Would this still have received 5 Oscar wins and 2 more nominations if it were released today? What would other critics think of it?

It'd be considered generic compared to thrillers today thanks to its own influence.
Watched this on VHS last week. Still holds up well today, but people want more jumpscares instead of getting extremely uncomfortable anymore.

but why
why did they keep spider man in jail?
I'm autistic.
Because he didn't stop 9/11.
That's way hotter in the porn parody, she tastes the cum with a really slutty look on her face.
kek
If it were made today the movie would be called transphobic and protested by liberals.
It mainly won because even though the Oscars hate horror films, they hate Disney/animation/PG rated films even more. 1991 was overall a shit year for films. Now there are plenty of movies coming out that fit the criteria the Academy usually looks for.
I remember watching this when i was younger and didnt yet know about cum and shit. I always wondered wtf this shit was he threw. Especially because seconds before it he screams "I cut it! I'm bleeding!" Or something like that. I really started contemplaining about it for sone time and came to the conclusion that he must have white blood and therefore he is in a hospital or he just threw some toothpaste.
Implying the Academy still gives a fuck about movies.
bingo. This is an impossible question.
literal 10/10 masterpiece
(for its time)
today it would be made with shitty HD cameras + nigger hip hop + the mad genius would be a nigger
and also the transexual would be referred to as xir and was a good girl (male) who dindu nuffin
It would have been boycotted because of Transphobia
