Get yer ears checked mate. It's true, the scope of the acoustic guitar sound is not as wide as that of an electric setup. But still, different guitars and recording setups will produce noticeable changes in the tone's temperature, sharpness/fuzziness, fidelity, sustain, and harmonics, and all of these things are underscored by the artist's playing style. If you truly can't tell the difference between Marr's crisp, shimmering arpeggios vs Mangum's warm, swelling strumming then I really am sorry for you, I can't imagine what listening to music would be like without being able to engage with it at such a level. Is there even a point in listening if you pay so little attention that it all sounds the same?
