This is the peak of emo

The guitar work, tight drumming, layered vocals, winter atmosphere, absolutely nothing beats this

Unless you can rec something better

This is really quite good for what it is but I don't think many people here take stuff like this seriously and the band will definitely never be able to top it.

...

these and nouns- still bummed and anything by snowing are post-2000 emo peaks imo

...

...

when did this album become a meme?

literally r*ddit

Do you guys like Mom Jeans at all? I've only heard a little but my friends say it's the most fun show they've ever been to and I just missed them again a month ago.

to me this is truly peak emo. nothing has been able to top it, but things like tmp's this couch have come close.

here is the peak of screamo

can't stand bands like mom jeans, they're just so boring
rest in pepperoni jank

lul

lel

Avant-teen rym users adopted it as the staple emo album

desu that, this, and Circle Takes the Square's Decompositions: Volume Number One are my favorite emo albums

But City of Caterpillar easily measures up

op's is good.
but this is the peak of emo without any fucking doubt.
if you haven't heard this consider it my xmas gift to you anonymous, someone loves you i promise, however much of a fuck you are.
be positive, it really helps.

Off the top of my head?

Mineral
Saetia
Orchid
The Saddest Landscape
pg.99
City of Caterpillar
I Hate Myself
Quantice Never Crashed
On The Might Of Princes
I Would Set Myself On Fire For You
Daitro
Raein
La Quiete

I'm 32 and still on Sup Forums, at 1:30 in the morning no less, so that alone tell you that I know my miserable emo music well. All of the bands I named are old and defunct and I think only TSL is still active out of that list, but there you have it. Subjective, but IMO peak "emo."

Damn this thread has good taste
>NFIIC
>Merchant Ships
>Indian Summer

If I'm to add, I'd throw in Mineral, Jawbreaker or E!E!

op's pic never really clicked for me

nouns is just tumblr lo-fi pop with a sad vibe
GABBAGE

>that's nothing even loma prieta best material

pic related, the best thing they ever did

hey guys I'm working on a list of emo albums to put onto mega to share with you guys, does anyone have any recommendations or requests for what I should include?

I love you, user. What are you adding?

this is it so far I know its pretty bare but I haven't listen to emos for a while so its taking me while to re-remember the bands I used to listen to I'm going to try to Finnish it by the weekend, I'm also going to try to keep it to one album per artist in the chart but I might include more in the actual mega, I also want to make this for people who are getting into emo so that why I put obvious stuff like rites of spring and embrace

I would add Fugazi, because of Repeater alone.

For Emo Revival bands, I would do Modern Baseball and The Hotelier. Both are fantastic acts.

The World Is a Beautiful Place and I'm No Longer Afraid To Die has been making some departure from Emo with Always Foreign, but their albums are solid.

Piebald - When Life Hands You Lemons
The Van Pelt - Stealing From Our Favorite Thieves
You Blew It! - Grow Up, Dude
Snowing - I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted

Another emo go-to for me

OP's album and also The Exploration

lmao

...

Listening to it right now. Thanks for sharing user.

moss icon

good but not as good as gospel

these are the only two viable options imo. Also anyone posting revivalist garbage should be taken out and shot

i saw city of caterpillar in january and pg.99 in september they're active again

If this and Bummer Times were combined into one album shit would be AOTD tier

maggat - a pacific puzzle

...

>implying lyburnum or portraits of past's discography aren't better than those
put your taste in the trashcan, kid

my oneitis had a tshirt with the artwork on the front. 9th grade goods times all around.
