He's been getting away with it for 25 years.
more like
>Tarantino acknowledges that his films are love letters to older B-movies
>films fans see and this and enjoy his fun pastiches
He clearly can
newsflash, a movie doesn't have to be original to be good
He literally is the Hideo Kojima of movies
>being such a braindead child that you care about legitimacy in art
Children shouldn't discuss such subjects if they haven't worked for a single day.
Idk man, the 16 yr old at my work really likes him
...
Any Xena fan is alright by me
Romeo and Juliet is a direct remake of Pyramus and Thisby.
Nobody remembers Pyramus and Thisby because it was inferior to Shakespeare's work in every conceivable way.
In fact, Romeo and Juliet was written to be the same play, but "done properly this time" and changing all the parts that Shakespeare didn't like, or thought could be done better.
hint: Tarentino fans know perfectly fucking well he "rips off" everything in his movies.
You're not breaking new information to them by pointing that out. You're stating the perfectly fucking obvious.
this
>tfw you know the exact physical location he went to get all the esoteric foreign flicks and rare B-movies he ripped off to feign his "unique" style
>le good artists borrow great artists steal
>le contribute nothing artful from yourself and call it a loveletter/homage
he's a nerd's dream come true
if he didn't succeed he would've shitposted here
he was just some weeb that worked at a movie rental place and made it
He is already irrelevant.

Jesus he is coked out of his mind there.
at least Clerks was kind of good
Hated those movies. I was rooting for that bitch to fail the whole time.
He doesn't "rip them off." He pays homage and references action films and samurai films. He isn't trying to hide it.
And JnSBSB and Dogma and Red State and Tusk
this
the difference between an homage and a ripoff pretty much comes down to whether or not credit is claimed or given. Tarentino doesn't pretend to make this stuff up. He openly acknowledges the films he lifts scenes and references from.
I think Jersey Girl was cute. And wasn't Mallrats kinda funny? I may be remembering it wrong since I watched it long ago.
Let's just say, you would definitely break out Mallrats to feel superior to another Kevin Smith fan.
