Great albums ruined by bad production

...

311-Grassroots

that album is already terrible

Angra - Aqua

Magnum II

...

pretty much fucking everything. pretty much everthing that rates below a solid 15 on dr.loudness-war.info.
inb4 "muh dynamic range". yeah, actually, muh dynamic range unironically

The mixing makes it literally unlistenable.

Huh, I didn't notice

i actually like the sound, it sounds grittier than the shit on MOP and RTL

production doesnt matter, as long as the songwriting is good, thats what's important

t. nigger who thinks "I PULLA TRIGGA ON NIGGAS" is good songwriting

IIRC it was mastered on cassette tapes. As a side note, I've always wondered what tracks on that album were actually made in 1985.

>I've always wondered what tracks on that album were actually made in 1985.
None, probably. He's bluffing.

The difference in production between the three albums is really interesting, I'm guessing you're not a fan of Bleach?

mfw listens to black metal

wtf are you talking about...

I actually agree with you. I'm just mostly shit posting because I couldn't think of anything.

Not saying ruined in the sense of making unlistenable, but:
Cryptopsy - Blasphemy Made Flesh (dat drum sound...)
Death - Human (the '...and justice for all' of death metal)
Emperor - Im The Nightside Eclipse (kind of muddy and indistinct, synths and vocals WAY too forward ALL the fucking time)

I can hear the bass just fine on Human. I'm not sure where you're getting at here.

...

this is such a tragedy

Shit senpai you must smoke a lot of weed

Any album where they don't take it the singer taking in fucking huge gulps of air between vocal takes, like I want to hear done nigga sounding like he had asthma fucking mouthbreathers

if anyone fucking says white light/white heat
