Did you get rid of the checker bass?

nope

favourite chord?

Is Montreal Assembly ever gonna make more Count To Fives or are they just gonna be out of stock forever?

>owns an archtop in 2017

if you play music, they are great.

so are fretless guitars for "dude quartertone lmao" or just double bass envy

Why arenn't you a singer-songwriter /gg/?

because I can't sing for shit, but I'm considering hooking a microphone to a bunch of guitar pedals and distorting the shit out of my voice and calling it dream pop

if you have good intonation, which is almost impossible for a guitar player, they offer a very unique sound and other possibilities.

It's for this kind of shit

youtube.com/watch?v=siXLvtn76Yk

Couple of questions.

I have a Fender Mustang II. Does anyone know how they handle actual pedals? I'm thinking about at least getting a wah pedal to use instead of the touch wah effect built into the amp, but I'd like to run more through there if possible.

Also, what are some good budget-oriented pedals? I'm kinda trying to set up a pedalboard to play around with, but since I'm still a beginner I don't want to spend a fuckton of money without experimenting with pedals first. I'm not really looking for stuff that's dirt cheap and shitty, just something more in the middle (if that exists). I'm into grunge, classic rock, metal, bluesy stuff, etc. but I like to experiment with different genres so versatility is kind of the name of the game here.

what's a good price on a used sm57

There's a cheap xVive pedal that combines compression and an overdrive and sounds decent, it's for bass but they have guitar pedals too

I have a old Yamaha mixing board that i use for recording guitar. It sounds a little flat though, what preamp should I get to boost the guitar sound before going to the mixing board?

Treated vocals can be cool. I don't sing that well either but judging by a lot of players locally it doesn't seem to matter much. My thing is going on stage alone..it's hard enough with a band.

Sounds like the Residents playing jazz.

>learn a few instruments
>get a smoke screen and a laser projector
>greenscreen record yourself doing your own backing track
>project like, six of you on the stage
>be a one man seven piece
now you aren't alone

How can somebody love coke so much?

I have been collecting Coca-Cola full glass bottles for years now. Everything else I own appart from the bass are gifts from people that dont understand that I only care about the bottles.
I just think they look cool as fuck. I have some pretty cool and some old bottles and you dont need to love coke to enjoy my collection. It's just cool. Like that bass.
It's no more bizarre than collecting coins, stamps, pins or butterflies.

...

Through the cock came jizz in your face

I can get a new Peavey Raptor Plus Exp for ~60$, should I?

Well, it's a cheap garbage guitar imo. I'd save for something better, but it's your money

>It's just cool. Like that bass.
You should start drawing you own comic. Maybe you could call it Cokechu. It would be a mix between Pikachu and Coke.

This, until robots.

I already have some sort of similar plan haha

Honestly, I don't doubt it. Good luck, Cokeman.

You should also make a necklace with the main protagonist from your cartoon so you can sell it when you get famous

Should I blow 120 bucks and get myself a practice bass?

god damn these threads get worse and worse every day

...

>want to add a 6th string to a 5 string bass
>everything is perfectly sized for it except the headstock isn't really big enough for another hole

I POSTED IT AGIN MUMMY

You tried to meme the bass, but instead you got meme'd yourself.

>not using one tuner for two strings
not like those high strings are any useful anyways

kewl

...

you know you like it

3fat4me

I'd rather have baby string spacing than a neck designed for mountain golems

It hurts my brain to imagine how you would do this. Am I being rused?

thats just the current "funk carioca"
those two are more retarded/funny ones

...

anyone can find the full ebook of this
or have an idea of where i can find it

gitdecent

Well how do you press the 6th fret down at E and D but not A? I've played chords like this before but not with the low E being pressed down

Why not buy a regular bass?

w/ ur thumb dummychan

Stickers aren't even cut correctly

Post pic? Feel like my thumb wouldn't go that far

yes they r. lrn 2 see pls

just play a G# and move your ring finger up, blocking the A string...

my head hurts.

4 barrage 1st finger
4 barrage 1st finger
5 2nd finger
6 4th finger

your bass make me want to unlearn bass

desu everyone would prolly b bter off in that scenario senpai

mmm...ok

>when you embraced the rejected single life of the bassist

s-shut up

learning guitar is dumb
this instrument is worthless now that Rock is completely dead

You

we know ;___;

>SIX years ago
yeah guitar is real relevant

>guitars cant still do that 6 years later
ok

show me a song that actually utilizes guitar like that and not some shit mash up

>guitar ---> musical instrument
>musical instruments ---> used to play music
>There are other musical genres besides rock

it's an Ab barre chord with a Bb on top; spelled like this on chord charts "Ab/Bb". common in Jazz Rock/Funk/Disco

only 3 contemporary genres ever had guitar as a main thing Rock, Country, and Jazz
>rock is dead while metal is stagnant
>country is stagnant
>Jazz is in its own world

guitars are what you make of them. people will never stop using them is the point. every pop star still have a band behind them

if you care about protagonism of the instrument, music is not your thing.
>

Ha ha ha it's 2017, /gg/. Despacito has 4.4 billion views.

Guitar might as well be an accordion as far as the general population is concerned. It's an irrelevant cultural touchstone from the 1900s. You have no excuse for not understanding this unless you're an out of touch boomer.

>wahh you aren't going to make top 40 rock songs
protip: 99% of musicians never make a popular song anyways so there's literally nothing wrong with catering to a niche; especially with the internet making distribution trivial

youtube.com/watch?v=ZpsLsmGo6II

ok

retards have always been out of fashion. They are still around, posting.

and?

if you're making music to be popular your music isn't worth listening to anyways

we live in a world where the weirdest niches are entirely profitable because you can literally interact with 7 billion people in the internet

hee hee hee

...

What are you asking for Christmas /gg/?

Telecaster

I do it with just fingers.

G in open.

is that uh quelve skrang

ok so i decided i'll apply to ufmg's music school's 2019 class and i'll start practicing guitar and bass more steadly so i get the best as is possible on said period of time. how do i do that? what i put on the practice routine?

amazon to ship my fucking parts already god damn

practice with a metronome. And with an amp clean. No reverb, no distortion, nothing.

user, i...

dude... how high are you?

>all this garbage entry shit
>cheap ass Strats or obscure chinese copies

I have 5 Gibsons™. REAL guitars.Get off your lazy asses and earn some money.

>babby's first Hendrix song

Laying it on too thick with the tm, even for /gg/

...

>I have 5 Gibsons.
>but only three necks.

Nope, just shitty picture quality.

They said the same thing in the 90s

no they didn't you underaged git
