The movie certainly is. Shit's great

What movie?

In The Loop

series is better than the film

>tfw he's literally a paedo

what happened to jamie?
also just watched the episode where terri tells tucker he is wrong, great acting from all and of course capaldi

i've seen in the loop ages ago and it was hilarious. i have really high hopes for this one. should i watch it?

He had a hard life.

It's hilarious.

I didn't realise until years later that the original guy was dropped because he was a paedo.

Yes, watch it. It might not make as much sense politically but it's great.

i didn't really understand anything about the political side of the film so i guess that'll be fine lol

it was better than imax inception

Movie was okay as a way to see some more Tucker but the tv show is much much better.

Duggan?

Watch it like there is no tomorrow.
It's "Veep", but better.

I can't work out if Stuart is great or terrible.

On a random note, it amazes me that it's a BBC show about politics and everyone is a white Brit. If anything it's actually not representative of how those offices probably are.

The show was borne from 90s politics. It's not really "current"

>what happened to jamie?
This, I want to know as well. He just disappears, did the actor not want to come back or something?

Does Glenn have the best character development? His relationship with Ollie and disillusionment with politics kept changing/advancement as the series went on.

Glenn goes from miserable old man to completely defeated old man.

Not sure how much of a development it is really.

>500. Emma
I've met her in real life. She's quite nice
I didn't know that she dumped Benedict Cumberbatch right before he blew up at the time

He goes from supporting the party he works for, and working alongside his friend, to losing his friend and going to run as an MP. He then becomes disillusioned with the party as Nicola takes over, and moves to join a new party, who he thinks stands for something. The party end up giving up on all of their principles to be a part of the coalition, and Glenn gives up on politics.

You then have Glenn's relationship with Ollie - going from hostile to more friendly (Ollie supporting him with his decision to become an MP etc) to becoming friends. Then Ollie betrays Glenn to become Malcolm, which is the final nail in the coffin for Glenn, as he loses all hope in politics.

The show doesn't focus on character arcs, they happen amongst the chaos.

I thought Cumberbatch was gay?

I have no idea what he does in his spare time, but publicly he's engaged/married

All the characters feel like they could be people, aside from the way they're all incredibly witty. I think that's what makes it good.

Well I got that wrong completely haha. It must be he was being praised by gay activists or something.

>Oli
>not in the top 5

The inquiry episode is kino

The Stuart-Mannion relationship is one of the best I think
>Drinking champagne in the middle of the day during a recession?! Who do you think you are, P Diddy?

>start app britain
what did he mean by this?

Iannucci is based.

I've always loved everything he's done

>Ah Charlotte, that's an easier name

>I think we should do away with computers
>THAT'S FUCKING MENTAL

>Well, Rajesh-Raj...

>Is it something I'd feel uncomfortable talking about to Andrew Marr
>Yes
>Is it diversity?

Mannion is our guy

>only got 6 months in prison for having pictures of kids getting fucked by dogs

What a world we live in.

> pictures of kids getting fucked by dogs

>Peter, the "Network Nation" is about harnessing the interconnectivity of everyone in society! Innovation, self-investment, revenue flux, growth - ergo, a healthy network. What's so complicated about that?
>All the words you just used

season 3 was pretty weak, they had way too hard a time writing a new character after he had to leave. 4 picked up a lot though

Can't wait for Death of Stalin

>hugh, terri and julius that low

the last season was fucking terrible, those two lib dems couldn't act. pointless apart from malcolm's demise.

only briefly seen 'noses can't break, that's a myth' guy is most underrated character.

>a face like dot cotton licking piss off a nettle

Just rewatched this for the third time and I already miss it. Peter Manion is underrated

I genuinely enjoyed the Mannion/Pearson thing because it was just so believable. As good as Tucker was, he was fairly one-note in being an angry, manipulative man. Pearson was the same thing but turned upside down in a way that was much more realistic.

The moment when he goes mental and breaks a phone is funnier because of it.

John Duggan. You're right, he absolutely is.

Also series four wasn't terrible at all. The thought camp episode is possibly my favourite.

Is it just me or was In the Loop nowhere near as funny as The Thick of it? I enjoyed it, I just didnt laugh that much

Just you

As with lots of things, it's too yankified and simplified.

>I feel like ive joined the scientologists

youtube.com/watch?v=sYOlBsls-C0

HE'S A FUCKING KNITTED SCARF

I didn't even finish it. I think I got to the hour mark without really laughing at all.

it was lazy and those two guys really were rubbish.

What position did Jamie have in government? Is there more than one whip in a party?

They were lenient because he's in the photos.

that makes it even weirder

Best extra thing on TV

Yes. It manages to be hilarious, while also depicting an accurate version of the political system.

I agree, but it's still a good watch and miles better than whatever the Americans consider "politlcal satire".

It's not funny, but I did smirk a few times and the dialogue is enough for me to probably watch it in like 15 years time

>The guy who played Peter Mannion was the first Javert in Les Mis in London

Wew

Well I don't know about the dog thing, no idea where that came from. But from what I recall, he was trying to process something that happened to him when he was young and felt he needed to see the pictures of himself to come to terms with it.

If it's true, it's all kinds of fucked up but it's not really fair to vilify him.

>but still insists it was for research
Ah, the Townshend defence.

>not using the Watkins defence

I dunno, read the wikipedia page. It sounds like it could be bullshit but the courts basically said they couldn't say for sure.

Here's a non-mail source but wikipedia is fairly comprehensive.

How's Capaldi's character? I'm considering watching this show if only because he's in it

See

That makes it worse in my opinion, because level 5 child porn is either bestiality or sadism.

Both deserve longer than 6 months in a cushy little cell away from general population.

The BBC probably greased some palms, that whole fucking company is filled with kid fuckers and porn swappers.

Fucking Phil, man

>"You're an eight year old trapped in a twelve year old's body"

>Well I don't know about the dog thing, no idea where that came from. But from what I recall, he was trying to process something that happened to him when he was young and felt he needed to see the pictures of himself to come to terms with it.
>trying to process what happened to him
>by viewing bestiality or sadistic child porn

Yeah sure, nonce apologist.

He deserves to have his genitals bashed to pieces with a hammer, what a freak.

Whatever the Bong equivalent of the FBI is should hire him if he was able to find child porn starring himself online. How do you even begin to do that? Or did he just have TB of it and stumbled onto them by sheers odds of having so much

Could they even prove it was him in the pictures? Why would he need a TB of child porn starring himself?

His story holds less water than a fucking colander.

>He deserves to have his genitals bashed to pieces with a hammer, what a freak.
Go back to Unilad

It's Capaldi's best role by a wide margin
Everyone was surprised when he was cast as the doctor because his character from this immediately popped to mind and the doctor doesn't tend to swear every other word

>He’s making Paul Remington a Cabinet Minister. Remtard Remington. I mean the guy is an epic fuck-up. He’s so dense that light bends around him.

>MASSIVE
>GAY
>SHITE

>FUCK OFF

Is this the famous britcom that makes fun of liberals

it's so fucking savage i just feel bad as much as i laugh
it's definitely patrician but i fear i'm too much of a weak bitch for it

It makes fun of everyone, but yes.

This is one of my favorite Malcolm rants

It was a condensed version

Also Gandolfini is goat so you can all suck m dick.
In the Loop > The Thick of it.

It wasn't better, but it was good.
