Just watched episode 1. Why was the ransom the PM fucking a pig? What was he trying to prove about human morality?

Just watched episode 1. Why was the ransom the PM fucking a pig? What was he trying to prove about human morality?

Westworld crossover.

Why was the wife jealous of a pig a year later? It's not like he was in love with the pig, or even wanted to do it. They threatened his family. That's like getting angry at a rape victim.

This whole episode was retarded.

Worst episode of the good seasons. Why would they open with that one?

As if seeing a woman get fucked by a pig wouldn't be a turn off.

>omg u need to watch black mirror
>it's boring trash

Burned again

What's the objective, correct Black Mirror episode ranking? I liked this episode desu senpai.

Jealous? He looked weak to her, that's all it takes

It's just slightly dated topical nonsense relating to the "David Cameron fucked a pig head!" shit that they felt obligated to include for a laugh. Low hanging referential fruit.

The whole show was retarded

Is this bait?

The ransom was pig fucking because it was the most ridiculous spectacle possible. The point he was trying to prove was that people were so obsessed with schadenfreude, failure, and misery that they would all be too busy tuning in to watch this public disgrace to notice that the girl had already been released into the streets and the whole ordeal didn't have to happen in the first place.

That was released way before the Cameron story broke out.

You're a retard, the David Cameron stuff came out literally years later

Piggate

San Junipero is the best.

All Black Mirror stories are like that in the end though, I don't really see the OMG ISN'T SOCIETY AWFUL aspect of most of the episodes.

So the message behind this one was that the public will watch their PM fuck a pig on live TV rather than sit watching a bridge? Yeah that's kind of obvious, any sane person would do that.

It's like episode 1 of the latest series, oh what now being polite and not swearing all the time is some really crazy, horrible new thing about society?

The only episodes that are actually good are ones that tell a story, not ones that shove some moral high ground down your throat.

What if you're inside a cookie right now?

pigs have a three stage ejaculatory process. The first stage sterilizes the womb and drains out, the second stage is the reproductive package (about a gallon) and the third stage is a sealant to ensure none of the second stage leaks out.

So you've got brain problems if the idea of a woman being pumped full of a gallon of cum then sealed up with superglue isn't intensely erotic.

If the public wasn't so busy getting all cozy to watch their leader disgrace himself in the face of terroristic threats, then there would've been enough people on the streets to see a well known celebrity stumbling around in the streets like a drunk. The public's reaction (which is what the whole episode was about) is pretty much exactly what would happen in real life.

Notice all the times she tried to talk to him about it. He completely shut her off and didn't ask her opinion on the whole issue once.
Even then, it wasn't worth a fucking divorce (a headline from a later episode shows that they split up).

its always funny when people post paragraphs of interpretation and completely miss the point.

As the core point is the people in general value personal shame over a human life.

How the fuck did he get it up?

Technology is bad lol
or something. The same story could be set in the 50s and it'd be almost identical.
Not by a long shot.

>San Junipero
>anywhere near best episode
A cartoon bear becoming the fascist dictator of the planet made for a better episode. At least that was actually Black Mirror. San Junipero was not Black Mirror. It was disgustingly saccharine bland normie shit, literally indistinguishable from your average Hallmark romcom with a shoestring $5,000 budget. Nothing about its sickeningly happy ending, nauseatingly shallow appeal to nostalgia, or insultingly predictable and formulaic writing are Black Mirror.

easily the worst in season 3

fail to see how it misses the point
especially since what you just said is more or less the same thing, shorter and more reductive

This was fucking stupid.

One hipster guy is literally smarter than the MI5

Thank you. Black Mirror is about the negative consequences of technology. The only time SJ comes close to that is when it talks about immortality, and then they wave it away/make it irrelevant by saying you can leave SJ any time.

>mfw had a 20-post argument last night with a schizo retard about San Junipero
I don't understand why someone would get so defensive over a fucking TV episode.

~`. Tryin to make a change :/ .`~

Black Mirror is retarded in general. You really need to suspend your disbelief.

I really liked the black guy on the stationary bike episode. Was hilarious when he gives 15 million to the woman and she just agrees to do porn. Then he's too poor to skip the commercial of her doing porn lol. Actually really enjoyed the song she sang

No world leader would ever do that shit.

>>the writers knew the actual british pm stuck his dick in a dead pig but op doesnt

le sigh. read more bbcnews.

That was one of my favorites as well.

Really struck a chord just how close to real life it was.

Even the ending where they bought him even though he was hell bent and dedicated to his cause. He did a quick 180 after the offer was made.

DUDE SOCIAL COMMENTARY LMAO

I watched S1 and 2 recently but haven't started in 3. are any of the S3 eps good?

Well some would.

But yeah, it's giving in to terrorist demands, which is always stupid.

Cycle nigger
POWER GAP
Every other episode

Many American episodes which are... well more American.

I liked the first episode. But it was the first ep. I saw. It's pretty similar to other episodes, so I can see if people found it just boring and repetitive.

Interestingly, it's basically a defense Sup Forums.

Whatever subtlety the show had was gone the second Netflix purchased it

women are dumb

wut.

It gained more significance once we learned that david cameron stuck his dick in a pig.

season 2 ep 4 was pretty good

him doing the 180 left a bad taste in my mouth. why didn't he just go through with his original plan? or was the point of the episode everyone has a price and sells out eventually?

Dunno, but it seems like it may have been more satisfying had he brought down that whole societal structure. Seriously, fuck ads.

>or was the point of the episode everyone has a price and sells out eventually?
i think that was it

it was the most reddit episode I've ever seen.

Goddamn I forgot how fucking retarded this show was. What's worse is that it obviously takes itself very seriously

Season 2 is pretty bad

Is this show actually good or is it Reddit trash? No offence but I get the impression that the lower IQ Sup Forums users are the ones making tv show topics

trollface aside that episode was pretty good.

I thought it was a pretty good critique of capitalism/liberalism and how it eventually absorbs and commodifies all dissent (see: Civil Rights Movement, Che Guevara's image, Rage Against the Machine). It's basically the Borg.

its ok for a tv show

holy fuck that is depressing when viewed in that context.

His edgy show is basically Black Mirror/Newswipe. I'm pretty sure it's Brooker being self-aware

How did he get away with breaking monitors in his room when he had no credits to pay for anything?Shouldn't he be dead or something?

all the contestants on the show were given a substance to drink before they performed right? So after she performed, she was more susceptible to the judges suggestions thus easily agreeing with them.

That was the scariest and most depressing episode to me because of my current wageslaving status

Didn't they give him pills?

What if the PM had been a woman?

Okay bear with me a minute, just think about this

In Men Against Fire

Why didn't they just

Give virtual waifus to all the inferior people so they wouldn't breed with real humans instead of giving virtual waifus to pureblood soldiers who have to go kill the inferior people???

Likely because:
>they wouldn't accept the MASS implant
>they would still exist, which is not what anyone wants
>it would humanize them, making others more sympathetic

>I know more about what Black Mirror is than the guy who created the show and wrote San Junipero

The only board worse than Sup Forums is Sup Forums

>What if the PM had not complied with the request at all.
Like this kind of shit doesn't happen now? What happened to "not negotiating with terror-bads"?

>The only board worse than Sup Forums is Sup Forums

I'll take "Opinions from people who have only browsed Sup Forums and Sup Forums for 200, Alec."

You have no idea how much manga I read little man.

It's amazing how many criticisms on this board are about implausible psychology. Maybe you're just autistic and don't get how people think?

So if Charlie Brooker made an episode that was just two cavemen having sex for 45 minutes, that would be Black Mirror just because he created the show?

Except San Junipero isn't even equivalent to that.

Awful. Retreaded ideas already done better in previous episodes + muh non normative sexuality + muh 80s nostalgia. It was trash.

15 million merits (stationary bike dystopia) is the best black mirror episode by several orders of magnitude

There was some art critic that called 9/11 the greatest work of art of the 21 century, so the episode was inspired by that mindset.

>"But they're all about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy"
Direct quote from Brooker, implies Black Mirror is about negative unintended consequences of new technology. San Junipero Fails to meet that standard

Sorry your favorite ep is shite brer.

But if he did, it would be Black Mirror according to you.

15 Million Merits >= White Christmas > Shut Up and Dance > Nosedive > all else

>is pretty much exactly what would happen in real life.

I never watched the show after this episode. It was exceptionally poor. A lot of people gush over this show which leads me to think that perhaps I should attempt another viewing of the subsequent episodes/seasons.

Episode 1 is pretty mixed opinion but most people consider episode 2 to be extremely strong, watch it instead of watching 1 again

She didn't want him to do it because she couldn't take the embarrassment and the trolling that resulted.

Everyone was so preoccupied with the television event of the PM fucking a pig that the public didn't even realize that she was let go an hour BEFORE he fucked the pig.

It was a message.

Wow, what an argument.

Yeah, if it had a title sequence and credits and came on the DVD it would be an episode.

A shitty episode, but still an episode.

What's the message?

How is White Christmas not literally everyone's favorite episode. It was pure KINO.

if you kidnap a princess and make a demand for the prime minister to fuck a pig on live tv, you can just let the princess go while everyone is waiting for the prime minister to fuck the pig on live tv

great message

wtf I love black mirror now

The showrunner is supposedly feminist but depicts all his female characters as irrational, weakwilled or evil.

>meanwhile in real life

That people will obviously pay more attention to a once-in-a-lifetime event on TV than the "real world" and therefore they are superficial or something.

I laffed when that slutty press women got shot

San Junipero = tumblr
Waldo = reddit
Shut Up and Dance = Sup Forums

I think it's pretty fucking clear.

Anyone here thought Call of duty black ops 3 actually seemed like a Black mirror episode?

The frozen forest is pretty much San Junipero, the augmented eyes are just like the History of You, and then there was the whole substory about morality, technology, and even whether or not an AI can become aware like the Cookies in White Christmas

And then there was the whole Treyarch mindfuck at the end.

If it was so fucking clear he wouldn't have asked now would he?

If this episode and it's purpose confused you, you're retarded.

>he

Is there a bigger cuck than Potter in all history?

>Wife gets cucked and bred by a Chinese guy
>AI copy gets cucked into making a confession by some Alpha dating coach

>"You're blocked by everyone now hehe."

How the fuck is Draper supposed to do everyday normal things now?

Nothing.
It all goes to show that under the right circumstances people would hate someone that isn't willing to fuck a pig over a potential murder and kidnapper.

Yeah. Especially the one where Bryce Dallas Howard gets blacked

Hes probably going to get murdered by someone soon if only sexual offenders are coloured red.
