Death Grips BEWARE
...
Most songs from Sunn O))) are 2spoopy4me
The part in Xiu Xiu's Brooklyn Dodgers where the synths kick in is pretty freaky.
youtube.com
read a little into it
Most of what I've heard from Xiu Xiu has been unsettling and fucking scary.
As far as melodic content is concerned, this one creeps me out.
ooooooo i completely forgot about this
thanku user
you're welcome.
they did quite a few projects, however that one remains the most interesting.
Not now, but when I was a kid "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!" and "Because" by The Beatles used to scare the fuck out of me. I never understood why.
How about an album
There is literally nothing scary about this album
Fear is objective now? I never knew
You are objectively a gigantic pussy
youtube.com
this is just good ambient but something is scary about it too me
it's so bleak I can't listen to it at times
Ok
Spooky Scary Skeletons is a song that I don't dare to listen when I'm alone at home
The Devil Is In The Details is a bit creepy I guess if that's what you mean?
Brilliant song

Fine, maybe I am being disingenuous in saying that it "genuinely scares" me because my experience with the album is limited to sessions of psychedelic drug use. I realize admitting this makes me a gigantic faggot to a lot of people here. Just the truth.
So it's the drugs that make things scary, not the song itself. Got it.
This is top-tier user, really enjoying it.
See that is just it. Something about how the tracks sort of "unfold" or build up, layer after layer, seems to really initiate certain thought patterns, that while amazing and insightful in their own way, are also sort of terrifying.
So it's both.
Fuck how is this song so catchy
If you ever work up the commitment to lay in a dark room for two hours and listen to this thing front to back at a moderately loud volume it will fuck you up. The ending sounds like God is screaming at you. Triple points if you do it on LSD
One time I was listening to this while walking home in the dark. It felt like a serial killer was stalking me from just outside of my vision and was going to kill me at any moment.

>I need drugs to enjoy music

lol oding on lsd
It doesn't actually scare me, just makes me uncomfortable m.youtube.com
I would say this album is more surreal than scary for me. That drone towards the beginning is so fucking beautiful.

not a meme, just genuinely scares me. i guess something being slowed down generally is just really uncanny
Nosferatu the Vampyre was a great movie
early xiu xiu is a web of pure gay terror spun by a lowkey pop genius
The Beatles - Revolution 9
King Crimson - The Devil's Triangle
"Time" by Pink Floyd
"Losing it" by Rush

this album makes me feel a sense of unease for several hours every time i listen to it
That was legit good, some fucking tight noise.
Nurse With Wound is the scariest project I've heard, this guy is uncanny at creating freaky sounds.
When I first listened to Deceit by This Heat, Radio Prague and A New Kind of Water freaked the fuck outta ne
You're objectively fucking gay lmao kill yourself.
has anything ever been so simultaneously hilarious and deeply horrifying?
Haunted by Evanescence used to creep me out a lot. The intro in particular spooked me out because I used to watch horror stories on youtube and there was this one about Bloody Mary and Haunted was playing throughout the whole video. One time I was playing lazer tag with my friends and Haunted played and I stopped dead in my tracks, really weird experience having that song play in a huge dark maze
First heard this in my Mom's unfinished basement with my headphones and 1 desk lamp. I thought I was gonna die
I heard someone play a synth patch that sounded like the beginning of I Carry the Seeds of Death Within Me one time and it made me freeze up, put me right back into the headspace of that entire album.
Yeah dude this shit is no joke. Probably my favorite album from them
2nd one is the wrong one, meant to post this

I've jumped at Luca

'Time' lyrics are scary as hell because there's no way you can escape from what they say.
even the cover is unsettling af
gl user, you're in for a blast
you can if you're young and take it seriously, i think the song is about not respecting your time and not using it to the fullest, and not realizing until it's too late. not just the fact that everyone gets old and dies, though most people do end up with those regrets. if it scares you then use it, you've got the message.
...
Tbh it just makes me feel uneasy, but not scared.
Album is: Set Fire To Flames - Signs Reign Rebuilder
>Cause I'm sure there's someone who knows
>WHERE YOU BEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Me too man. My mother played that shit when I was going to sleep as a kid. It's always bothered me.
Love it now.
Brandon needs to hear it
I had nightmares once after listening to Capture & Release.
This album has defenitely fucked me up sometimes
The musical equivalent of a very well written creepypasta
the two albums are interesting but also really really pretentious
Red Dog Black Dog on Brown Book (Death in June) freaked me out but I was like 12 when I first heard it
Are there any songs in this thread that aren't screamo shit or incoherent noise?
This used to scare me but I love it now.
