I haven't seen a stray dog or a cat in a long time.
As a kid there were plenty of them. Not enough to travel in packs but generally every area had one or two.

Guess the charity sterilizations work.
Also getting a pet from a foundation/shelter is a shitload of work now. They'll come busting your doors to make sure the animal will have decent living conditions. Can't disagree, nothing enrages me more than some idiot who took a puppy only to throw it out after the children's got bored

...

The Netherlands has no wild animals, except ducks, swans, rabbits and hedgehogs.

Interesting. Were they too timid to interact with humans or interactive?

That's a nice program, the buy + throw problem happens here a lot. You can sometimes even see Siamese cats here as stray if you look in the right neighborhood.
Never seen a stray dog though.

>his country has rabies

good indicator of a third world country

The dogs in Athens are a problem, got chased once when I visited by large ass dogs and they nearly bit me.
What does light green mean?

Mostly just scared and looking for food. These dogs weren't born stray/wild. People just used to kick them out

there were 2 dogs in my neighbourhood released from some gypsies in the mountain lol

stray cats are common though

That's understandable, poor dogs.

Glad the program worked.

'not known when rabies was eliminated',

I went to Easter Island and the number of stray dogs was a sorry sight.

The dogs are friendly to humans, but they viciously attack each other all the time. Which was good since I don't have a rabies vaccination.

we only have some cats, dunno in the south of Spain but in the north I've never seen one

you are arab
they did their job
whats the problem?

i hate cats
when i come to you
i will make sure that i will exterminate those shitty animals

Rabbies vaccination feels like a mad cow rampaging through your body. Horrible stuff, only get it when you really need it.

fuck off ahmed

ahmeds hate dogs

Thanks
Fortunately for you, Chile (And Easter Island) is rabies free Impressive they did their job, heard most Greeks don't :^)

>tfw no longer in rabies free country list
It was those to the north of us because the outbreak was reported started at the state of Perlis, bordering T**iland

Don't Thai eat dogs though?
The once got some Thai workers in Algeria but deported them because they illegaly hunted wolves and ate them.

and mehmets hate cats

sadly
there are human rights in Greece
but dogs are not humans

...

I have some in my town and they never even attacked anybody. We have about three homeless dog living in our courtyard and we have no problems with them, they are qt and polite.

Cats aren't only for Muslims

t. Owns a cat but I'm christian
That's nice to hear. Do people give them water + food?

>How does it feel like living in a country with stray/feral dogs?
Yes.
>do you fear of rabies?
No.
>Are they actually vicious?
No.

During soviet times there were special teams with rifles their purpose was to patrol the city and hunt down feral dogs, i want them back because i don't like dogs. Dogs are dirty animals.

We don't have any. Stray cats/dogs are a sign of a 3rd world shithole that every 1st worlder like me should avoid.
Grease was literally full of stray dogs when i visited it last time, but they weren't the only problem in that dirty turkish shithole

Why not just spay and nurture

>During soviet times there were special teams with rifles their purpose was to patrol the city and hunt down feral dogs, i want them back because i don't like dogs.
Give years ago is soviet times?
Because that's what you've been doing for Euro 2012 to not scare the tourists lol

Too expensive most of ukrainian just can't afford it.

>ukrainian cities

Crawling with them. Every street has at least a dozen. I've never been chased but I've seen them chase cars a lot. Cats, too, but they're okay, never bother people.

How does India manage to be such a chaos?

By having Indians I suppose

Fuggin doggo

Why tf was the leopard locked?

Yes.

The problem on my street in particular is that they're not all stray dogs. Some subhuman pathetic fuckers let their dogs out to poop on the street and sometime their dog get hostile. I've never had a problem with one of the stray dogs but I don't like them either because fuck dogs.

Stray dogs = third world.

We have plenty here. They've attacked people leaving them with serious injuries and even killed some over the years. Retarded organizations and dog lovers jump in their defense of course.

There are shelters that accommodate some of them, but the primary goal of those shelters are to milk money from variety of programs.

Apparently, you are supposed to declare you have a dog in your local municipality. No one is doing it and of course the authorities are not giving a fuck and no one ever gets fined. Basically nothing stops you from having a dog and kick it out as soon as you don't feel like having one anymore for whatever reason.

The apathy of the society, the mixed opinions, the corruption and the people interested in not resolving the problem since they profit from it has left it ongoing for 25+ years.

I don't see many of them anymore since people started hunting 'em

>How does it feel like living in a country with stray/feral dogs?
Never really had a problem with them to be honest. Almost all dogs are behind tall fences and in the last ~20 years the laws had gotten more strict, so all owned dogs have chips in them.
So if they find and collect a wandering dog somewhere they can immediately tell if it had gotten lost from home, or it's a stray, and deal accordingly with the situation.

We have none so I wouldnt know.

For food?

All pets here must have chip with info, adress etc. and the police can check you in park if you paid tax for your dog

So dogs and cats without chip are sended to the shelter

lonely lying finn with inferiority complex trying to get my attention

Yeah

>be czech
>have to pay to be allowed to own a dog

Not to be rude, but why haven't you guys tried growing some wheat, corn and potatoes instead?

Dude, only 28% of our population finish high school. That solutions only work if the majority of your population is at least a little educated, also is pretty hard to grow out food if you live in the middle of a city and you need to be in your house at least at 6:00pm because otherwise you will be killed/robbed

denmark is rabies free, this map is full of shit

>is pretty hard to grow out food if you live in the middle of a city

Plant pots exist..

>Dude, only 28% of our population finish high school
Wtf you don't need much (or any) education to crow crops, it's like saying you don't know how to create fire. Agriculture is at least 15.000 years old.

>is pretty hard to grow out food if you live in the middle of a city and you need to be in your house at least at 6:00pm because otherwise you will be killed/robbed
Now that sounds like a real argument. Sorry to hear that by the way. How are you surviving user?

In our case I know that it means that some Daubenton's bats have been observed to be immunisated against rabies.

Common news from Russia.
>Ten years ago, the usual commieblock's appartaments in Volgograd turned into a real death machine for defenseless animals. 51-year-old Irina Vasilieva all these years catches cats and dogs in the street, kills and cooks right in her kitchen. According to her, cruel treatment of animals is the only way to feed her family and cure her beloved husband of a serious illness. But the neighbors are ready to arrange lynching over Irina - in fact, besides stray animals, their pets began to disappear, "the story says.

bit worrying

I have no idea if immunisated is the correct word or even a word at all but you get the idea hopefully.

Its like 40€/year and it goes straight to these nice home shelters so they can have human contact

And if you take some pet from the shelter you get food for 1 year and you freed from the tax

Imho its bretty good system

There used to be a lot more stray dogs when I was a kid, but nowadays they aren't that big of a problem anymore.

And what about the time it will take?, and what about protein?, what if you have 3 kids like the standard venezuelan family? you can't live only with homemade crops, it's a good option to minimize expenses though but not enough.
I know bro, but i say that because my argument is that people here like everything that requires no effort. That's why we have a socialist goverment, that's why crime is off the charts, that's why nobody studies, that's why people prefers to hunt dogs for easy meat.
I survive because i adapted to the situation, i feel humiliated to say that but i did.

I guess you're right it makes sense to me now.

>denmarkstill has rabies

Are Danes crypto-mediterraneans?

only bats have a risk of carrying rabies here

>not ending your message with a cheeky "moroccans"

Thankfully we have winter to get rid of all unwanted venomous critters, stray dogs, refugees and such :^)

Bats and other wild animals actually do carry rabies here.

Rabies not really, vicious dogs are put down pretty quickly and sometimes strays are eaten by foreign workers from Indochina or sold as food for crocodiles.

nope. I rarely see the same stray dog more than once. People usually take them or call the animal control guys

now stray cats are a bit more common, but people never know if its a pet or an actual stray cat so people never do anything

I really don't like dogs, but why do Arabs specifically seem to really hate dogs? I thought there was some specific Quran-mandated instruction, but Turkey or Iran don't seem to do the same, but I think it must be mostly Arabs.
What gives?

There is nothing against dogs in quran but dogs are licking their own assholes eating shit and vomit so i guess because of such nasty behavior they are is not welcomed in arab communities.
