We had to learn this in fourth class. It's pretty ingrained into my mind.
All the Pokemon are shite after Gen1 desu.
Remember all the shit religious songs and prayers that were forced down our throats in primary school?
It was so cult like.
Gennwunner nostalgicfag
Indeed my fellow Reddit tipper
Did you go to mass this morning?
Appallingly bad taste.
>He's not posting from mass
ALIVE-O
I don't even have to click it, I already hear it.
>Look at the Youtube account
>It's my fucking secondary school
I've recently started to listen irish folk (mainly about IRA) and I really appreciate this. At least you cunt make good music
COME OUT AND FIGHT
Excellent post.
Hardly a big deal, user.
Alive-o had a terrible art style.
Was it kino?

I'm going to Dublin for the first time. How do I avoid unpleasant encounters with gypsies
You won't have any. The homeless crisis there is shocking though. What are you going up for?
Unironically starting to hate other irish expats lads
They're almost every Irish stereotype you can think of
Irish people become much more Oirish once they go abroad and start going on about Tayto and Guinness. Quite cringey.
Tonight I know one """""""""irish""""""" girl (has been to Ireland once to see her grandparents) who went to see Mick Conlan fight
She's in a pub with other expats, all drinking and loudly playing "irish" music in an "irish" pub to show everyone how "irish" she is
My flight home
>How do I avoid unpleasant encounters with gypsies
It's the junkies you need to watch, user. Make sure to wear a sturdy pair of shoes in case you step on any syringes.
Where you from?
Recommend just going from where you are now to the airport
Didn't stop in Dublin once last time I went back
Nothing there to see
Murrica. I've been staying in the ring of kerry and sligo
Those pubs are always awful and really expensive and cater to every stereotype under the sun. Useful to see the GAA matches though. Don't know why you'd go abroad just to spend time with other Irish people though.
Are you going back to Canada?
Have a nice time?
It's been wonderful, especially around the Ring of Kerry. I really loved hiking around the Gap of Dunloe
Hiked around yer Ma's gap of downlow desu.
They're the biggest plastic traps. Irish people here seem to hear the stereotypes Aussies have about Irish people, and immediately try to ben those clichès
When I was in France though Irish bars were very popular with the locals. Such was their popularity that bars that were in no real way Irish were calling themselves Irish bars. French bars tend to be a pretty dour affair.
Irish pubs here are the same as any non-themed pubs with a green veneer to fool the locals
Some of the French Irish pubs really do make an effort to be somewhat authentic, others do not.
>too shy to use social media
>only method of contact with people I knew in secondary school is through the fact that I saved one girl's phone number
>phone broke ages ago
>finally get a new phone
>put the old sim card in
>none of the old contacts are showing up
>that final dead eye in RDR
Primary was rough
People joke about Irish pubs but continental euros have such weak pub culture, you either have to drink in a restaurant or go straight to a nightclub. Or go to the Irish pub that perfectly caters for that niche
(Excluding Germany, Belgium etc)
100% agree. European bar/pub culture is more comparable to the American equivalent rather than anything we have in Ireland or the UK.
You'd be surprised about Germany outside of Bavaria.
You were friends with a girl? What did you talk about and stuff? Didn't think you could just be friends with a girl desu.
Kind of. We used to sit next to each other in biology class and just talk about general things. Towards the end of the year she seemed less lively and cheerful, and then in the next year we weren't sitting together and we barely talked to each other. Even when I tried to initiate conversation with her she'd just seem really uninterested and not say much.
I knew she had a bf and that I didn't have any chance at romance with her, but I wanted to at least stay kind-of friends with her.
>try joining boards.ie
>gets banned nearly instantly
What's the deal with boards.ie really,is it the irish equivalent of reddit or something?
It seems like it, especially since the one post I made before being banned was about reddit sucking.
been gone for a week or so, has the general improved?
It predates Reddit and is much more an older style of forum similar to what gamefaqs or the IGN forums are to gaming. It's been around since 2000 and probably has a much older audience than Reddit or Sup Forums because of it, it used to be seen as the go to place for Irish specific topics before Twitter, Facebook and Reddit.
As with most forums of that time the community is very cliquey and reputation focused. People look at your poster rank, number of posts, posting history and general reputation before considering how to respond to you while moderators are treated like a sort of celebrity.
I never took to it from a social perspective for those reasons but it's always been a very useful place for information on services, job experiences or things like bargain alerts.
It's probably still the largest Irish community on the internet though I believe it has been in a steady decline in recent years.
We had one very good thread during the day on Wednesday or Thursday, but other than that it has been business as usual.
shalln't be sticking around then
see how we are by years end
The Demon Prince is pushing my shit in and the NPC phantoms are no good. Can someone please put down a summon sign at the Within the Earthen Peak Ruins bonfire?
Wexford are going to lose. They've reverted to their tippy tappy hurling.
Arite
Craic?
I was on an actual ship today, pic related. I can see why you lads love boats, if she had an anime equivalent I could see Ciara as my waifu.
>you have friends
>you are not alone
I'M SICK OF YOU ADULTS AND YOUR LIES
Boats are pretty cool but living/working on one is extremely tough.
>76mm cannon
>being a gunlet
anyone ever watched "The Young Offenders"?
Not fond of knackers.
Not much now
Raining again
Yes, it's a very accurate portrayal of Cork knackers
nowt wrong with them
also just found out there's an English market in Cork from this film
C U C K E D
I can imagine, it looked pretty small in comparison to some of the other ships in the harbour and it would feel smaller the longer you spent on it. Comfy chairs though.
I was lucky since I was on the deck of the ship when the water jetpack lads started performing, looked class.
Ciara is cute! Cute!
>actual ship today
Shouldn't be that big of an occasion considering the fact that you live on an island
good to know, I descend from Cork knackers
>jetpack
Irish army inventory is truly amazing.
>nowt wrong with them
That's where you're wrong.
>Ciara is cute! Cute!
>712 tons
Being a boatlet.
How fares the fearsome Luxembourg navy?
It's been years since I was last on a boat before today. Probably my own fault for not getting out more.
The army was there as well, I got to hold a big heavy jacket the bomb disposal unit uses. They had some nice cannons and armoured vehicles as well.
>being a thiccfag
And here I thought you were a man of taste.
Luxembourg is literally unbeatable in naval warfare. Probably.
Unrivaled on all the oceans of the globe since we've adopted the Yamato-class swanboats
>And here I thought you were a man of taste.
At 712 tonnes the LE Ciara is lighter than any Destroyer that served in WW2.
When will you lot step-up your naval game so that I can tatto "IRELAND RULES THE WAVES"on my arms
>Probably my own fault for not getting out more
Well the last boat I was on was the Iowa museum
>powered entirely by human propulsion
>blends in seamlessly with the local wildlife, becoming undetectable to enemy radar
>capable of flight, probably
Give one lad a machine gun and the other a bazooka and you have the deadliest weapon known to man. No wonder Luxembourg resisted by annexed for so long.
Ciara is just a cute girl that doesn't like mean Spanish boys fishing in her waters. Sorry she's not some 70 year old German supermodel. Maybe if you lowered your standards a little you could find a boat to board, the girls you like all end with old Russian men.
As with many Irish cast productions I felt it was trying to appeal more to foreigners by relying heavily on stereotypical Orish characteristics.
Just one example but setting a movie in Cork where a character has a mother working in the English market would be like setting a movie in Manchester with a character who works in Old Trafford. It plays on what an outside audience might know about the place rather than trying to give an actual insight into Cork life.
I can imagine a bunch of Dubs and Brits watching it and proclaiming "yes, this is exactly what Cork is like. They nailed it."
>I can imagine a bunch of Dubs and Brits watching it and proclaiming "yes, this is exactly what Cork is like. They nailed it."
Sad but true.
Cark bai.
I'm in an OC mood lately.
Was thinking of putting some Luxxish quote over it, if you know any good ones you can do it yourself, I don't want to make a mess of it.
On a related matter, does Luxembourg have its own font?
How's everyone's day so far
Why do Dubs get so hostile when Cork is ever brought up in conversation?
Why assume I'm hostile?
Dubliner here. It's honestly jealousy. Your city is beautiful and a pleasure to live in while ours is a smelly west british kip.
Great moves, keep it up,proud of you
I wasn't referring to you.
>a checkbook Dabo and the dam and have a kris eefalt again
You mind giving me a non-Google translate?
It's world Refugee day, lads. Go hug your nearest refugee.
Even in Brussels which is supposedly amongst the best cities for beer in europe we ended up finding and finishing our night in an Irish pub
they're just inherently better (assuming they're decently 'authentic')
Literal translation : If you send a retard into the forest a twat will come back
Meaning:A stupid child will stay stupid forever
>refugee
A what? Do you mean all those people fleeing Dublin and Waterford?
moving to Cork in 2018 lads
I meant to make this months ago, I wrote the idea down in a notepad file.
But what does it have to do with the Grand Duke's Royal Navy?
>wrote the idea down in a notepad file
>notepad file
I suppose I should've said a .txt file to be correct.
Just arrived in the thread. I've decided it's shit.
Did any of you do something interesting over the weekend?
Luxembourg will rule the waves while the Dutch and Belgians drown
...
No. Did you?
Went to the birthday of a girl I know and passed out in the grass in front of the location at around 5 in the morning
Well I was on a two ships, talked with an army man and found out a shop in town is selling Gunpla. It's been more interesting than my previous few weekends at least.
