

>movie is longer than 30 minutes

wtf im not here for a marathon

The only media you can enjoy is Sartre's No Exit and The Quiet Earth?

They confiscated my notepad :^(

demand picture of said cousins

>RLM didn't review the film so you don't know if you liked it or not

>"Oh hey user, what was that movie you were telling me about? put it on and watch it with us!"

>Movie isn't a 14, 24 or 44 minute episode

>not using 1.3x for all movies
it's like you enjoy pain

Uhhh o-o-okay

>100 days of sodom

kek

>they're all white

honest to god my dude I'd turn 360 degrees and walk away

>movie is 6 hours long

oh good, you brought your notepads

Jesus Christ, that picture is creepy as fuck.

>movie is over 120 minutes long
>not a single sex scene and no one dies

>sex scenes aren't unsimulated

i know this is a meme, but the truth is, very few filmmakers can sustain a good enough pace or narrative for a film over 2 hours.

the godfather would have been a much better film if they cut it to a cool 105 mins

>puts on Andrei Rublev

kek. fucking dumb whores. enjoy

It's true. The Godfather is a shadow of the great gangster films of the 30s, none of which were anything like as long.

>movie is 2hrs
>feels like ten hours of torture due to bad acting, bad directing, bad audio mixing, bad literally every single thing

I have never felt more abused than after seeing Battlefield Earth the first time. I think forcing people to watch it falls under cruel and unusual punishment, possibly war crime done to enemy POWs.

Is it just me or have movies become longer on average? It used to be 90-100 minutes for a lot of them, now most seem to be 110-130.

>trailer says "as inspirational as Rocky"

By what measure is the Godfather comparable with the pre-code gangster films?

>Based on a true story

im pretty sure that's an old copypasta.

>active thread
>post in it
>it dies
evertim

>He isn't watching Logistics by Erika Magnusson and Daniel Andersson.
True kino.

>movie is longer than it takes to read the summary

whats the point then? i just wanna know what happens lol not some nerd story

It's true, there are trends in these things. In the 30s, movies were more often around 75-80 minutes, and that was the peak era for commercial movies.

It's about gangsters.

A one-line copypasta? No, I'm saying it now.

>movie was bad

>2 pleb for short films

this happened to me

>movie starts with people speaking a foreign language

That film is extremely performance and drama driven. Cutting any of it would kill the tension and make the performances far less effective.

>watching anything

>movie is American
>more than half of it isn't in English

s

>she doesn't let the boy watch

>movie is under 4 hours long

>movie doesn't have Jewish influence

>movie is almost 6 hours and not in english

>movie doesn't come with a perfectly synced .srt subtitle file

just make your own pleb.

>porno flick isn't 4k and 60fps

>movie is actually a porno music video i made out of facial abuse and kink.com scenes and not a copy of kxubo i planned to play for, the family after dinner

>movie is just this for 2 hours

>movie is paced or engaging enough that you don't even realize it's nearly three hours until you finished it

Had this reaction with

>tfw my shitty laptop is too weak to handle 4k videos
just fuck my shit up senpai

But how can you get enough light? Do you go to the special screening for autistic people??

i turn my helmet light on really quick while im writing then turn it off. usually the usher won't even notice and I don't get too many complaints when the theater is half empty.

>writer and director aren't the same person

TDKR

Name one flick.

...

end yourself

>I watched the director's cut of Gettysburg
I am jelly user, I hear the blueray added a lot of minutes, I used to have that movie in 2 or 3 VHS that I would watch on a projector with my father, worth it.
I wonder if I can find a good "ahr ahr."

>movie doesn't have "two thumbs up!" quote on cover

>book is 300 pages long
>movie is 7 hours long
>1 hour covers about 40 pages

Jesus, all that fucking filler.

is that a tac-light?

>>cousins are watching Love Actually for some reason
because it's kino you faggot

What is this movie about?

imdb.com/title/tt2355497/faq?ref_=tt_faq_1#.2.1.1

>What is this movie about?

>This film is one of four parts in Chinese Artist Ai Weiwei's documentary series on social and political activism. It consists of long shots showing the city of Beijing from the point of view of a passenger in a car. Production began on Saturday October 18th, 2003, below the Dabeiyao highway interchange, and ended on Monday, November 3rd, 2003, finishing below the Dabeiyao highway interchange as a finale, after covering 2,400 kilometers (1491 miles) and recording 150 hours of footage.
I can see why the PRC jailed this pretentious douchebag.

The perfect length for a film is 2 hours and 30 mins

This is objectively true

maybe im autism but i honestly have no idea what movie i would put on in a situation like this

>he will never enjoy Das Boot

>movie is in a foreign language with subtitles

2001

The Notebook

bitches be so thirsty by the end they'll be fighting over me.

You're not alone guys :'(

>movie isn't constantly produced at the moment of viewing and forever streamed to the theater

>female characters discuss how gross uncut cocks are

Grand Budapest hotel

Trust me, bitches love that.

It's quirky and colorful enough to keep their attention

just put some marvel shit

>movie is long but has a perfectly placed intermission

Nah, your just autistic

>not knowing all languages

>not knowing what silent films are
